real men can admit when it’s okay to cry and this was it for me when this first played on my screen when I had first got the game on release day I was crying and just smiling
Despite being a KH newcomer,I am very much obsessed with this title screen opening, even until now. KH3 was my 1st KH game but despite that,I feel oddly..."connected" the characters that I see on the screen upon first seeing it. Not to mention, the orchestral rendition of "Don't Think Twice" absolutely BLEW ME AWAY when I first listened to it. Having played the older KH games, the opening just feels so much more special now. It's nice to look back at the iconic scenes throughout the series,in chronological order too. It''s crazy how KH3,despite its flaws, has so much charm and love put into it to the point where even newcomers like me can feel moved by it and enjoy it as much as others would
I love the subtlety of xehanort moving a piece coinciding with darkness growing, and Eraqus moves with light striking back until Sora the King piece is surrounded setting up the story of the game
Daaaamn. 1:41 and 3:09 are gorgeous musical compositions. That transition to the chorus sounds so amazing. Never heard a symphony go in that direction. That was some amazing music. Thank you for posting this!
Looking at the comments I see I wasn't the only one who teared up! Followed this series since I was in elementary school and now a senior college student. Seeing all of the moments like this made me feel quite emotional.
got to finally play kh3 this year, man, loved every second of it, from the opening to all the bonus content from remind, been waiting for 14 years for it
Ahhh, now I know why I watch this opening every time I play KH3. I played KH1 when I was 20. I turn 38 this year, and am finally playing KH3. 18 years. 18. In my heart I knew this and have loved these characters for decades, but did not put two and two together. Cool. I’ll have a brilliantly ugly cry tonight.
Absolutely came to this video just to hear everyone else express their love for this piece. I also let it run every time I turn the game on, and always will because it genuinely pumps me the fuck up.
Always will have goose bumps for parts of the orchestra. Cryin so hard when first time watching it in the kh3 PC. Just feels like "More adventures coming, along with more amazing Disney legacies." So much nostalgic and warmth playing kh series. Fking worth the money.
I can say with proud and joy that this game was a big part of my childhood and regardless of what happens in the future I’m truly grateful to have played it tears running down my face while typing this I lived a rough childhood and this is one of the few things in my life I can say I’m truly happy to have encountered
I have never played any kingdom hearts game but I watched mrtlexify’s video with this intro and his story about the person he knew who died before this game came out and before he even told the story I was crying just because of the song this may be the most emotional song I’ve ever heard when I have no previous emotional weight to this and I can only imagine how hard those who did have emotional attachment to this cried. Damn. Now I have to play all of these games. Just cause this song is that good.
When you see that iconic golden text all kinds of memories flow back from previous Kingdom Hearts games and you become overwhelmed with joy and sadness
I don't know where to post my reaction so I'm going to post here. During the middle of the opening, all my emotions just came like "bam". I'm still crying like a baby as I type this down as I let my game idle in the menu screen while dearly beloved play in the background. I never knew I needed this game until now. All the emotions and memories... I haven't even play the game yet and I already think Kingdom Hearts 3 is Infinity/10. Ah, I don't think I can play with teary eyes and wet lens. I'm freaking 25 and I'm still feeling the emotions from a game I grew up with. Resident Evil 2 Remake couldn't even make me this emotional. Kids these days who's all about FPS and online multiplayer, especially Fortnite, don't know what they're missing out on. Thank you, Squire Enix! Now that I finally calm down after 15 minutes of crying, it's time to play Kingdom Hearts 3.
I admire how the scenes from the past games are footage from the HD re-releases of the games and not remade with the new engine. If you've played and/or watched the previous games all the way through, it not only shows how far Sora and his friends have come but how far we've come experiencing the series, through the good times and the often frustrating times. XD And because I feel like it... 0:23 - 1:02: KH: Birth by Sleep 1:07 - 1:36: Kingdom Hearts 1:42 - 1:58: KH: Chain of Memories 2:04 - 2:26: KH: 358/2 Days 2:31 - 2:54: Kingdom Hearts II 2:54 - 3:08: KH: Coded 3:13 - 3:42: KH: Dream Drop Distance 3:42 - 3:53: KH: BBS 0.2: A Fragmentary Passage (Ending)
I only just started playing this series about a month ago and this opening still hit me pretty hard. I can't imagine how much this would hit me if i actually grew up playing these games.
Real Kingdom Hearts fans were speechless with tears running down thier face with thoughts of childhood nostalgia. I couldn't look away from the screen seeing this for the first time. What a journey. Now the Remind DLC. I love this series. It holds a very special place in my heart.
It has been... 5 YEARS... since KH3 was released... I finally got to play it... And that was *INCREDIBLE.* It sure has issues (some of them being pretty significant), but ultimately that didn't matter at all, because I was playing the game I wanted to so much... That I spent like 70 hours playing it during like 2 weeks, I guess? And I didn't even begin with the Re:Mind DLC?! Damn, this game has so much in it, and I'm freaking loving it❤
All the waiting paid off. ❤️ Tis weird feeling because you play them as kids in the first game and you see them growing in the next installments and bring closure to all those years.
I literally played just the third game (KH3) and still have the feeling of nostalgia watching this. What a incredible experience it was to play this game, I've never felt so happy playing a game before...
Kingdom Hearts 3 - Title screen opening makes me cry all the time and effect i put in into kingdom hearts and wait 13 years for this game brings tears to my eyes :[
When I first heard this song and saw the scene, I teared up. Even now, still listening to that orchestrated song and/or seeing that scene, still makes me tear up.
This opening scene really raises the bar higher than I already expected from the series. What a treat if you've been with the franchise all these years.
This is giving me the feels 😭❤️ every time I listen to this song it grows on to me.I feel like it’s became a classic like simple and clean and sanctuary 😍

Okay so listen, I know almost nothing about Kingdom Hearts and this was my first game other than the demo of Dream Drop Distance on 3DS, I know nothing about what’s going on but this seems like a beautiful story and I really like the music
Games really used to take us on an adventure huh Can't listen to this without reminiscing about my past with my friends, my family and those who I still have left.....
One think that always catch my attention is the very first scene of the flashbacks is the one when Xehanort hurts Eraqus, giving his scars in the face. Could be any scene, but they decide to put the very moment when their friendship was put in check (HA!), it shows what the plot of KH3 is spinning around. The friendship between Xehanort and Eraqus. It become even more poetic considering how this game ends. Well played, Square.
I've only just recently gotten into this series a few months ago, having played them all back to back. Currently on my way to wake Ven in KH3. I adore this series so much and am so glad to have been playing it. It's so, so, so amazing. Every bit as good as I had been hearing about for years.
Whether you liked KH3 or not, you can't deny that seeing this intro for the first time gave you a weird / emotional / epic / whatever feel of what this adventure would be.
I've never played Kingdom Hearts until this year, ngl, when this song played in the screen I was speechless, crying. No reason at all, I just cried. Now reading the comments, I know how this feels like: nostalgia. As I said before: I've never played Kingdom Hearts until now, but definitely I'm playing this saga from the very start. Reading the comments I saw that this fan community is one of the most beautiful ones I've ever seen, if not the most. I'd really love to become part of the fandom, so my journey begins now (VERY late tbh, but hey, never's too late). So, that being said (and thanks for reading this long as hell comment
From a person who's only played recoded and hasn't finished it:I know Kingdom hearts has good music but i did not know that they would go hard, fast, and raw immediately with the soundtrack. I barely knew what was going on and what went on but it looked cool as hell!
Oh man It took me so long to find this song!!!!!!! Can't believe I remembered it as the title screen movie this is the best Kingdom Hearts song ever it gets me soooo pumped!!!!!!!!! Won't find it at all searching its all the opening movie songs, not this one. so happy!!!!!!!!!
Love this so much brings a tear to my eye every time I listen. I have recently found out about the chess board pieces and who they represent so it makes it even sadder!
I have to say, those old scenes made me choke. What an adventure.
yeah bro many tears of joy
Cant believe i've been in that journey for 14 years

Getting hit back to back with the title screen opening and the actual game opening theme probably broke a lot of people emotionally.
My roommate made me laugh because he was like " how many times are we gonna see this chess game?!" Totally killed the mood lol
Tatzl Yeah it broke me, I started crying. But my friend was videotaping the whole thing without me knowing and he started laughing at my reaction lol.

That seems to be the case with a lot of the main songs in the series
They are both amazing, it's just that most of us over heard the original one
Instrumental version fit a lot at the start of journey, Utada Hikaru version fit a lot at the credit scene. So both is good in it's own way
yes indeed
Not gonna lie, i teared up watching this for the first time.
Same bro, i was like "KH3 finally here, unbelievable" i enjoyed crying
