That was cool, I actually felt like I was driving, nice to see those old tracks get utilized. Some years back a couple were hiking to the Tressel over a rugged pass and the smelled something and discovered a dead body, then they called the authorities. That's a warning to those that think this is an easy hike. Thanks ! You the goat.😉
Archie you should start in California and move eastern to the coast, visiting all the tracks you can ride on. It would be so awesome to see the countryside as you travel east!!
I have seen a lot of videos and film clips from Goat Canyon Railway and it is sad to see how the route has been deteriorating through the years. We cannot fight nature, but a lot of the historical marks has been destroyed by humans, like the parked railway wagons and the burning of one of the tunnels. Even though it is no longer possible to ride the whole track, I think the route should be preserved and maintained as a national landmark. Thanks for another good video 🙂
Love your videos. Beautiful landscape. The tunnels were amazing; I would look carefully for resting rattlesnakes if walking through one. The crash with your wife was indeed scary. It is good you don't travel alone.
Well done for getting through there, it was a great journey and much appreciated. It is no surprise that it was called, "the impossible railroad", it certainly is impossible now. It would be too expensive to repair and the same rockfall problems would exist.
I really like the big 1440p60 so nice looks so good. thanks - love the surroundings and dessert, and all the stones, so relaxing and the sound :) I se it on my 27" monitor.
It always amazed me How did those big boulders get there? Like Flintstone boulders. You guys were way out there. Middle of Nowhere. Such dramatic landscape. I wish I knew what altitudes you were at along the tracks. It looks like those quakes recently did more damage. It is something else out there. Thanks for sharing.
At the section you started at a silent movie had been made in 1928 I believe. Something about some girl that dressed up like a boy trying to escape a guy that tried to assault her. There was water in that water tower and everything.
after watching this video and you said the tracks looked polished i was thinking that it might be Maintenace of way (mow) work from the railroad company for possible reuse of the tracks in the future.
(Full throttle)60 kmh a 65 kmh.
A real shame that some guys with too much time and some earth moving equipment can't make it out there to help clear some of that blockage. Wonder if anyone has made the trek from the other side of the bridge?
I want to clarify that there is an error in the year in which it derailed due to a stone, it was December 25, 2023 !!!🤦♂️
We thought you were a time traveler
For a moment I thought the same thing hahahaha
Te pregunto ¿de casualidad sos de Argentina? Un saludo!
Si.

And here it is difficult to walk, one because of the heat and another because of the rattlesnakes.
Thanks for the ride, Archie
Glad you enjoyed it

Me gustan tus viajes y me gusta tu tonada Argentina!❤
Totally agree with you. This line should be preserved with the tracks as long as possible.

Thank you for the nice Video - Greetings from Saxony!
Thanks!
What an awesome hobby, I just love it ❤❤❤
You guys have the best cart and video's. Some other railers in a model T rail moved that rock off tracks with a jack.
Love your videos. Beautiful landscape. The tunnels were amazing; I would look carefully for resting rattlesnakes if walking through one. The crash with your wife was indeed scary. It is good you don't travel alone.
Great ride again thank you for this adventure ride ;-)
Muy Bueno Like

You wold need a D9 cat to clean all that up. Another fantastic ride and spactacular view. Thank you!

I’ll be out ther when it cools down ,,,way too hot!
Very Hot !!!! Now!!!
@@archiemoreno look at Ione California there's some track out there that may be doable

👍👍👍👍👍
Do you plan on doing a 360 view video in the future because I think that would be so cool on one of the rides you go on honesty. 😮
I have a recorded 360 tour that is on my video playlist
This thing would be perfect with a bimini top
😊😮🎉🎉😮
What were the people doing where those flags are?
Those tunnels are in great shape! Maybe they want to use the line again some day.
I see it's getting harder and harder to get to Goat Canyon.
At the section you started at a silent movie had been made in 1928 I believe. Something about some girl that dressed up like a boy trying to escape a guy that tried to assault her. There was water in that water tower and everything.
That’s a shame that it can’t be used for any kind of rail transport. It’s like a waste. Love the video!
Its in my bucket list to do this....But there r no abandoned tracks around me....All tracks are in use....
Hola! You can start bussines to drive people up there and give them a nice ride!
after watching this video and you said the tracks looked polished i was thinking that it might be Maintenace of way (mow) work from the railroad company for possible reuse of the tracks in the future.
What time of year did you do this ride?
2/6/2024
@@archiemoreno Great video except for the crash!!
If I lived in Cali I would set up volunteers to move the rocks and soil so that everyone could ride to the bridge.
Last video I saw of someone riding these rails there was a rock slide that was piled up on part of the track.
any night runs???
2023?
2 de julio 2024
Yes
A qué velocidad sueles ir?
(Full throttle)60 kmh a 65 kmh. También depende de la vias. Tambicorro el riego de romperme todo ,jajajajaj
I also want to experience this. Unfortunately I can’t
If you weld the flanch to the inside tread, all 4 flanches stop rattling. Quieter ride of the Zorrito. 50 km/h is the speed, I guess.
😂😀😎💫💫💫💫💫💫💫👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🤳🤳
Archie, is there a video of the railcart and how you build it?
You guys have the best cart and video's but you need brakes, assuming you haven't installed any yet.
Sueño con un carrito de esos.
I found an error when you talked about a rock that derailed you. December 25th, 2024 hasn't got here yet. I do believe you meant December 25th , 2023.
uuu yes you are right, we have not yet reached December 2024 hahahahaha. Thanks, I will modify it now.

Is that railway still in operation?
You have done this end going up a few times . Why not do the other end coming down?
Maybe next time someone could put a small front end loader on the rail car and move the rocks out of the way.
Yea, that's worst part of line, rocks always falling and no one will do anything about it. It needs to be cleared and metal netting put down.
When did that derailment happened?
how fast are you going there
A real shame that some guys with too much time and some earth moving equipment can't make it out there to help clear some of that blockage. Wonder if anyone has made the trek from the other side of the bridge?
You went all that way and didn't walk the trestle? 🤔
Safety with helmet
Rail Away
we got de railed last weekend doing 15kmp i got throwing off its bad hey
Who owns that now Carrizo Gorge Railway has closed ?
That tunnel collapse was not natural that has all the earmarks of intentionality courtesy of the department of interior.
