Thank you for showing everyone how to carve a very small Santa. I liked your finish product. If I was to make one recommendation, it would be when your carving small figures, that after you make a carve, that you show everyone what it is you carved. Many times your thumb is in the way and it makes it very hard to follow along, even when rewinding the video. I know carving on a small figure makes it hard to get a clear view with the camera but showing the figure and rotating it would help greatly. Again, it was a great video on how to carve a very small Santa. Kudos.
@@JefroCarves I saw your Wood Carving a Frog With an Attitude!! - Part 1 today and watched it all the way through. Made me feel bad that you almost stopped making youtube videos after your very first video because of all of the negative feedback. Believe me when I say that the above comment that I made was not to be taken negatively although after watching the frog video I think you may have taken my suggestion the wrong way. It's videos like yours and youtube woodcarvers that have gotten me back into woodcarving after 35 year absence. I was very much interested in your tiny santa video and wanted to get it right. As you know, once you cut to much, you can't replace it, although thank heavens to the guy that invented super glue. I look forward to your next video and again kudos!
Nice video thanks for sharing it. I've just started carving using Flexcut knives which seem readily available in the UK. Could I ask you which Flexcut you used?
Nice video and just subscribed! That is a cool little Santa. After you apply the linseed oil do you let that dry for a time or can you go ahead and just paint over the oil. I guess the oil helps to seal the carving?
Thank you for subscribing. The BLO serves three purposes for me. It provides a skin tone and it allows the slightly watered paint to find those creases and crevasses that are hard to get to when painting without the BLO. And as you said, it helps to seal the wood.
Thanks again Jeff ! 🤗
