This has always been a dream project of mine. I always wanted to get a crappy ford ranger and build a tube chassis with a couple ranger pieces still in it to not get pulled over constantly. P.s. can you guys go into depth on engine/trans specs, its pretty hard to get anybody to talk about it beyond cubic inches/number of speeds.
Short course offroad racing is what got me away from drag racing. My cousin, Dad, my buddy and I built Rotax 670 swapped 85 honda odysseys. There was a track in western PA that had a pilot/odyssey/utv class. My first step in the offroad world and I loved everything about it. Not to mention compared to drag racing it felt abnormally cheap. I drag raced the first 1000whp e36 328 so everytime I touched the track I knew it was going to be expensive. Once I hit my 9 second mark I was pretty much done. Oh and to return to the track a parachute was required for trapping over 150 lol
Omg I love roadkill, I just thought to myself for the 800th time wouldn't that be great if you could build a street legal race truck. Threw that thought in the tube, and bam!
Tech Tip: when drilling holes in lexan, run the hole saw backwards. It still cuts, but isnt as agressive and rip the lexan apart. Makes a nice clean cut. You're welcome.
The truck intake long runners make killer mid range power and help pull through into high rpm’s. Buddies ultra 4 was wicked fast after ls2 heads and long runner truck intake. Think it was right around 475whp vs 320whp before.

I'm thinking of so many hacks and pranks the wireless lights can be used for now. Replace the lights with a horn or an airbag that's hidden in the shop or behind a bush.

man, my father's old Model 40 John Deere had Dzus (named after the fella who invented 'em) fasteners for the hood, we used screwdrivers and quarters to remove 'em before finding out there was a specific tool.
My dad probably would have got that fastener reference.... he worked in the aerospace industry.... :-) I recognized the fastener but didn't remember the term.
Awesome truck for sure but a light bar around my area is against the law to run down the road with it turned on would of looked cool with some kind of fog lights where the headlights should of been

Here in Australia motortrend in its wisdom have block us from subscriptions for what reason I don’t know but I can’t live without my Roadkill ! so much so that I’ve even tried to fill the void with my own roadkill type thing on UA-cam called Backshed. Please someone tell me how to get my motor trend subscription to work again in Australia!!
How did the fastener come to be? The designer tripped on a ship decklid fastener and severely messed up his foot. So he came up with a flush mounted fastener. Dzuz? Duez? I can't remember. Some aircraft types have wingnut style fastener, then again you don't walk on engine cowlings.
That’s good and also you can get a truck on the junk yard to make a cooler car of it in the junkyard I’m understand how good it looks good take a ford or a gmc pick up I’m for sure about the cars and trucks going fast to be off road for the day I am in a mechanic in school and also I’m a fan of road kill that will be awesome 😎 If you need anything else to take a cool ride I love watching it all day Long every day I watch road kill of you guys
@@zoeystewart10 I’m glad your setup works for you. I like the shows, especially engine masters. I have a high powered pc that runs everything on the tv with super high speed internet. Every service I have used, has worked with my setup. Motortrend failed constantly on the main tv and iPhones.
