Very good, informative and straith to the point explanation... Well done ! My biggest gripe with this game's HDR is that the exposure you mentioned. Especially the lenses of the robots and some in-door story missions have blinding lights. And because the auto exposure is slow and it needs bigger portion of the screen to adjust, it tends to not adjust fast paced, action scenes correctly. You get lots of sparkly, blinding small alfa effects. I can easily say that this game has one of the most exhaustive HDR for my eyes. I don't get this much of eye strain, sorenes out of any other game. I just wished we had some solution for it. Some people say that increasing exposure (brightness) in the settings and lowering shadow blackness defeats the blinding effects because the picture doesn't fluctuate that much... But then you ruin the overall contrast and the colors so it is a bit of unaccaptable solution. SDR is not good either. I hope they somehow resolve these issues in the upcoming DLC.
But who knows how Developers intended to be. Just think how PS5 is ready to support all TV'S but there is no good TV with reasonable price and statistic is showing low number of 4K HDR usually 4K is not able to do RGB HDR and that's... That's bad , whole Production lines are closed in largest Fabrics , first it was Lockdowns then War and supply chain completely stopped. Now we have newly opened Fabrics and people assembling TV'S for the first time and EU energy consumption regulations for every device including Displays and forcing them to lower quality from 100% to 68% sometimes it is good quality TV but it's 3000-5000e , it's problem caused by low quality of our TV'S between our expectations and what we think colors look like... HDMI 2.0 didn't give it's maximum but 2.1 appears without any improvement with a lots of Comprises. I doubt Dev don't have calibration settings but it was artistic choice combined with our bad Displays ( Honestly ) we know from where is gas coming for Displays and how hard is to continue with new people and new equipment in different Country.
@@igorbeuk4068 Yeah, we are very far from a prefect Screen and Hardware for gaming at least for 9th gen, I'm waiting to see when will sony announce PS5 Pro, as PS5 can't even deliver a solid 1440p 60FPS in high fidelity mode so we are still in 1080p ages if they want to give you the highest quality of elements.
@@DanielZH I have LG G2 2022 model with HDR HGIG Enabled and Performance mode on with Game optimiser on standard with VRR and 120 FPS set to Automatic and I am having an issue of graphical pop ins like shadows suddenly coming out of nowhere when I am flying around the map or machines pop in out of nowhere can you tell me what is the solution for this rendering lag and graphical pop ins??It really spoils the Beauty of this game please help
@@Bro03 ah, I experienced that once however I didn't play much yet, that's rendering and loading lag as you mentioned, not sure if any settings can affect that. I'll see how it goes as I go though the game. Try rebuilding database on your PS5 and see if that helps
@@DanielZH I have tried rebuilding database but that didn't do anything I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well but no improvement and this problem is a major pain especially after you unlock sunwing which gives you the ability to fly but that opens near the end of the main story and I can't seem to find a way to fix this or make it less frequent
@@Bro03 oh I see, with the current speeds of SSDs, it shouldn't be an issue but this game offers really high quality so I guess that goes to processing power as it's very hard to do real-time while flying

Hi, thanks, HGIG is very good almost the best for this game, about BFI, I don't recommend it at all even in 30FPS, it adds a lot of delay and input lag increases a lot (from tests in C2 and Samsung) not sure how other TVs act, it feels the game response much slower so yeah better to keep that off.

Hi very important HDR SHADOWS is specific for Black flickering edges that are visible when moving in specific color and light composition but to remove Flickering black ajust SHADOWS.
Shadow details at default is just to much black crush shadow detail at +5 is the way to go on LG C2 it preserves details better without raising overall black floor off the game.
Thanks for the info, the tools I was using at the time of making this video were limited, so yeah it might be fine with higher shadow detail without changing black level floor.
Very good material with these HDR settings. I am currently playing this game and the image is displayed on the Gigabyte M32U monitor. Could you advise me how to best set HDR on the console and game so as not to have too warm colors? What I mean is that with HDR turned on, Aloy's face looks too pink, the same with the faces of other characters, while the sun is shining brightly in the game. Hi, Unfortunately, M32U and G27Q Disable all color controls once HDR is enabled, I would highly recommend using HDR on this monitor as it has an IPS panel and there's not much of a difference for this game, and use these color settings on SDR for RGB: 97-100-99

Hi, if you can't feel the smoothness of performance mode, than choose reolution and it'll give you higher quality, normally performance should look smoother when moving character/camera etc.

Hi, I'm not sure, the game doesn't mention it, though reflections look good in 30-40FPS modes, but it's not as good as saying that it uses hardware Ray Tracing.

Thanks, yeah those lights can hurt the eyes, the best solution is to avoid playing this game in a dark room also, game is pretty much bright

that contrast enhancer, enhances highlights by itself, I would keep it on 0 then slowly go higher to see where it starts clipping.

Hi, 60FPS is max of what you get, the 120Hz mode will give you a 40FPS output with no screen tearing.
