Metal Gear Solid is my favorite game and I love this vr mission disc especial I can play with Frank Yeager awesome and there are really awesome levels

Best mode in the series, but hard to obtain this mode.
I really loved the Ninja missions! They are definitely short, but SO FUN! Just imagine to play MGS1 entirely with the Ninja... How amazing it will be!

@@ericsantana8337 Nah. The mods for MGS1 are pretty scarce and I've never seen a ninja skin before.
Back in the day on many mainstream gaming sites there was a rumor of being able to play as the ninja after beating the tuxedo playthrough.
@@GnosticHermes I don't recall this one specifically, but I heard that you could play as Liquid Snake or Genome Soldiers!
The era of secrets, fake glitches & rumors in gaming was very funny, and most mainstream media were not always checking or trying to debunk those rumors! I remember trying to unlock a bunch of crazy "secrets" characters or feature with friends (in games like Pokemon, Tekken, Crash Team Racing...) and most of the time, it was nothing but lies!
I remember buying this game simply for the fact i was able to play as Grey Fox. And wow it did not disappoint. I replayed those missions over and over. My fav mgs character hands down. Now if only they would make a Grey Fox backstory game leading up to shadow moses....but a man can dream
even Kojima admitted that he'd rather Gray Fox be the main in MGR but, ah well at least he's a skin in that game. Music doesn't fit his style though.

Have you ever heard of Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake? That game has Gray Fox fight Solid Snake in the minefield at Zanzibar, which is what is directly being referenced in MGS1. You can play that game in the MGS3 HD Edition main menu.

You missed the point of mgs 5 Frank jagger is big boss the first one that's how mgs 5 finishes he became bug boss through plastic surgery? That's why the ninja had snakes face its venom snakes face as he is the first big boss mgs 5 finishes with operation intrude there's a video wher snake kills venom big boss and the real one salutes him you should see it

My favorite part about playing as gray Fox is to parry bullets.
I have faith that someday, someone uses reverse engineering and makes a mod that allows you to play MGS as Cyborg Ninja. That would be freaking amazing !

I remember renting this game and beating all 300 VR missions I believe just so I could unlock and play Cyborg Ninja. I'm sure I have the save file somewhere in my basement on a memory card, but man this trailer hooked me in hard.
I really liked those detective style missions too, there was a lot of creativity in this. Today it would be released as it's own DLC.
Loved the little detail that once you unlocked Cyborg Ninja and got 100% the main menu showed his mask being opened. My biggest gripe with this game was that they only gave you 3 missions to play as the Ninja, though I probably played those missions more than any other one in the game. I really hated that using stealth used up your life bar though, that was old antiquated game design.
Always thought it was wild though that after creating 300 crazy cool missions in VR, they could only think up 3 to make for the Cyborg Ninja.. like what?
I can tell the emulator is playing the music slightly off though, the tone seems wrong.
While i certainly liked all metal gear games. Am i the only who wishes MGs stuck to these urban environments and tight corridor map design with many clear and sometimes inventive hiding spots over the broad open world wasteland designs of MGS4 and MGSV??
Facts that’s why the Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 are my favorites.

I dont mind urban open areas. But i wish they forced you to be in stealth when going into an area. Sorta like going inside a place with many hiding spots
I don't recall 2 large military outposts, forests, and giant deep sea platforms as "urban" but mgs 4 and 5 definitely took place in urban and open world landscapes. I think what you were looking for was compound environments. And even then 5 had a couple (albeit much smaller) close quarter facilities. But I totally agree, 2 was probably my favorite level design wise. Tanker and platform were legit as fuck.
I played these Ninja missions over and over. It was my favorite part of the game. Gray Fox is the coolest Ninja

Btw we've got raiden in metal gear rising and he's got gray fox skin. And yes, gray fox is the best cyborg ninja I've ever seen in entire franchise, not even raiden match gray fox style.
And from what I remember, ninja mode is hard to obtain since you must complete almost all mission and it's hard as hell for some missions.

@@RamenReignss yes I agreed. And somehow if gray fox was given his own game, it would be amazing, instead we've got raiden in rising. Not that I dislike raiden, but gray fox is just better ninja. That's why when I've play rising, I always using gray fox skin, and I remember this mode in VR missions disc.
But to bad, this mode just has 3 stages 😁

I see this the first time but having mgs 1 and all other parts played. So funny in mission 3 as cyborg killing snake and him making hus sying noise "uriahhhhhh"

It was just so so cool to play the ninja. I loved that mission, but hated the time limit. Huge grey fox fan.
on the last ninja mission you can use first person view right after the hallway and find snake, because the first soldier will go to the right, and from that view you can spot snake before they spot you
I played at the time, and I have great memories. 😄🎮

When this game receives a remake, it would be awesome if we could play Cyborg Ninja & Meryl campaign. Would also like a Liquid skin for snake since technically snake initially had long blond hair and changed his appearance to avoid being confused as Liquid.
I wish someone could make a mod hack for co-op player one solid snake and player two gray fox
Loved these missions back in the day but hated how the game needed to be like 60% complete before you could play the ninja.
They really need to make a mgs game on the fox engine where you play as null/Gray fox
It would be great, but remember we are talking about a company like Konami they fired Kojima and announced that they are dropping Fox Engine and will most probably start using Unreal Engine.
I agree i would love a game like that but wouldn't trust current Konami with a project like that.

@@mathematics557 Gray Fox appeared in Metal Gear (1987) and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (1990) as a regular soldier no different from Solid Snake. He was also just slightly older than Solid Snake. In Portable Ops he's aged up way too much, him and Snake are barely on the same age range. There's also the fact that in Metal Gear 2 Fox mentions being saved in Vietnam and Mozambique, which Portable Ops completely removes the Vietnam part of Fox's backstory. This also removes the fact that Fox is Half-Vietnamese, just making him German. It really hurt me seeing PO ruin Gray Fox's backstory, he's just mindless fan service in PO just to have a familiar face.

Its very nice to play as the Ninja. It's just a shame that is only one scenario. It certainly is a great 'mode' with a huge potential, poorly explored

There should have been an MGS4 integral with vr missions like this but with raiden but the gameplay would be a prototype of the one we'd see in mgr.
Why they never made gray fox playable as a main character in ANY of the metal gear series is beyond me

Hmmm.... not sure, its been a long time since i unlocked the ninja or looked at the reqs for doing so. About 20 years. This is nearly a 20 yo game and its still great.
do you have the "vr-disc" version? because if you do, you need to get 1st place on all time attack missions to unlock this mission

Gold Star I think you have to complete a certain percentage of all the standard VR missions. Could be wrong. It’s been a while.

Venom snake is the first big boss u kill because hes grey fox you can see a video wher the real big boss salutes him on python selkin thats why the cyborg has snakes face venom snake was commisioned to take part in operation intrude as a fake dopelganger of the real thing earning him the fox ranking
