Never thought of doing assisted pistol squats with this.
Just got one of these today. I can barely do dips and I can do like 1 chin up and close grip pull-up. I’m gonna work my way up to doing 4 sets of each exercise

@@teamopenmid Thank you! I got my rings on amazon here: amzn.to/2WMoiBr And you can get any power tower on there too. The rings come with straps and you can also use them around tree branches or anything else you can find. On the power tower, they are great for dips, pushups, and even tucked/L-sit pullups. Rings take alot of getting used to because you have to control the swing- so if necessary, you can always find something to help weigh your power tower down more to make it more sturdy.
I recommend 6 neutral then 6 of standard or chin ups because you are doing two push exercises and only one pull

Typically around 3 times. It depends if you are combining it with another workout or not.
Hey solid video-the assisted pistols are an exercise I haven’t seen demonstrated on other power tower videos, nice one. Are these dip bars spaced pretty standard width? I know some are too wide...thanks
Thanks! I did alot of assisted ones before I got the pistol squat down freestanding. The dip bars are a good width for me, not too far or close.
Any chance you could measure that...I know it’s a long shot lol

I have a similar unit on my balcony, but a lot more sturdy - it doesn't move at all. I looked at getting one like this, but didn't like the way it wobbles and flexes so much. Especially 3:55 where you can see it sliding!
It is really light. It doesn't help that my floor is really slippery. But as long as you have fairly good control over your movements (which you should), then it is not a big problem. Whatever works really.

Best part was the hot girl coming out of the kitchen. Lol. Seriously I’m getting away from gym workouts to get into more body weight and dumbbell. My 50 year old body can’t take the heavy weights nearly as well as it used to. Seems like a floor mat would help with the slipping of that tower. Great vid. Getting lots of ideas on body weight training from your video

Yes you could. I usually use them for pushups and dips because it forces you to use more core muscles and you can do a wider range of motion with the exercises. The song is: Warriyo - Mortals

Seeing how much it slides when he does assisted pistol squats, I would not take chances to muscle ups... (unless you have a perfectly controlled and slow muscle up)

Has the tower ever tipped over when you are using the rings?
No, it hasn't. It will tip if you attempt bodyrows on them (unless directly under), but dips and pushups have been fine.

Im a beginner I have been trying to find people that do it locally to learn from them and progress at a faster pace but since I haven't found anyone yet I have to rely on videos and online and teaching myself is the only option.

My back feels great. I incorporate some of the "gironda pull". Glutes tight, arched back, shoulders stay into depression and retraction. Calisthenicmovement explain the arched upper back very well. Cheers.

Never thought my gums would be closed for months hahah. But I still been doing some home workouts with what I have. Still gaining so it's all good. my fat went up2% though. Since I'm more sedentary

So you get alittle more clearance especially with the belt. Weighted dips and pullups are just as good as going to the gym. Just keep adding plates for the progressive overload
I know you know this already but it's good for other people to see that's why I say these things..
