This is the most rock and roll thing I have ever seen.

His comments at the binging about that first organ I understand. Some years ago the church I played at expanded the hall and included a new modern worship space. I designed a high quality.it’S custom digital organ that I still consider one of the best of its kind. After having played that instrument for about a year, the manufacturer asked me to play for an open house at their shop, and they had set up a larger four manual instrument, albeit older technology. It never felt right. After the event another organist cam up to me and said “It looked like you were trying to get something out of it that wasn’t there”. So true. Cameron’s interest in having that personal relationship with an instrument makes so much sense.

I love that his organ has the sound of the air hitting the pipes and the absolute beauty of the soul of the organ

Carpenter is a genius savant. His whole persona is just geared toward meticulous detail and structure. I would imagine he is quite tough to get on with and know. I hope he will be around for a long time but we all know what can happen with exceptional people.

I was there for the debut in NYC at Lincoln Center almost 10 years ago. Still a follower. It’s interesting watching him continue to develop not afraid to stretch the boundaries, not afraid to make mistakes sometimes. You can’t explore if you don’t go in the “wrong” direction sometimes.
I just wish he’d stop smoking. I understand the role nicotine plays in an overactive mind, but it will shorten his time with us. That would only magnify the eventual loss only because it was avoidable.

The pipe organ is an immensely complicated instrument. I get where he's coming from. Even the building plays a part in its sound.
