To give "the classics" respect and care is great, should be self-evident😊 Such "beasts" are not disposable "items"😊Thanks for the video - AND the look inside 👍🤩
Great video!. Thanks for making it. I have a 1990 heritage and I absolutely it. The motor died about 2 years ago. So I put an S&S 111 in it. It still has that Great old look. But really rips. Real surprise to twin cam and m8 guys when you can easily beat them. Super video........ killer bike!
Kept saying “file the points” and I was just saying to myself, they ain’t no points on this bike it’s a 94! From the ignition box under the seat still the stock Harley ignition. Trick with the choke of it’s a modded evo I’ve found is start it with full choke and back off to about half. Just gotta ride easy and listen for when it’s ready to be off choke. They can take a bit to warm up, but under load it goes faster.
I agree, in the making of this video I soon found out it did not have points, you are correct, the choke issue is fixed too, the video was too long to add everything in, thanks for the comment.
The way the bike hesitates after you pull the throttle makes me wonder if you need to adjust your mixture screw on the carb. It sounds like it's struggling for fuel. Very pretty bike though. Good job.
Yes sir you are absolutely correct. I was just doing that now. She is running great. Had to drill out the plug that was blocking the screw, . Thank you for your comment
I just bought a 94' heritage softail thats been sitting forever... last oil change was 7 yrs ago! so i'll be doing some maintenance on it, thanks! for this vid as I will probably do the gas tank cleaning as well.
There's a reason that Harley has beautiful stores. They sell a lot of repairs, and sell a lot of overpriced merchandise to people who spend a lot of time waiting for their Harley to be repaired.
You can get old or bad gas at some stations so I run good on shell or Chevron gas left in a tank starts turning bad in 4 or more months I run my reserve now and then to run out any old gas
I just had the carburetor on my Sportster for the first time in 25 years. Even with a carb full of crap it still tried to run. AMF made the EVOLUTION and it's HD's best motor. Twin Cams and M-8 are disposable and mechanical nightmares. Old fuel and oil line needs replaced because of age. EVOLUTIONS are great bikes.
Where I live they are everywhere on Facebook marketplace for cheap. I would look there first instead of buying from the Harley store. They will charge you an arm and leg for it.
Correct but the tank gets dirty from fuel sitting in it for long periods, starts eating away the sealant that's inside the tank from the factory. Clogs up all the ports and carburetor.
When doing this video I found out it did not have points and it had an ignition and coil kit from S&S, the video was too long so I didn't show it in the video. Thanks for the comment!
I had a 95 Fatboy when I got it had been parked for 25 years and I got it running and drove it for next 4 till I sold it. Evo Harleys are tough to kill.
Great Video, My brother has the exact same bike and also has the same base gasket leak and rust inside the tank, can i ask what the pipes are on this bike as they look and sound great?
why no spark at beginning of video....i missed it somehow....was it bad plugs or ignition coils or battery or what ?? and what about the baking soda you mentioned.....
Yeah there were a couple video parts that I didn't throw in there because the video was too long. I did baking soda and water mix and dumped them in and let it sit over night. For the spark issue, the plug that I was testing one of the plug wires were bad which was addressed.
i guess you didn`t bother with a carburetor clean....most guys would have....but you got lucky....good stuff....thanks for video....a carburetor clean would have happened if it was an S&S carb....jets and float bowl etc all gummed up and or sticking....again good video....my 89e evo decker soon to be same treatment.....canada
The video was too long, I did pull it off and it looked great on the inside, put it all back together and shes a runner, CV carbs are pretty forgiving. I don't know much about S&S carbs but I have heard they are a pain sometimes. Thanks for the comment!
when you run no baffles...possibility of burning valves and there is no back pressure plus a loss in acceleration and horsepower....even though so many run no baffles.....just to let you know....
Now that's the way a Harley Davidson should sound like.
Awesome job on bringing it back to its glory days. Love your point on saying its not fast but a classic motorcycle to make us smile.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
Love the old bikes. Got an '05 Fatboy. Modern as I'll ever get!! Enjoyed ur video. Old Biker from Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺

The Evo sounds so nice. It brings back memories. Nice to see a classic get some much-needed love.
Couldn't agree more!
Beautiful and sounds amazing
Thanks a lot!

13:13 LOL!
Evos need a good warm up ride for a few k’a before you open er up, so as avoid the leaky base gaskets.
Enjoy!

Awesome bike!!! Great work man! And yes a bad day? Wind therapy!!!
I really enjoyed you get this older Harley running again. Keep the rubber side down.
Thank you!
Listen to that sound! That’s what a Harley should sound like.

Dang 7 years is a long time to be sitting, good luck with that and glad you liked the video. 🤘
I appreciate how he did not edit the fall out of the film

Thank you glad you enjoyed it 🤘
Awesome video man, new sub. Love what you did for that evo man. The pipes are sick ....
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing restoration brother fire 🔥
Thank you sir. Glad you enjoyed it

Evo engines are great love them
Pretty cool. I have that same bike. Probably my favorite one out of all the ones in the garage.
Yeah I would love to own this bike, the white and grey with the red pinstripe is so sweet, it looks so old school!
Oh and by the way I watch Your videos all the time, excellent work Saddle tramp!
@@OFFBEATFILMS1125 Thanks, man! I just got back from a 1500 mile round trip on it. It ran good and strong.
Is that the one that Vic did with you or did you just do another video on the old heritage. Either way I will be watching for a video to come out. 👍
@@OFFBEATFILMS1125 A different trip. Went to Tampa for the umptenth time.
That softail is sick!! Currently looking for one
What’s your budget?

Nice vidio
Amazing video you helped me a lot

That's a great idea. I have Casey's gas in her right now. 91 octane. I live in Iowa. That's the closest thing I have to me. A lot of corn as well 😁
@@OFFBEATFILMS1125 your in a good state I'm from fla been stuck in Las Vegas plan on moving back
@@VincentDavidson-q7b in Florida we of course have 93 octane, and many stations now have Ethanol Free, as well as E85 for some real power.

You put a carb on your bike after 25 yrs..??
AMF didn’t make the EVO
@@josephtizol9695 the EVO moto was under development for 7 years before it came out . Do you think the new people did it over night?
@@jerrybigrig My carburetor was cleaned for the first time in 25 years. My smart phone is stupid.
@@frankmarkovcijr5459why yes yes I do
I want that air filter cover so bad. I’ve been looking all over for one that doesn’t look like crap.

How does the inside of a tank get dirty, correct me if I'm wrong but don't they have caps that seal off that filler hole in the top ?
Correct but the tank gets dirty from fuel sitting in it for long periods, starts eating away the sealant that's inside the tank from the factory. Clogs up all the ports and carburetor.
Did you put the Fatboy badges on it or Heritage fender?
No sir that's how this guy bought it from someone, looks good in my opinion.
I did not know, thank you for telling me, they look great.
i dig it 🎉
😎👍😎
How bad were the points ..??
When doing this video I found out it did not have points and it had an ignition and coil kit from S&S, the video was too long so I didn't show it in the video. Thanks for the comment!
I use kerosene and marbles to clean the tank and oil bag.
That's a great idea, how hard was it to get the marbles out?
I had a 95 Fatboy when I got it had been parked for 25 years and I got it running and drove it for next 4 till I sold it. Evo Harleys are tough to kill.
Yeah other then the base gaskets I would say these machines are hard to kill.
I have the same 1994 Nostalgia here in Germany. What milage do you think your Harley has: 27.900 or 127.900 ? Looks more like 127.900, your guess ?
What exhaust is that?
I believe they were Samson dual shots
cool car, ) how much did this bike cost?
beauty
Beautiful challo bike
I hate these will it start titles, it’s not like. . The bikes been sitting in the back of a jumk yard 4. 30 years.

They are the Samson street sweeper and I agree they sound real good!

The real question is why would you want to?
Hear-i-tijz
Old Harley lmao
That not old.
I'm 24 years old, safe to say it's old enough for me lol 🤣
You got a point there it would be old to you. I'm 74 lol. Heck I'm a old goat hope you ,well I know you will enjoy your ride. Sweet ride.
Take that damn fat seat off the back and it will probably run. 🤮
I'm going to go ahead and check the muffler bearings and blinker fluid while I'm at it!
Bad music cant listen to it
Sorry 🤷
"The owner wanted the handlebars tilted"
Is this a joke ?
File down the points ? This is a waste of time, I'm tapping out !
