I watched the wrong video on sitting up my new Frabill Ice Shelter for the first time, I had one heck of a time and felt like I was in a wrestling match! Your video was perfect and helped me set up my shelter sooo much easier, a big thanks from this lifelong Flyfisher and Ice fishing newbie! :D

Excellent video. Been ice fishing for years but never have invested in a hut. Do you know how much this would weigh? I would think it would get heavy if you walking with it strapped over your shoulders.

This hut in the video is insulated, and the manufacturer says it is 36 lbs. That doesn't sound heavy, but imagine that strapped to your back and walking through snow. A non insulated hut of comparable size would be closer to 23 lbs. I have carried huts on my back when fishing in a group and although doable... I sled makes it much easier. I have had both insulated and non insulated huts in the past, while never really needed for the for the warmth just the wind protection, I have found that an insulated hut is more durable because the thicker canvas is more resistant to wear and tear. This is speaking in a general sense, each model and brand will vary of course. Also consider the struggle to get the tent back in the bag. On really cold days the canvas material is less cooperative and might not want to easily go back into the small bag the manufacturer provides, then you might be stuck with carrying it like a load of firewood in your arms.

Seems like these zippers are way too tight on this model. Also, the poles break too easily.

This version is insulated, so it's a bit tighter than the thin canvas versions, but worth it for wind resistance.
