I didn’t even grow up with Kingdom Hearts, my mom introduced me to the series when I was eleven, yet this game still feels so important to me. I’m glad I get to grow up with the new saga.

Watching this two years later, I was both a Skrillex fan and a Kingdom Hearts fan, and when I heard Skrillex was also a fan of KH, I always had in the back of my mind, "Man, wouldn't it be cool if Skrillex did something for Kingdom Hearts?"
...and then Skrillex did something for Kingdom Hearts and I nearly passed out from the hype.
I didn't expect skrillex of all people to help make a song for a video game like kingdom hearts, this is really good!
I was so confused when I was first watching the in game video and when the realization kicked in as the drop started that it would actually be an edm song, it was just so crazy but fit so well, had honestly never thought of that type of song.
Skrillex is a big fan of the KH series.
Sonny has mentioned his love for this franchise before and talked about the inspiration the previous ost's gave him

Hikaru Utada is the literal "Heart and Soul" of Kingdom Hearts. As long as they keep making the series...I hope they keep paying her to make songs for them. It would NEVER be the same without her.

Even Face My Fears started as Hikaru wanting to work with Skrillex to remix Don't Think Twice (Chikai for JP). In the process, they made an entirely new song, and Face My Fears was born

I'm glad of that too. Not simply because it's Japanese but because the notes seem to have more emphasis on them, especially the higher notes. It's a slight difference and I like both versions.

BASSstarlet honestly any of her albums are good! She has a best of singles album which is an awesome listen, and I really like her two newest albums Hatsukoi and Fantome! If you have Netflix her Laughter in the Dark tour was recently added in the US, i was lucky enough to see it live, it was an amazing concert!

Try being 13 when the first one came out, 18ish when the second did...waited 13 years til this one came out (various moving, jobs and 2 kids later, besides all the spin offs that added to the KH lore). It's been a long journey.

I don't even play kingdom hearts but I found myself enthralled into the music video.. I really need to get into the KH franchise...
It really is a journey and it's so good, but don't fall into the mindset that a lot of others have and assume that just because a game doesn't have a number it isn't important. Nomura inserted key story and plot threads into all of the kingdom hearts games. And while that might lower the barrier for entry for some, it leads to you bonding more with characters and caring for their fate.

Eh not sure if it’s really worth your time story wise and sanity. If you like cool game play then yeah try it out but if you’re trying to figure out the cluster fuck of story then u might be a little ahead of yourself... take it from someone whose literally bought every available (US) game on every console since 2002 (that’s now 17 yrs) , has watched countless hrs of videos explaining the lore, despite already playing every game at least twice in some way shape or form, and is basically Square Enix’s bitch at this point. I’ve already gone too far so there’s basically no point of return for me but maybe there’s hope for you not go down the rabbit hole that’s the kingdom hearts franchise. I mean they got me by the balls but I’m at least mildly comfortable with that and have basically accepted that I got 15 years coming with this franchise. Sooooooo if ur cool with dipping ur toe into this mess then at least you’ve been warned. But hey at least it’s fun to bash the shit outta bad dudes/things

@@adrianrodriguez-zb3tp The gameplay is always worth it, but don't muddy the waters. The story really isn't that complicated. It's jsut full of retcons and rushed explanations that halfway make sense.
Your experience seems to differ, but everyone that I've talked to that's played every game has had no issue following the story.

Shit makes me bittersweet. I waited 14 years for this game to come out. I remember being 5 years old and playing kingdom hearts 2 for the first time. I was so entrapped and wrapped up in the visuals and the music. I remember I cried when I finished this game. It felt like the end of an era and the final nail in the coffin for my childhood. As if someone was telling me it's time to get moving. An almost religious experience. Sora taught me what it meant to be good, and be a hero. Roxas taught me to stand against unfair circumstances, and that sometimes it's necessary to go buck wild. I'll never forget this story, or this experience.

My ex went through this game and I don't remember much except bawling at the reunion of my favorite characters, Roxas, Xion, and Axel.
I just filed my taxes and I'm going to use that to purchase all the Kingdom Hearts games so I can re-live through the amazing experience of my childhood, my young adult years, and now to be a part of my new life years.

Thank you for this song. It saved my life. Was crying everyday, always convincing myself to leave an abusive relationship that gave me bruises and scars - physically and emotionally. Whenever I hear "face your fears" it always made me cry, I felt so helpless. But I did. I was afraid to be alone before but I had to face it. Thank you Skrillex, Utada, and to the power of music that changes people's lives.

While I've never been in a abusive relationship. I've seen many who have. My mom for instance is in one right now, while it isn't physically abusive, it's more of a verbal narcissistic relationship. I wish people I know and my own mother, can find the courage like you did so that they can escape their toxic relationships. Its feels wrong watching and knowing whats happening, and not being able to do anything about it because I'm not a factor with helping my mom and friends choose who they can and can't love. I shouldn't and can't decide who loves who, but I can't stand on the sidelines and let this stuff keep happening. I feel unsure exactly what I can do as an observer.
