Really crazy to see these are considered rare now. Time really changes everything. Around the time Dean was pushing super hard with the Dime products these became mass released, they made an absolute ton. Now there's only a handful up for sale on the resale market. Even a bunch of guitars from around that time just kinda disappeared. My favorite innovation around that time was the Randall amp that has channels that could be taken out and swapped for other ones.
The krankenstein 2 was never mass produced, I’d guess they made somewhere around 100 or so of them. They didn’t come out until a couple years after Krank went out of business and attempted to fire up again. Allegedly they were made to order and shipped direct to the customer and not in any stores.
A cornucopia of tonal options! Very tight too. Not flubby at all with the Krankshaft engaged. Note also that the Tone Arranger uses the very pro "thumb and finger" method of knob adjustment, unlike "Middle Digit" Lowry...
