Yeah, I'm on finishing up my last couple side quests and have only died to this guy. Overall pretty disappointed with this game. I'm hoping ff7 rebirth is better.

People literally figured out “infinite stunlock combos”… in a final fantasy game… in the first day.. That’s why I said in the original comment, better ai or more fluidity in their tactics would overall make it more challenging. Instead of being easy on any difficulty. The attack patterns are too based/repetitive for the next step since 15. The enemies don’t act tactical in an engaging manner, rather they still act as if it’s a lesser speed/same action rinse and repeat setting. It plays more like devil cry now, but the enemies don’t have the engagement of devil may cry. If that makes sense. The speed of the overall setting doesn’t match the overworld. Without the cinematics, it really would just be same fight repetition the entire game. At least in Devil may cry, the possibilities are endless. In final fantasy, you kinda have no choice but to be based on what you use eikon wise if you actually wanna be impactful. If you choose to not use every eikon, you’re literally just handicapping yourself and it’s not rewarding at all

I always KNEW that the best combination was Phoenix, Odin, Shiva. I love the rest but man the kill rate with these three eikons helps so good. and of course the right powers. Zantetsuken all the wayy

Odin and Shiva are definitely the best one, the final one can be either Titan for some safety net in case you fail to lock or garuda of you want extended duration of half will stun. But yeah anything is fine honestly.
If someone told me their stagger damage was over 600k I would have just assumed they meant in an eikon battle, interesting technique to make the stagger last way longer than intended
My god you are a genius, don’t know if you were the first to do it but def the first I’ve seen using Cold Snap to further stall the time for the next abilities to come off of cooldown during Stagger, I would’ve never thought to use that as I’d only prioritize Rift Slip to further string combinations

Hmmmm. Im still torn between genji gloves and bahamut mercy. The 10% damage increase is decent, but 12 seconds being shaved off gigaflare has made such an impact too. Especially considering the long animation helps other skills cooldown. Doing that more often has resulted in me hitting way higher numbers with bahamut mercy over genji gloves. But this only really applies to 1 enemy. Against multiple enemies, genji gloves is better. Ugh i hate swapping around accessories all the time 😂

Tried this setup and it's dope! It does have a dead end for me with a stagger damage of 883k and 1 mil replacing genji with assailment bit on practice mode. Realistically 600k stagger damage is the average give or take.
I still wonder if all of this is actually intentional or of they just didn't playtest it enough, especially endgame and NG+. Things like Shiva being able to freeze enemies and even bosses over and overa again or abilities recharging at normal speed during time stop/slow down abilities like Odin or Bahamut.

if i didn't cancel diamond dust, i wouldn't get my single bar back. I used limit break at the beginning knowing that diamond dust will fill it back, so it's free time stop

yeah, there are some ideas i wanted to test, and it turns out, rift slip and cold snap can halt anything, including permafrost (precision dodge using cold snap) or just regular frostbite. enemy can no longer escape the combo once initiated, so it's very useful for mob hunt (evidence is this video against svarog)
Hello :-) I just started playing this game. Currently level 43 and nearing the end. I just have a question. I see that you are level 100 already. Do I really need to grind at this game? Or you can get to level 100 and max the AP naturally. I don't mind doing the side quests and hunt board again on New Game Plus Final Fantasy mode. As much as possible I don't want to farm.
there's no need to farm, if you do every sidequests, and equip exp boosting accessories, you'll be 100 naturally, without grinding. AP is the same, no need to farm, only need a few more battles. hope this helps.

It’s the combination of it with Rift Slip that it make it so effective. Without using Rift Slip before it, it does very little to extend a stagger.

permafrost and frostbite are different. precision evasion is needed for permafrost, but unnecessary for frostbite

for me, i will always put shiva and odin together, the third eikon can be anything. I think the best combination is whatever that suits your playstyle

have you played hard mode new game plus? enemies can give 10.000.000 exp so naturally, you'll get to 100 without the need to grind
With very, very little grinding, I got to level 98 in NG+ in Final Fantasy mode with the experience boost accessory.

if you trigger limit break, the extra animations and time slow during activation help bridging cooldowns. try it out in training arena.
