It definitely was. I miss AMS messing with evos and DSM’s. My buddy and I originally put it together around 2010. Never thought I would own it later on.
@@shaneomatic91 I actually own the AMS Talon. :) It's setup now is nothing world beating like it was, but owning a piece of DSM history is pretty cool. Any updates on your DSM though?
@@BasedEMT1776 oh shit nice! yeah I posted a video update on it a while back but currently the car has been updated to DSM linkV3, installed a IAT harness & speed density to get rid of the maf, swapped to a Borg Warner 300 series turbo and we fabbed up a down pipe and some intercooler piping to make it work. It’s running and driving just working out the tune. It’s by no means making power yet but at least it’s alive now. Oh and I slapped in my 1600’s and got rid of the old 880 injectors.
6/10/24 I own and drive a 1990 Eagle Talon Black Cherry Base model with only 18,500 original miles on it, front wheel drive, 5 speed, 2.0 engine that at 34+ years I just replaced all 4 rotors & Pads. Talons been pretty much a garage queen most it life, No rust in very nice shape, but because of the hot and cold weather over the years I am in need of a replacement headline as the material has separated from the foam. The 1990 Talon came in 3 models, mine is just a 2WD, no air conditioning, roll up windows, no fog light, no rear window wiper, lower body molding same color as upper and different, radio basic AM/FM, cassette deck, Interior Med gray , solid color seats. Purchased New in 1990 so one owner so far, Runs well just had tune upper for my Summer driving.
Thanks man. I appreciate the support. I gotta bleed the brakes then I’ll set it on the ground, fix a couple odds and ends and drive it around. Once it’s good I’ll send the ecu off to DSMlink to get the newest v3. I may upgrade the turbo as well soon.

I’ve always loved them and always wanted one. I Almost bought one years ago but it fell thru. I guess getting this one is the reason why. 1ga talons are my favorite DSM. 2gb GSX’s are super clean but 1g’s just have that weird, mean kinda look. Idk how to describe it.
