Yeah I mean the manga is up to about what, a year and a half since the plot started? The anime is like 3 seasons away from catching up to it. Which means aside from the 10 month training montage at the beginning we maybe go through a month each season. That's some slow time progression.

It has been about just over 5 years since the Manga started, and almost 250 chapters later and Class 1-A still have about just under 3 months till starting their second year in the manga, so if we assume there will be 300 chapters making up their first year, we have about another year to go in the manga before starting second year, at which point if Horikoshi keeps up that pace it's going to take 6 of our years to depict one school year in the Manga, meaning we will have to wait 12 years to watch Deku graduate, and even then the series might not end!!

@Izuku Midoriya And that one raid took half a season. I can count the number of actual events in the anime on one hand (granted I can count to 31 on one hand with binary, but still). I'm not complaining about it, I actually think it's a hallmark of a good show, but the fact is that each story arc takes quite a while, so there aren't many. Combine that with the fact that each arc is centred around one event and there aren't many events in the show. Also Chisaki wasn't a giant monster until the end, at which point he was no longer using Eri's quirk.

@Izuku Midoriya And that one raid took half a season. I can count the number of actual events in the anime on one hand (granted I can count to 31 on one hand with binary, but still). I'm not complaining about it, I actually think it's a hallmark of a good show, but the fact is that each story arc takes quite a while, so there aren't many. Combine that with the fact that each arc is centred around one event and there aren't many events in the show.
Also Chisaki wasn't a giant monster until the end, at which point he was no longer using Eri's quirk.
