Metal Gear (Japanese: メタルギア, Hepburn: Metaru Gia) is a series of action-adventure stealth video games created by Hideo Kojima and developed and published by Konami. The first game, Metal Gear, was released in 1987 for MSX home computers. The player often takes control of a special forces operative (usually Solid Snake or Big Boss), who is assigned the task of finding the titular superweapon "Metal Gear", a bipedal walking tank with the ability to launch nuclear weapons.
Several sequels have been released for multiple consoles, which have expanded the original game's plot, adding characters opposing and supporting Snake, while there have also been a few prequels exploring the origins of Metal Gear and recurring characters. The third game in the series, Metal Gear Solid for the PlayStation, marked the beginning of a whole new line of 3D for Metal Gear. As of September 2020, over 56.5 million copies of games in the franchise have been sold worldwide, with individual installments critically and commercially acclaimed and receiving several awards.
The series is credited for pioneering and popularizing stealth video games and "cinematic video games". Notable traits of the series include stealth mechanics, cinematic cutscenes, intricate storylines, offbeat and fourth wall humour, and exploration of cyberpunk, dystopian, political and philosophical themes, with references to Hollywood films to add flavor. The franchise has also been adapted into other media, such as comics, novels, and drama CDs. Wonderful how in the MGS universe they had technologies that are considered cutting edge in 2021 way back in the 70's.

This is one of those things about the metal gear series I could never explain to my friends, but now Im getting the gist of it in a more consistent form than with the in-game lore, I'm so glad you spent your time to put this together!

You could say that is a mismatch but if you look at the feats of death, like beating samael, a true demon capable of traveling in uncountable speeds, is quite crazy!

He doesn't really fall under the same umbrella. He was wore a "flex armor" suit which isn't really elaborated to be something unto an exoskeleton or cybernetics, as well as using drugs to amp himself: mgsdb.com/en/enc/6

Would it be possible for someone like raiden to exist in real life? Cuz if so would it be difficult for him or whoever that person is to live a normal life? And would they be able to join the military? or any special force?

@@alexrehak5564 The same reason Captain America or Batman can fight Cyborgs or amped humans: it's fiction. A "normal human" (a genetically modified human cloned from an irradiated super soldier) can be able to beat a cyborg in hand-to-hand if that's what's written.

Can we just stop and say something, metal gear Ray's or GRADS and Geckos are practically useless now. Let's be straight here if raidens older gen body had barely enough power to Fucking THROW A METAL GEAR RAY then what's stopping someone from gearing a team up like dead cell or the winds of destruction, but with similar gear to raiden. Unstoppable, but Ray's would be considered outdated compared to the final boss metal gear.
Plus the EXCELSUS is far more advanced than the REX and RAY and will probably be mass produced and replace them who knows maybe in the future the cyborgs and exoskeletons than will make raidens custom cyborg body and Sams ExoSuit look primitive
