- Creamy Corn Dip Cob Loaf is a retro party favourite! A rich creamy corn dip is spooned into a hollowed out, lightly toasted cob bread loaf. The bread pieces are used for dipping, then the bread bowl itself is eaten - it’s the ultimate in self-cleaning party food! No mess, no fuss. Just fun food to share with your friends - give it a go!

INGREDIENT LIST:

1 Large Cob Loaf (or similar crusty bread)
500g of Sour Cream (or soft cream cheese)
40g Packet of Dried French Onion Soup Mix
3 Spring Onions / Shallots (chopped)
250g Jar of Corn Relish
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
Optional: Extra Crackers or Vegetable Sticks (for dipping)
Preparation Time: About 10 minutes
Cooking Time: About 10 minutes
SERVES 8 - 10
All measurements and temperatures are in Australian Metric.

+missmellyful Leave the corn out and you'll have a french onion dip. Or you could find a recipe for creamy spinach dip for a cob loaf, those are so yummy
+missmellyful If you like spicy dips there is one called Mississippi sin dip that is cooked right in the bread bowl and it is so good! I found it on Pinterest.

+L Aponte As far as I know, Corn Relish is actually a traditional Southern recipe from the United States! If you can't find it at your local supermarket, there are many recipes online for various variations. Good luck and happy cooking :D

+GloriaNak Corn Relish is a sandwich condiment featuring corn, pickles, mustard etc. If you can't get it, some creamed corn would be lovely instead ;)

+darian roscoe Usually here in Tennessee corn relish is in the aisle with the pickles, but I have seen 'Reese's' brand corn relish in the specialty foods aisle. It's funny you asked about that substitute, I read 'corn cob' in the recipe title and I wanted whole kernel corn. I guess a cob loaf is an Australian loaf, or I have missed it in my area. I thought that was a boule loaf. It looks wonderful either way, with any filling!
