They have been in every pitch perfect movie and don't even have their faces in the posters. The very fact that not a single co-star bothered to ask for their inclusion still makes me sad.
I mean that's not how movies work. The size of their roles, their speaking parts, inclusion in marketing, media appearances, etc, are negotiated by their agents/managers. They are there to do the work that they're contractually obligated to fulfill, not more and not less. And since they are both less well-known than their headline costars, they're obviously going to get less screen time, fewer lines, etc. Whether or not their costars like or care about them has absolutely zero to do with any of that.
sometimes side characters are better than main characters, Jessica and Ashley were underrated they deserved bigger parts, Shelley Regner is bloody gorgeous would love her "on top" lol
