I found an upper and a lower SOLGW from different sources. It is the best fitting receiver set I have ever seen. The finish was excellent and the thermal fit was just what I wanted. Zero play or slop..Worth every penny..

@@hairydogstail I haven’t used a BCM barrel but am aware BCM upper/barrels are thermal fit.

@@itsmillartime6916 SOLGW upper receivers are thermal fit like BCM and JP upper receivers.. Mine was.. All barrels are the same size concerning there barrel extension O.D. , unless the barrel extension is a custom sized.. You will need to heat your SOLGW upper receiver to mount any barrel with a mil spec barrel extension.. Very easy to do with a MAP gas torch..

I waited 2 years before I found one of their stripped uppers. Got it for the right tolerance but it has a lot of play on my aero lower. Hopefully it’ll work on a solgw lower I’m waiting on .

Their tolerances are built around their lowers so it’s tight on my SOLGW but not on my other lowers. Struggle can be real finding a tight upper for other brands but I’m super impressed with fitment with SOLGW lower/upper combo.

Update. Got the lower today and still has a lot of play between the upper and lower. Pretty lame being the lower was over $300 without a trigger or stock

@@atox4957 which did you snag? That very odd fitment isn’t snug.

@@itsmillartime6916, I got the rebellious stripes lower with the vltor A5 system. It came with a threaded port for a tension screw which I put in so it takes the slop out but makes takedown next to impossible without something to punch the takedown pin out. Just disappointed since I waited so long to find the upper in stock. If I hadn’t have paid so much for it I’d just stick with the aero lower I wanted to replace
