Love the 360 XL, The EVO that this UA-camr named Sam had turned me on to the round griddle, but the EVO was way more that I could reasonably afford. I was glad that the XL had just come out when I was looking, 22" 360 was way too small (stir-fry would go flying) and probably would have just lusted on the EVO. The XL works great and doesn't break the bank.
There is a smaller version of the Cuisinart Griddle that has half the cooking surface. I own this and absolutely love it. Love the surface as it seemed to be higher quality in comparison to other griddles. A couple changes I would like to see in the future: (1) have a magnetic strip for the spatulas as opposed to hooks. (2) have the locking casters in the front, it's a minor pain to to lock/unlock the wheels in the back vs the front. (3) I wish the base was a bit wider and/or had some storage to it other than the propane tank holder. The top is higher quality than the base. Overall, very happy with this unit especially in comparison to other griddles that I looked at/researched.
Totally agree. I bought some magnetic hooks on Amazon that work good to hang tools. Do wish the folding shelves were a little bigger, but appreciate them. My towel rolls tend to go all over the place on a windy day (just used a clip to solve that). The only real annoyance is the drip pan tends to easily slip out too easily when removing the grill cover.
LOVE love LOVE our Cuisinart 360 XL Griddle. You inspired us with the smaller version - stoked that we made the leap and opted for the XL. It’s been so much fun.
I got the xl and assembled it in my family room and intended to push it through the sliding glass door onto the deck. It wouldn't fit. I had to partially disassemble the reassemble it on the deck. Your 90 minute assembly time is ambitious.
Interesting, I own the little brother and enjoy it. I do like the XL but at this time I am gonna stay with the little brother. thank you for the demo, based on what you showed us I can see getting this in the future!
Very helpful video. We just put the XL together yesterday afternoon and went through the seasoning process. Looking forward to using it tonight for the first time. New subscriber ✋🏼 Thank you for your videos.
I got the 22 inch model last week and at first I thought why would you need bigger? Now I know that it’s so fun and easy to cook the whole meal on it, fine for 3-4 people but with guests I think I’ll have to cook 1 part of the meal inside. It’s like I’m going through culture shock in my own carport 👨🍳 it’s awesome .
With a 30" diameter as measured in this video, the cooking area is 706 sq. in. The big advantage here is that the griddle itself doesn't have a drain hole which takes up cooking space. It drains off into the drain ring, therefore you have just about the same cooking area of 36" rectangular griddle.
I can't wait to buy this!!! No more cooking inside lmao. I am just playing. But having the ability to make 10 burgers at a time ..or even pancakes/breakfast foods-it is seriously enticing!!! Next spring!!!❤
I was debating between the 360 and XL. At first I thought the smaller would work for me because I normally just cook for myself and an occasional guest. But after watching this, between the dual shelves, lid that acts as a small backsplash, the double real estate, and three burners to give you better heat zone control, I'm going for the XL. My grandkids don't come over often, but it would be nice to do burgers and dogs for all of them at once
I think you missed the most important thing. People who want to buy griddle knows the difference between griddle and grill. My real question is why pick this round and edgeless griddle over square griddle with edge/side wall? Like black stone and camp chef? Could you share your thoughts on this question?
I can see there being pros and cons to each. With walls obviously less of a risk that stuff falls off, but with the round top it’s easier to talk around your grill to get to food on different parts of the grill. Saves you from reaching over and getting grease splattered up on your arms - for example when you’re making smash burgers or frying bacon.
@@BBQandBottles I found one bout an hour away, just picked it up and assembled it, hardest part is getting the stickers off. I called cuisinart customer service and they advised me this size was an exclusive thru Walmart. Thanks for the reply.
A few months ago, we got the smaller one (display model) at Walmart for $100. 2 days ago, saw the XL there and said definitely getting one someday. For some reason, looked at Walmart.com today and found them on clearance for $274. Now the dilemma is sell the small one or keep both haha.
This is actually my favorite comment of the month. You could 100% put this in a built-in - you got me thinking and that would solve my frustration with the small side tables.
I just built my 360XL last night, and the center unit (the part with the burners) attaches to the base with 6 screws. I don't think it would be hard at all to incorporate those same 6 screws into a completely separate base (like as part of an outdoor kitchen). Great idea.
@@BBQandBottles This was my question as well. I would love to build it into an outdoor kitchen. Watching assembly instruction videos, it looks like the griddle body could be attached into a cabinet. I'm glad to hear you think it would be possible. It seems you would have to pull it forward enough, or provide access somehow to the drip tray.
I’m need some advice: I love the idea of this griddle, but I’m tossing around buying another Traeger Grill (Ironwood 650). I love smoked meats, but I love the convenience of this grill. Suggestions please.
If you already have a Traeger then I would definitely go for the griddle. Unless you have a huge family, why double up on Traegers, don’t you have enough capacity in your single Ironwood? Then you’ll get the added benefit of being able to sear on this griddle. It’s versatility really opens up a whole new world of possibilities.
BBQ and Bottles my original Traeger is 16 years old - it’s a BBQ07E. . I’ve nursed it back to health a few times, but I think it’s time to retire it. So many new features. I think I’m going with the Ironwood 885. It’s cheaper at Costco than the 650. Maybe Cuisinart will improve the smaller griddle, and I’ll get that later. Thank you for your videos!

I just can't fathom spending $4,000 on a griddle, especially when I'm an amateur cook at best. The fact that an Evo griddle can cost over 10x more than this griddle is crazy, and I guarantee an Evo is not 10x better than this Cuisinart 360 XL.
I am from the Middle East and I love this device for a while and I want to buy it, but I have an important question that I am trying to find an answer to. Unfortunately I did not receive any answer from the company. Customer service for them is very poor and no one is answered. The question is can I change the gas regulator installed on the device to another type compatible with what is used in my country? What is the strongest possible damage in case of incompatibility?
Spraying cold water on a steaming hot thin metal griddle surface like this will 100% warp your griddle surface(over time). I strongly advise you not to listen to the advice given in this video at the 3:15 mark. Otherwise, nice review. If your griddle is as thick as a cast iron stovetop pan, then no spraying water will not warp your pan. There are tons of reviews of warped cook surfaces on this Cusinart 360 and 360XL giving it only 1 or 2 stars and the reason being warped surface. Little do the owners know the surface is warped because they likely clean it with water or get the surface ripping hot for extended periods of time. Usually 550-600 degrees is about the max for these thing surface griddles. Anything more and they can't take it. Too thin. Leaving all 2/3 burners on high for extended periods with no food on the surface or pouring water on when ripping hot will warp them. It's just science.
I've found no evidence of such reviews and the thickness of the cold rolled steel and triangular support structure under the cooking surface prevents this. I've had a Blackstone grill for a decade and any minor deformation in the surface was there from manufacturing and was only even visible when using a scraper on the surface. There has been no additional deformation since purchase. My experience with this griddle is no different so far. Very impressed. Perhaps the deformation you're seeing is people who are expecting an absolutely flat surface. You won't get that on a cold rolled steel top.
Suggest only for light frying or saucing if directly on the XL...and you need a flat bottom skillet as the heat transfer isn't great. I tried to deep fry with a wok, got to temp, but couldn't maintain. A cast iron directly on flame works great, but obviously, the XL has no way for direct flame. Use a turkey fryer, or a grill/smoker that has a side burner.
I had actually been searching for the Evo flat top grill when I saw this video, how does it compare as I was shocked when you mentioned the price since its near-identical to the Evo except this has 3 independent burners as opposed to the Evo 2 burners and in Australia, the Evo costs $5,500 AUD, that's clearly a ginormous difference in price.

BBQ and Bottles It’s not leaking at the actual drip pan, it leaking just next to it when I pushed the grease off into the gray tray. I may have just pushed to much grease at once but it ended up running down my control from underneath.

Very late to the party but get the Blackstone, or Pit Boss, Camp Chef, whatever. This round design is terrible. The rectangular shape is just better. I use the raised edges all the time, which this lacks. Also, this dripping grease system looks horrible.

I want to pour out a chimney’s worth of white hot coals on top of the griddle and grill on top of that for the occasional times that I want to grill. Is this dumb? Why?

Do you think rodents could get to the cooking surface if the lid is on?
So wait, builds BBQ in front, then complains they can't get it down the narrow gap next to the house?
Why not pull it apart and build it in the back yard!?
It wasn’t a complaint. I was trying to highlight how big it was!!!
I'll stick with my black stone

Omg that’s cheap price
When you call your meal preparation as "a cook"....it makes me want to pull your teeth out
