Bro 9 string guitars are expensive for a reason
You have to accept that it'll just be loose and floppy, and that's just how it works best. Then you need a decent scale length, but more importantly good pickups and a goos rig/modeler
Putting the guitar's bass eq to 0 and cutting it more when mixing. Let the bass guitar handle the low end.
28 5/8" scale length, and Neural DSP or Kemper lol

Modern metal has broken my brain regular drop b just first hit as heavy anymore :(( my sweet spot I think is F# these days but MAN does this sound good!!!!

Q?? I have just purchased a 28"/26" multiscale 8 string, Wondering if i can correctly drop all the strings down one step and lose high E so i can tune double drop B???? If so, what strings should i use, or recommend I usually play with heavys/ I'm a rhythm guitarist??? use a pack of 11-80's and a 0.120 ontop? Cheers

There's a reason meshuggah stopped at 8 strings. This is interesting but it's too low and doesn't add much despite being "heavier"
I checked some 10 string videos, I do agree it just stops being heavier beyond 8 strings.

for this tunning at least 30 inches scale...this looks like 28 or 29...tunning this low on guitar...i dont know...that B string needs more tension, now it sounds realy loose compared to other strings...i thing 32 inches would be better...if it makes any sence to build guitar with medium bass scale... I know that dude from Black tongue tuned hus guitar to double dropA
Just play with 3 basses with standard 35 inch scale. Same thing.
