In the manga they don't crumble like stone/dust. Literally cracks form on their skin and they become meat chunks. The anime is aired in japan during hours children watch so they have to censor it.

The dog dying while being next to him
His sister dying while turning her back at him
His grandparents dying just by being on the side and doing nothing
Her mother dying by reaching out and hugging him but it's too late
His dad dying by Shiggy killing him on purpose with anger and hatred(Just like how his dad was to him)
Shigaraki's story is so sad. He wanted his family to tell him that he could do it. That he could be a hero. Just like Deku wanted his mom to tell him. But they never did, they just accepted what his dad said and did. Just told him to endure the pain and suffering. Until it all burst out.
He also listened to what his dad said. Dad says "a hero will get their family killed" and he was like ok im a hero now

Many reactors don't really know that the anime censored Shigaraki's quirk and i've seen some say that this was an "artistic choice" but no, this is how the quirk of Shigaraki always worked.
Still turned out pretty great despite that.
I forgot how much more gruesome it was in the manga so I thought his quirk just wasn't complete as a kid. Pretty sure that's what the anime is trying to go with, at least

The itchiness might also have something to do with having mutated quirks when they are suppressed or when it just builds up inside them, it was the same with Eri’s horn.

I love when Shigaraki kills his Father he puts his hand on the same place he then keeps his ‘Father’ (on his face) ♥️
Unfortunately they cut out a subplot at the beginning of MVA where the League was in need of money and attacked a Church that was against heteromorphic humans (mutants) so Spinner got a bit of character development there. So if you think they are forgetting about him, they didnt, they just cut his part.
One of the reasons I'm dissapointed in how they handled this season. Pacing is at the beginning was slow and nicely animated but they rushed MVA. Hopefully they plan s6 better since there wont be the excuse that they had to work on the movie
In addition they cut out a lot of Re-Destro’s character development. More specifically the stuff that gave us a better idea of who he was. That him standout among the pantheon of MHA villains. We manga readers know of it, but anime only’s never will…
That's why i encourage anime people to read the beginning of this arc, from 218 onward.
They also cut out the fact that the dad constantly abused him. This just looks he got hit once and decided to go on a rampage. The stress and hatred built up over time

This is why MHA anime is censored a lot. The manga has good levels of blood and gore.

So, for the censorship, I read that they can show whatever they want, but it can't be "recognizable". So you know that dog meat on the ground, but you don't "know" it because we saw before and after

Hot take, but I do actually think that the part of Shigi's backstory where noone helped a lone bloodied kid roaming the streets was more "formative" to his personality then the tragedy itself.

The anime always liked to cencore a lot of things like if you read the manga there a lot of scenes that are grosse af.
Currently the timeline is super annoying lol. So the Villain arc was supposed to happen BEOFRE the internship arc, and then the two arcs would tie in together for the war arc. For some reason they decided to flip the arcs?? Don't know why and that makes the times even more confusing then it already was. So technically the last episode of the season happened nine days before episode 101. And currently Endeavor is 46 and since All Might is older than him by a couple of years he is either 49-52 yrs old. :)
They did it so the movie that is supposed to happen during the endeavor agency arc lines up with the events of the anime

Honestly why ppl get angry when Tenko father hit him with a stick? What you guys expect him to do in that situation? He literally just saw his parents, wife, daughter and dog get brutally killed by Tenko then Tenko was rushing to him, what you guys expect him to do there? Tbh he even hit Tenko then stop to tell him to stop it, instead of keep hitting him.
I don't undestand how you guys (talking about everyone in the comment too) think Tenko did right killing all his family like that. Yeah coz he killed them, when he realize that he was the one doing it he just keep doing it thinking that he hate them all.
So yeah he wanted to kill them all. For what? Coz they didn't let him play heroes? Just imagine Coco killing all his family coz the grandma didn't want to let him sing...
Tenko father was way better then Endeavor, he actually loved everyone. His only problem was denying Tenko doing hero stuff coz he didn't want him to be like Shimura. He punished Tenko just by sending him to the garden, literally to the garden. That was the softiest punisment I've ever seen.
That ONE and ONLY time he slap Tenko that same night he understood that he went too far. Even his parents and wife at that point stood up against him.
Tenko mother, sister and grandparents too weren't even that bad, they only mistake was literally just not standing up to his father when he sent Tenko into the garden...
Tenko family wasn't that bad compared to many, MANY NORMAL family in real life.
If for that little problem is right for Tenko to kill all his family then problably half of asian family should be killed by their son/daughter.
I'm asian myself, my mother punished me FOR REAL (so not just sending me to the garden LOL many times since I was kid and I love her and thanks her that she didn't let me be a spoiled person) and trust me if I'm saying that asian family are not easy, they even become a meme.
But sure, they all were monster so is totally understandable that Tenko killed them all right?
Honestly Tenko is just a spoiled child that want everything to be as he want, he didn't even care about times when his family was good and lovable with him, he only hate them all for that one and only things.
the hate on the family is done by people who dont know all the details or havent really thought about the “why and how” of all of this. i dont think people should hate all of them. out of obligation of respecting the man who is my husband/ son in law, and who provides and keeps a roof over our heads, im not sure i’d feel “right” telling him to stop. i understand its a different culture so as much as i agree with stopping him, it just wouldnt/shouldnt happen, unless it went too far, which it did. i think the only hate thats justified is towards the father. he might have “loved” his family but he was raising them and treating them the wrong way. unfortunately he realized too late. perhaps if he had time, he would have also been able to atone just like endeavor has started to. also, abuse is abuse. doesnt matter if its “not as bad” as some. its not a competition, man.
oh yeah. super soft punishment. making him think his father hates his guts and wants him gone because his 5 year old talks about heroes. making him feel the same way he did after nana left him. it might have been the first time, but smacking him MULTIPLE times in succession after he found out he saw the picture. throwing him outside for hours at a time until he “apologized”. apologize for what? being a kid? not following a rule he doesnt even understand why its there in the first place? his 5 year old son. super soft lol.
tenko is a unreliable narrator. he was told by afo that that was his nature, that he wanted to kill his whole family, when anyone with eyes could see he was in total pain and confusion. what else would a small child think after accidentally killing his whole family, and being told that by the only person willing to help?
so of course when reflecting back on it, he really WOULD think that’s exactly what he wanted.
i understand the fear his father had. i would be fuckin terrified too. but his son was obviously in great anguish, apologizing and instead of offering comforting words he hit the fuck outta him with a hedge trimmer. at least his mother went down trying to comfort him. i couldnt imagine walking on eggshells my whole life hoping i dont piss off my father and wondering why he doesnt love me because you want to save people and be a hero. especially when youre only 5 and you live in a hero saturated society. maybe if he talked about WHY he didnt want them to be heroes things could have turned out different.
also, i really like how you called him spoiled. because he wanted to grow up and be a hero? because he wanted to feel loved? wanting to feel heard and seen by the people that were supposed to love and protect him? wow, what a brat he was. lol

To be honest, the only person that was selfish and truly deserves to be hated in that family was nana shimura herself.
Why did she have a child when she clearly knows the dangers of having one for all and being targeted by all for one. Even if she got one for all after kotaro was born she could have tried to make a better life for him. Instead she just threw him in foster care one day without even allowing gran torino ar anyone else to look after him.
It's like thinking that having a dog would be fun but one day realising that you cannot really take care of him so you just throw him on the street. Now replace the dog with a child and you get nana shimura

But Its also a boy with no control over his incredibly huge power that has already "accidentally" killed 4 people. What should he have done? Just died? Its obvious he wasn't looking to end Tenko in that scene. Just incapacitade him. Thats more or less the best decision he could have made in that situation. That reaction of "you die right now" was way over the top. If he tried to kill Tenko for some stupid reason like "talking about heros" I'd be behind the stance of "you die right now" but that was just... kinda thoughtless.
Yeah like hitting his son in that moment made that any better that just made Shigaraki hate him even more
@@LegendsForever206 What? What do you think that hit was intended for? He tried to stip him. In that moment the fact that Shigaraki would hate him more was irrelevant. He could have died if he didn't do it. Granted, he still died, but at least he tried to stop him and survive like any person would and should. In a situation like this the thought of "Oh god he might hate me even more" is nonsensical and dumb. Survivial is the only valid thought at that time.
