I'm 43, man, and I ride solo as well. I don't even go to lowrider events. Gangs gravitate around places like that. Dudes with egos at competition with one another. I just ride my 64 periodically. And if I see someone else that's into the samething I'm into, we may throw the ✌🏾🫡. And keep it pushing. I'm a father of 4 boys. And I raised them all to think the same.

It's family but usually street family is not blood family. I think about the blood brothers or even when I was a kid. And we first started our street chapter. And we never did mix our blood and then corona came and everybody was mixing blood so weird.
To be honest man it could have easily but when the dude approached me I didn’t know him and a lot of people do that to say hi or see the car so I was completely off guard! Went from blazing up enjoying the music and car clean and smelling nice to getting jumped lol was fun I’m older Now so it’s not like I’m going around fighting like I used to, only thing that still pisses me off is the dude that broke my camera honestly!
My son is eight years old and in the third grade I recently bought him a really cool alien pen at the book fair of his school the next day I pick him up from school and he starts crying saying somebody stole his pen from his class. I bought a new Corvette as a retirement present for myself. I worked hard and sacrificed to have something nice. It's a shame I can't take it out and leave it unattended in public without worrying about it getting vandalized by someone. I have insurance to pay for whatever happens but it's a shame society has gotten so dog eat dog and disrespectful.

Well said, lm 57 lived in San Pedro in the 70's, l had an appreciation for cars like Low Riders to Porches, loved the old 13 or 14 Crager 5 spokes that were popular back then.l drive a 72 Barracuda now, Big Thumbs Up on keeping this car culture alive and keeping it friendly and positive
I’m now a 74 years old white man grew up in Long Beach and drove a 48 Fleetline in 7th grade, I’ve had low riders since, owned show cars at 18 years old and still have a low rider pick up. Always had good experiences with people in general, never an issue with other low riders! Keep the faith spread the 💕

Man, I grew up dealing with that in the high desert in the late 90s. It’s like the nicer your ride the more jealous people can be,,especially being white in the Lowrider scene. When I was stationed in the Coast Guard on Terminal Island my 63 almost got jacked and I had to throw blows before I was able to get away. It’s crazy how less violent the Midwest is compared to California. Pease to you and your family.

Last lowrider show I went to was when the super show was held at the Pomona fairgrounds many many years ago and it turned into a huge brawl, peoples cars were damaged it was bad. Safest place to see nice lowriders grand national roadster show there's a variety of show cars hot rods, customs, vw's and lowriders all top notch.

I usually stay ready they just caught me on a off day solo after a video shoot was perfect timing for them not so great for me lol I got a couple scratches wasn’t a thing to me except when that one dude went in my car and grabbed me camera and broke it! Well said, lm 57 lived in San Pedro in the 70's, l had an appreciation for cars like Low Riders to Porches, loved the old 13 or 14 Crager 5 spokes that were popular back then.l drive a 72 Barracuda now, Big Thumbs Up on keeping this car culture alive and keeping it friendly and positive
I’m now a 74 years old white man grew up in Long Beach and drove a 48 Fleetline in 7th grade, I’ve had low riders since, owned show cars at 18 years old and still have a low rider pick up. Always had good experiences with people in general, never an issue with other low riders! Keep the faith spread the 💕

Man, I grew up dealing with that in the high desert in the late 90s. It’s like the nicer your ride the more jealous people can be,,especially being white in the Lowrider scene. When I was stationed in the Coast Guard on Terminal Island my 63 almost got jacked and I had to throw blows before I was able to get away. It’s crazy how less violent the Midwest is compared to California. Pease to you and your family.

Last lowrider show I went to was when the super show was held at the Pomona fairgrounds many many years ago and it turned into a huge brawl, peoples cars were damaged it was bad. Safest place to see nice lowriders grand national roadster show there's a variety of show cars hot rods, customs, vw's and lowriders all top notch.
