UPDATE: I saw a good point on Twitter that if Mega Evolution is returning, then Primal Reversion theoretically could too. It's a bit of a stretch, but this would include Kyogre and Groudon in the list of returning Pokemon, bringing the total to 198!

If we might see Primal Kyogre and Ground, why not Mega Latias, Latios and Rayquaza (also I'm pretty sure there's gonna be ne a new A legendary pokemon)

I would also say that the Patrat line and the Elemental monkeys are likely, as they're the only Pokémon yet to be in any Switch game and are all found in the Kalos pokedex. Spinda could also be a possibility as while it's in BDSP, it can't be transferred in or out of it and is also in the Kalos Dex
Good catch! With Legends Z-A likely being one of, if not THE last Pokemon game on the Nintendo Switch, I wouldn't be surprised if Patrat, Spinda, and the Elemental Monkeys show up too!

I still can't believe we're getting a Kalos lol. Here I was thinking that we'll get either a Unova or Johto game, but they just threw a curveball and said, pas aujourd'hui. Also, Nintendo America tweeted that the game will be located entirely in Lumiose City, so I'm thinking that the city will be a huge open world map. I'm wondering how the catching will work then. Aaaaah. I'm so excited to learn more about it.

I think that it will be mostly in lumiose with expeditions to areas outside of lumiose to capture pokemon and gather materials to help build up lumiose to what it is now.
It would be cool to see hisuian sligoo and goodra instead of the normal ones as if goodra came to kalos because of humans travelling and eventuallly adapted and evolved to fit in with the kalosian climate whereas in sinnoh, they eventually ended up going extinct or smth explaining why they werent in diamond, pearl and platinum.
I’m just scared that Lumiose City is the entire map
Because that would lead for almost no Pokémon diversity due to Lumiose being a small place
it’s definitely not, there will be a huge wild area just like in arceus, but lumiose city will be being built and i think we (as the player) will be helping build it in some way
Nintendo have confirmed that the entire game does take place in Lumiose City, but I don't think that's worth being afraid of until the game releases in 2025! From what we've seen so far, the city is much, MUCH bigger than it was in Pokemon X and Y, and I have to imagine it takes inspiration from other popular games that take place entirely within one city, like GTA or the Batman Arkham series!
As for the Pokemon diversity, I'm fairly certain that it won't be ruined due to the game taking place in one city, I'm not sure HOW they'll do it, but I'm confident they will find a way.

Imagine there being an abandoned factory where there are ghosts still working the plant
Hopefully at least 10% of it is a wild area, with the map being as big as all the different areas in Hisui combined and then some
I’m reluctant on Mewtwo being on the game along with the other legends. But technically mewtwo isn’t in SV outside of the mew event and Mewtwo is catchable in Kalos so whon knows

I feel like out of all the Megas introduced in ORAS that are almost guaranteed to return are the ones that were previously in the Kalos Dex, and these Pokémon are:
Beedrill
Pidgeot
Slowbro
Steelix
Sableye
Sharpedo
Altaria
Salamence
Gallade
Audino
Diancie
As much as I would like for all old Megas to return, I’d feel like the ones first introduced in ORAS, as well as Mega Blaziken, Mega Latias, and Mega Latios that weren’t in the original Kalos Dex are unlikely to return because they would clutter the Lumiose Pokédex.
I really want to see predictions on what the starters are going to be, because it gets more complicated the more you think about it
The dex images in scarlet and violet may be hinting at it
Will there finally be a kalos mega evoloution?
