I'm sorry I took all of last week off, I had some pains in my right hand because I was over practicing Mazeppa by Liszt ( ´･･)ﾉ(._.`). I took a long break from that piece, might revisit it, carefully this time. So! I'm back, and my hand is feeling much better. Just in case however, I chose to play "Eyes on Me" today because it would be easy on my hands. This piece is just one of my favorites, and it is beautiful. So much so that I didn't want to change the original notes from the Piano Collections (just like my last cover of this). If you're wondering why the sound is so clear now, it is because of a new mixer, and two more mics! My recording set up is now much better, and it will only get better as I add more gear, and learn how to use it more effectively. I truly hope you enjoy this cover. I didn't expect this, but I really needed to hear it. It brought back so many memories when I was struggling with myself years ago, and one of the songs that helped me was this one. I remember listening to it over and over again. Now, years later, I've been struggling again with myself for months, but today I've been hitting my point of breaking down and not being able to keep it together because so many bad things happened this week where I can't think of a positive out of the events. So I would like to say thank you for posting this, because it made me smile and sing along when listening to you play. ❤

I used to play the piano when I was younger but had two strokes when I was 10 due to various other neurological conditions that came along at the same time and haven't been able to play since, though I've tried many times; I miss having the ability to play the piano very much. I love listening to you play, though I'm incredibly jealous, I have to admit. The depression I suffer from has been particularly severe in the past few years, this song does take me back to a happier time and it is so nice to hear it again, and played so beautifully. Thank you for sharing this.

I love final fantasy songs, final fantasy 8 and 9 are my favorite games and they've got amazing music, and you just capture every feeling from it. I can see Squall in my head as you play this.

Amazingly well played. I got the sheet music on this from the Piano collections CD when I was young and I begged my piano teacher at the time that I wanted to play it. It was too difficult at the time, she said. But I persevered and after a long time of trial and error (I could not read sheets well), I was finally able to play it. Even though I don't have anything to play on today, whenever I get to play on a random piano this song still sticks with me. The way you play it reminds me of my childhood, even the expression while you play feels the same way I used to play (though to be fair, not as good ofc). I think I need to get myself an electric piano as soon as possible.. Thank you.
You have a very lovely playing of this piece =3 Liszt is beautiful but can be painful. Final Fantasy is one of the rare licence to have piano piece that are challenging some master classical pieces. Dancing Mad piano opera version or tracks from FF XIII are some of the most challenging for pianists

Final Fantasy VIII is still my favorite of the FF games. A lot of it is due to its amazing OST. My goodness this soundtrack is unbeatable in my eyes for the FF franchise
