I don’t buy the fact that Drake Bell becomes Mark Hamill, especially with Drake Bell giving a painfully mid performance compared to Mark Hamill giving a good performance with his long experience with voice acting
Two boys promised to stay by each other's side. Both utterly failed in their own way to keep that promise. One boy, desperate to stay equal to the world's defender, distanced himself from his friend in search of power. The resulting emptiness was filled with obsession and ambition enough for him to lose sight of his promise. "Becoming equal to the world's defender" was twisted into "becoming THE world-defender" as he came to mistake solitude for power. The other boy devoted so much attention to his job that he failed to notice the growing distance between himself and his friend, creating a shadow inside his heart that he only noticed moments before he was struck down. It was his pupil's light that gave him the chance to stick around long enough to reconnect one last time. Only at the end of his life, when there was no future left for him, could Xehanort be made to look back through his dark past and find that one bright moment when he actually conceded defeat for once.

As a white piece, instead, we see Eraqus putting Sora's piece. This means we might see a showdown between Sora and the foretellers? This is getting interesting

So, we all know that the next game will be something like 13 Lights Vs 7 Darknesses. But what if, at the end of KH4, the warriors of light form their own Organisation 13 to protect the worlds? Let's list who we've got, and to make it more fun, I'm gonna do what 358 days did and give each character a description and title: 1 - Travels worlds seeking adventure and excitement, King of Kingdom Hearts: Sora 2 - Fights for her beloved, inspires light into others, The Princess of Heart: Kairi 3 - Born of nothing and forges his own fate, The Key of Destiny: Roxas 4 - Controls the darkness, and gives everything for those he cares about, The Dark Knight of the Light: Riku 5 - Once controlled, now free to make her own choices, The Puppet who cut her strings: Xion 6 - Born from pure light, a past he does not remember, The Warrior Birthed by Sleep: Ventus 7 - Wields light and yields the darkness, seeks atonement, The Lingering Will: Terra 8 - Once nothing, now has purpose, wields chakrams born from flame, The Pyrokinetic Prince: Axel 9 - Travelled the darkness for a decade, teaches the future Keyblade generation, The Wayfinder: Aqua We are missing 4, and no, I'm not including Mickey because he doesn't have the time to be a part of the Organisation, but, remember that one cutscene where Xemnas tells Demyx, Luxord, Marluxia, and Larxene that they have an ancient Keyblade legacy? Well: 10 - Laid back, but deadly, wields a Keyblade born from water, The Water Dancer: Demyx 11 - A Keyblade that manipulates time and gambles every battle, The Wager of Victory: Luxord 12 - Deadly skills hidden by roses, a Keyblade and scythe in hand, The Rose of Terror: Marluxia 13 - A shocking Keyblade and savage temper, The Embodiment of Electricity: Larxene Well would you look at that, 13 warriors, I really hope this is the direction they go in, I don't Square to do something stupid and give Namine or Isa a Keyblade, I'd like another Prequel game exploring Demyx and Luxords origins. But that's my theory.
@@rafiaalikhan4346 Bottom of the comment: "something stupid and give Namine or Isa a Keyblade", I didn't make Namine a part of this "new organisation" because at that point it would feel like you NEED a Keyblade to be an important character. Besides, looking back, I realised this wasn't as good of an idea as I thought.
I've always loved the way Days gave each member a description and a title and I think you captured that really well. Personal favorite is what you did with Ventus. "A Warrior Birthed By Sleep" is genius given hindsight.
This chess game seems like the kind of thing Abridged series Kaiba would create so he could "Screw the rules" Followed by real and abridged Atem and Yugi "Truly Screwing the rules" to beat Kaiba everytime.
3:10 “C’mon. That’s not fair. I know I had you.” Says the man that travels through time and literally cheated his way to his death just to get a mythical sword. What a wack game of chess.
If Dark Road were to turn into a console Remake game, or as a feature length movie, then I can imagine Benjamin Diskin and Drake Bell being the main lead roles and knock it out of the park with their on voice dynamic friendship like showing off Young Xehanort's caring side and Young Eraqus's fun, carefree side.
Anyone else notice when he puts the 7 new pieces on the board the gold symbols on the top change from organisation members symbols to ones that are similar to the master of masters apprentice masks?
I didn't realize that Young Eraqus was voiced by Drake Bell. Came after watching the Quiet on Set documentary just to see what else I may or may not remember he was in
Just in case you still don't know, it's called Lost Masters. It's the last 50 seconds of the track, for some reason they put two different tracks in one
well in the end by 6:00 minutes you can see the chess piecer right? 7 wich is 5 representing the 5 union leaders on X. unicorn, leopard, snake, bear and fox.... so the other 2 should be master and luxu right?
Right. But the more and more I look at it. Is the fox(Ava) on the far, far right on the bottom? In front of the Leopard(Gula)? Right to left: ACED, IRA, LUXU(?), Master of Masters, INVI, GULA, & Ava(????????) can’t make out if it’s a fox. I believe it’s intentional.. Because she’s a SLY FOX.
Or he just starts by puting one piece because he can't put all the pieces at the same ... There is absolutely NO WAY to know if it's just Sora or more right now.
Its a really nice moment seeing these cutscenes, but its kind of weird when you think about it. If this is in the past (i still think this is the afterlife), they basically played the whole KH story. Not once did Xehanort found strange that everything was going according to the game he played against Eraqus?
Eraqus: I heard about this new game. Me (Ten Years Ago): Ah, I see what you did there Nomura-san. Well played Me (Today): Ah, fuck you Tetsuya Nomura!!
I think Xehanort thought his existence meant nothing despite him knowing his destiny was to (try) and acquire the x blade and open kingdom hearts at the time, like he was following along with the path before him, but didn't feel it in him. Somehow I feel like he knew he was a pawn in destinies plan That's why after it all ended, he was finally able to let go and be with his friend Eraqus and be himself again. Deep down from those memories of him playing chess with Eraqus, he really was a good person. He knew more than he was letting on and went with it, but that doesn't mean it didn't hurt him from all the pain he caused others just following their heart. He probably knew he was hurting but still thought it was the right thing to do in his mind and that's probably just what the prophecy was expecting. Maybe that's why I wanna cosplay young Xehanort I totally get him He knew he was apart of the plan at some point, but realized it was too late and had to carry through it anyways
Why is xigbar still norted in the end?? Maybe the yellow eyes and pointed ears are actually a trait of luxu somehow? He was tasked with passing that key blade down maybe he changes vessels or at least his influence is connected to the gazing eye? So many questions!!!
Knowing that Eraqus is Brain's grandson really changes the conversation. There's a good chance he did know all of those things from his grandfather and was feigning ignorance of it.
ok we know union X is canon and everything , so. Who here is going to get into Dark Road and explain it to us? that game centers on Eraqus, xehanort and the other students
@DVJFan He met Ansem twice. The first time Ansem simply helped him escape the islands, as mentioned in one of KH3's reports. It was obviously the second time, when he was a bit older, that he was sent off on his little time trip.
Or Young Xehanort simply preferred to wield the Keyblade he was destined to hold in his future. Xehanort leaves islands with Ansem’s help => Xehanort trains as a Keyblade wielder alongside Eraqus => Xehanort wanders in search of further power=> Xehanort meets Ansem again and does the whole time travel bit => Xehanort gets to wield his future self’s Keyblade => Xehanort returns to the time he left and forgets the future => Xehanort spends the next decades obsessing over Kingdom Hearts and the X-blade. I’m not seeing any problem at all with this timeline.
@DVJFan "Where it started" could easily mean specifically the time travel bit. The "world that is too small" could easily be referring to not just Destiny Islands, but the greater World in which he sought power. And one should note that he said to Sora "At this time, I STILL had no idea that I was talking to myself". "STILL" being the keyword to notice the implications of. It's obvious now with the scenes shown in this very video that the DDD flashback took place AFTER he first left, not DURING as we all assumed. By "outside world" as he mentioned as Sora fell into sleep, he was no longer just referring to the World outside the Destiny Islands, but the New World beyond the Keyblade War his present self was seeking. Yes, Xehanort obviously couldn't use the Keyblade before he first left the islands... And? How does that "put a dent" in the notion that he gained that power AFTER that? Oh right, because of the notion that he time-traveled before he left the islands, which has now been firmly indicated to be a false notion. In any case, if you can't accept the obvious clarification that the DDD flashback was a SECOND meeting with Ansem, not the first, that's your problem. But please, feel free to call me an idiot again. It gives SO much more weight to your words.
Just in case you still don't know, it's called Lost Masters. It's the last 50 seconds of the track, for some reason they put two different tracks in one
I really hope that if you buy this 700 dollar chess board it comes with a rule book that includes the 7 chess piece summon and people really get to feel like they're also xehanort.
I think the chess game pieces are simply used for a clever narrative of the story, what events are about to unfold instead of a significance of the story. The "New game" hinted at the very end will be our next game in the series, possibly another long bridge to Kh4. The pieces signify the foretellers and the rest of the epilogue. This is just my theory.
Whenever I see how RWBY's writing has developed, I always come back to these scenes. The chess match between Eraqus and Xenahort was written by a creator who knows how to write with symbolism, while the creators of RWBY have no idea what they are doing.
Edbert Agathon It’s possible. I mean 5:59 shows the Foretellers and two other pieces which I believe are Luxu and the Master of Masters. It pretty much tells us that they are the 7 darknesses. As for the 13 lights, our only clue is the Kingdom Hearts 3 boxart.
So let me get this straight, DRAKE: BELL: voiced young eraqus in kh3? The guy who played drake parker on drake and josh, voiced young eraqus in the game. Mind, freakin, blown right now. No kidding.
Anyone notices that the last cutscene at 5:30 shows them at Scala Ad Caelum, while before that it's only a white background? Wonder what that means, to be honest. Any ideas?
With the controversy surrounding Drake Bell (the voice of young Eraqus), do you think they might redub this scene with Eraqus having a different voice actor. I’m only saying that mainly because of that one scene in one of the episodes of Gravity Falls.

Let's list who we've got, and to make it more fun, I'm gonna do what 358 days did and give each character a description and title:
1 - Travels worlds seeking adventure and excitement, King of Kingdom Hearts: Sora
2 - Fights for her beloved, inspires light into others, The Princess of Heart: Kairi
3 - Born of nothing and forges his own fate, The Key of Destiny: Roxas
4 - Controls the darkness, and gives everything for those he cares about, The Dark Knight of the Light: Riku
5 - Once controlled, now free to make her own choices, The Puppet who cut her strings: Xion
6 - Born from pure light, a past he does not remember, The Warrior Birthed by Sleep: Ventus
7 - Wields light and yields the darkness, seeks atonement, The Lingering Will: Terra
8 - Once nothing, now has purpose, wields chakrams born from flame, The Pyrokinetic Prince: Axel
9 - Travelled the darkness for a decade, teaches the future Keyblade generation, The Wayfinder: Aqua
We are missing 4, and no, I'm not including Mickey because he doesn't have the time to be a part of the Organisation, but, remember that one cutscene where Xemnas tells Demyx, Luxord, Marluxia, and Larxene that they have an ancient Keyblade legacy? Well:
10 - Laid back, but deadly, wields a Keyblade born from water, The Water Dancer: Demyx
11 - A Keyblade that manipulates time and gambles every battle, The Wager of Victory: Luxord
12 - Deadly skills hidden by roses, a Keyblade and scythe in hand, The Rose of Terror: Marluxia
13 - A shocking Keyblade and savage temper, The Embodiment of Electricity: Larxene
Well would you look at that, 13 warriors, I really hope this is the direction they go in, I don't Square to do something stupid and give Namine or Isa a Keyblade, I'd like another Prequel game exploring Demyx and Luxords origins. But that's my theory.
That's a good theory
I'm a year late but you forgot Naminé
@@rafiaalikhan4346 Bottom of the comment: "something stupid and give Namine or Isa a Keyblade", I didn't make Namine a part of this "new organisation" because at that point it would feel like you NEED a Keyblade to be an important character. Besides, looking back, I realised this wasn't as good of an idea as I thought.
Nomura:
"Let´s see more comments to put in the new game"
I've always loved the way Days gave each member a description and a title and I think you captured that really well. Personal favorite is what you did with Ventus.
"A Warrior Birthed By Sleep" is genius given hindsight.
OMG Their friendship is adorable! Makes me kinda sad though, how they drifted so far apart.
This chess game seems like the kind of thing Abridged series Kaiba would create so he could "Screw the rules"
Followed by real and abridged Atem and Yugi "Truly Screwing the rules" to beat Kaiba everytime.
In this case Eraqus says "screw rules i have light"
"So you know the "Lost Masters" ?
Theyre the ones who started the Keyblade War. Or theyre for whom the war started."
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
The Master of Masters.
2:10 In the eyes of Eraqus I can totally see Sora and in the eyes of Xehanort at 2:14 I can see Riku
Yeah, especially Eraqus. The way he was so earnest in his expressions and even his voice was a lot like Sora's earnestness and the way he speaks.
I just realized today that Drake Bell played the English voice of Eraqus when he was younger
3:10 “C’mon. That’s not fair. I know I had you.”
Says the man that travels through time and literally cheated his way to his death just to get a mythical sword. What a wack game of chess.
It’s crazy drake bell from drake and Josh plays young eraqus here in this scene
If Dark Road were to turn into a console Remake game, or as a feature length movie, then I can imagine Benjamin Diskin and Drake Bell being the main lead roles and knock it out of the park with their on voice dynamic friendship like showing off Young Xehanort's caring side and Young Eraqus's fun, carefree side.
Anyone else notice when he puts the 7 new pieces on the board the gold symbols on the top change from organisation members symbols to ones that are similar to the master of masters apprentice masks?
I just learned that young Eraqus is voiced by Drake Bell from Drake & Josh. Now you know and can never unhear it...
I didn't realize that Young Eraqus was voiced by Drake Bell. Came after watching the Quiet on Set documentary just to see what else I may or may not remember he was in
POV: you are a spider on my table
6:14
0:27 they’re talking about their master Odin.
You know what? I would buy a spinoff about Xehanort and Eraqus on their early days. I imagine it having a gameplay mechanic like DDD.
Well you got your wish
*monkey's paw curls*
A game is no fun if you know what it is going. I believe this is a main staple and motivation behind the mind of Kingdom Hearts.
song name at 5:23?
Just in case you still don't know, it's called Lost Masters. It's the last 50 seconds of the track, for some reason they put two different tracks in one
I want that chess
Me too
They actually made a chess piece set after this and It’s expensive and I can’t get it and I’m disappointed
Can’t believe Drake Parker just beat Joseph Joestar in a game of chess.
What did you expect from Spider-Man?
Nigel uno?
well in the end by 6:00 minutes you can see the chess piecer right? 7 wich is 5 representing the 5 union leaders on X. unicorn, leopard, snake, bear and fox.... so the other 2 should be master and luxu right?
Right.
But the more and more I look at it. Is the fox(Ava) on the far, far right on the bottom? In front of the Leopard(Gula)?
Right to left: ACED, IRA, LUXU(?), Master of Masters, INVI, GULA, & Ava(????????) can’t make out if it’s a fox.
I believe it’s intentional.. Because she’s a
SLY FOX.
@@TheInfluuence suppose... Avas Reincarnation?
Or Form?
Like Luxu to Xigbar?
@@TheInfluuence "...I guess Ava didn't make it after all." "And is that why you decided to exclude her?"
Lmao, imagine that the whole Keyblade War thing started just because Xehanort lost a chess match
The original 7 apprentices against 1 light?
Like... Sora?
Even Ava?
we don't know if there's just 1 light tho cause it cuts
Or could it be... Ava is Sora’s mother?
@@tunderdiamant8651 The fact it cuts/ends there proves it's just Sora.
Or he just starts by puting one piece because he can't put all the pieces at the same ... There is absolutely NO WAY to know if it's just Sora or more right now.
DDRhappiness17 the crown is always Sora
Its a really nice moment seeing these cutscenes, but its kind of weird when you think about it. If this is in the past (i still think this is the afterlife), they basically played the whole KH story. Not once did Xehanort found strange that everything was going according to the game he played against Eraqus?
You remember a single chess game you played at 17 when you're as old as Xehanort.
Xehanort and Eraqus are Nomura and Tai Yasue confirmed 😂
my half self looks at them as hotties while my other half ships them. help me
I can’t not see drake bell he plays young master so good
Eraqus: I heard about this new game.
Me (Ten Years Ago): Ah, I see what you did there Nomura-san. Well played
Me (Today): Ah, fuck you Tetsuya Nomura!!
Why are they so adorable together???
THE GUY FROM DRAKE Y JOSH NO LO PUEDO CREEEEEEEEEEEEER4
Is it bad I just realized that’s drake bell LOL
Nah I just learned going through the comments-
A former Venom and a former Spider-Man duking it out over chess.
I'm here because I just found out Drake Bell played Eraqus and I'll never unhear it
Lmao for the longest time I never knew Drake Bell voice Eraqus
Hahaha I sort of love it when Xehanort becomes a total dork when Eraqus has a trick up his sleeve.
2:55-3:09 thats what we in the industry call a bitch move
Kh3 spin off of young xehanorts story!
Welp, time to use chain cards again.
spiderman ad venom playing chess
(no joking their actors are of Ultimate and Spectacular spiderman look it up)
I think Xehanort thought his existence meant nothing despite him knowing his destiny was to (try) and acquire the x blade and open kingdom hearts at the time, like he was following along with the path before him, but didn't feel it in him.
Somehow I feel like he knew he was a pawn in destinies plan
That's why after it all ended, he was finally able to let go and be with his friend Eraqus and be himself again.
Maybe that's why I wanna cosplay young Xehanort
I totally get him
He knew he was apart of the plan at some point, but realized it was too late and had to carry through it anyways
I would love it if someone actually made a chess game like this with its own unique rules, like they did with the 3D chess from Star Trek.
The chess are really beautiful
Why is xigbar still norted in the end?? Maybe the yellow eyes and pointed ears are actually a trait of luxu somehow? He was tasked with passing that key blade down maybe he changes vessels or at least his influence is connected to the gazing eye? So many questions!!!
eraqus used soul charge to bring back his pieces
Knowing that Eraqus is Brain's grandson really changes the conversation. There's a good chance he did know all of those things from his grandfather and was feigning ignorance of it.
ok we know union X is canon and everything , so. Who here is going to get into Dark Road and explain it to us?
that game centers on Eraqus, xehanort and the other students
They didn’t get Josh as Young Xehanort but they did get the guy who gives Josh his game sphere, so it’s close enough
Didn't know young eraqus was voiced by Drake Bell
I don't get how xehanort ended up on the destiny islands years after this, he was complaining in a cut scene it was too small as if he couldn't leave
He left the islands, trained here, then visited the islands again to meet Ansem in search of power.

Anyone know the name of the theme during the last scene ?
Just in case you still don't know, it's called Lost Masters. It's the last 50 seconds of the track, for some reason they put two different tracks in one
So, that must be the foreshadowing events of "Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road" in the flashback scenes of "Kingdom Hearts 3"?
I really hope that if you buy this 700 dollar chess board it comes with a rule book that includes the 7 chess piece summon and people really get to feel like they're also xehanort.
Eraqus: "A game isn't fun if you know where it's going!"
Xehanort: "A GAME ALSO ISNT FUN IF YOU CHEAT, BUT OKAY, SURE"
I think the chess game pieces are simply used for a clever narrative of the story, what events are about to unfold instead of a significance of the story. The "New game" hinted at the very end will be our next game in the series, possibly another long bridge to Kh4. The pieces signify the foretellers and the rest of the epilogue. This is just my theory.
Whenever I see how RWBY's writing has developed, I always come back to these scenes.
The chess match between Eraqus and Xenahort was written by a creator who knows how to write with symbolism, while the creators of RWBY have no idea what they are doing.
Woke ruined RWBY
@@ilhamardanta4737what are you talking about.
7 darkness and 13 light in the KH4???
Edbert Agathon It’s possible. I mean 5:59 shows the Foretellers and two other pieces which I believe are Luxu and the Master of Masters. It pretty much tells us that they are the 7 darknesses. As for the 13 lights, our only clue is the Kingdom Hearts 3 boxart.
Porbably 7 darkness and just 1 light, meaning Sora vs the five Foretellers + Luxu + the Master of Masters.
I hope it's not against the foretellers except the darkness and luxu
You I just realized that Xehanort has white hair & Eraqus has black hair i love how a black boy and a white boy are best friends
While xehanort has dark skin tone tone and eraqus paler.
weird how xehanort looks younger from when he left destiny islands.
Because Nomura makes it up as he goes, no surprise
@@lokekennee8850 I think it just the graphisms that makes him look younger ^^ Nomura obviousely knows he left Destiny Island before being here -_-'

So let me get this straight, DRAKE: BELL: voiced young eraqus in kh3? The guy who played drake parker on drake and josh, voiced young eraqus in the game. Mind, freakin, blown right now. No kidding.
And Ben Diskin once guest starred in his show if you can find him ;)

Benjamin Diskin aka Young Xehanort once guest starred in Drake & Josh
5:25 and that “new” game is KH4
Anyone notices that the last cutscene at 5:30 shows them at Scala Ad Caelum, while before that it's only a white background? Wonder what that means, to be honest. Any ideas?
The last cutscene was pre rendered so it could show more of the area they are in.

With the controversy surrounding Drake Bell (the voice of young Eraqus), do you think they might redub this scene with Eraqus having a different voice actor. I’m only saying that mainly because of that one scene in one of the episodes of Gravity Falls.
I don't. Just like they won't redub Axel's lines. What happened with Gravity Falls?

My assumption is that Eraqus and Xenahort are representative (or literally are) the forces of light and darkness that we learn about in UX. They are doomed to fight forever and now have turned it into a game.
