This video was very helpful for me because I am trying to become more comfortable working my bees and to witness how comfortable he is gave me that extra boost of confidence 😀 Thanks for the video
Yes i liked the video and as someone else commented it is soothing /relaxing and i am no longer scared of bees as i my job i have come across bees !!TV GUY !!
One of these days I hope to have space enough to be able to get into bee keeping! Until then, I'll continue to suck up as much knowledge as I can from your videos, as well as other UA-cam videos!
I actually did notice the shape of a face pretty rad I must admit! I still admire people who handle bee's like they're little pets! I personally don't want to be no where near a hive it's scary thought of getting attacked by a swarm
You did a good job with that fast forward of the bees walking up the board!! I tried it on the swarm I caught the other day and switched off my camera. Oh well, maybe next time.
I am use to the french cleat using the 45 degree angle, did you try that before you went with the one you are using now? Reason I am asking is I like the way you are using the cleat versus everyone else is using a platform etc. Your's is a much easier way to mount it to the tree.
Found this description... ‘Drawn combs = Full depth comb ready for brood or nectar with the cell walls drawn out by the bees, completing the comb as opposed to foundation that has not been worked by the bees and has no cell walls yet.’. This suggests to me that the bees begin at the bottom or back of the cell and ‘pull’ the sides outwards. Must be a very old term as it is hard for me to figure out why that term came about. FYI here is the link to an alphabetical list. www.bushfarms.com/beesterms.htm

Find a friend or someone you know that keeps bees and give it a try. You never know, you may enjoy it.

Mike Barry That happens to me a lot lately.
Why didn't you shake bees into the hive, instead of the ground??
The bottom of the swarm box is usually full of debris and hive Beetles.
I thought it looked like Groot's face lol.

These are cut on the 45 degree. I like this much better than using the old board hanger on a nail. Thanks.
@@josephrawls how deep is your trap?
That was interesting!
Thanks for watching.
I got stung 3 times just watching this video!
LOL Thanks for watching.

In didn't take her out. I caught her to mark her but didn't have my paint pen with me at the time. Thanks for watching.
Can I have trap box in backyard were i keep my own bees?
Yes, anywhere near a tree line where you can see a lot of honeybee traffic is good.
2:55 whats on the tree crawling
I think it was a lizard.
Thanks Joseph very good info, thanks bro.
Thank you.
what is a caged queen.thanks Mike Michigan
That is the term used when you catch the queen and put her in a queen cage for temporally holding, transporting or marking. Thanks for watching.
I am Groot
What do you mean by ‘drawing out’ ?
Drawing or drawn out is a beekeeping term meaning they are building comb.
I would never have guessed,lol.
