@@rae2559 that was a change that happened after. In the first seasons, Bay was whiny, entitled and selfish. Daphne was kinder, hard working and worked to make everyone happy
I've watched this four times and I cry every time. So sad to watch a brilliant tv show end after five years. Bay and Regina were my favourites and I'm so sad they have left my tv screen. However, switched at birth will remain in my heart.
I know what you mean. The earlier seasons were much better and this last season the first half I was losing interest, but the second half redeemed itself and now I am very sad that it's over. One good thing is you can watch Switched at Birth seasons 1-4 on Netflix, season 5 is on the way very soon though.
I will always argue Switched At Birth is the best TV show I've ever watched as it discusses SO MANY IMPORTANT TOPICS and situations that happen in real life. Of course there is drama, but this is SUCH A POWERFUL TV show!!!
This series has made me cry so much. It has so much inspiration, joy, and happiness. There are many challenges that people face and I love that they face them straight on. This has been one of my favorite shows so far. I respect your decision to cancel the show, but just know you did an incredible job. You guys should be proud of yourselves.
the whole series john has been kinda dickish but in one episode he completely redeems himself in two powerful moments 1) telling kathryn he never cared bay wasn't his even when thought she cheated (unlike angelica god rest his soul) 2) when he talked to bay
@@judgmentangel5413 I'm not sure if this is the episode Darkness is talking about, but 2x15 "Ecce Mono" was about an alternate reality where Regina tells the hospital about the switch when Daphne and Bay are toddlers, and the Kennish's get custody of both girls. John fights for Bay even though she's not biologically his.
finally finished all 5 seasonsman what a ride.....I would've wrapped things up more differently on a higher note but whateverI'll miss the Vasquezes and the Kennishes so muchhappy to have had my eye opened about the deaf community as well
"I am so glad I found you and I am so sorry for all the time I missed" - yeah, well you didn't really found her, you knew where she was for 13 years all along and if it wasn't for Bay you would still be just collecting her pictures in the guitar case.
When Regina explains her reasons, they make complete sense to me: she didn't want to mess with the girls' lives when they were just 3 years old. Regina was at the time struggling with addiction and an unemployed single mother, she was scared the family court would have taken Daphne away from her. In the very same episode when the reveal happens in Season 1, John threatens to do exactly what Regina was scared of, trying to get custody of both girls. And there was what-if episode where they find out in 1998, Daphne goes to the Kennishes, Regina commits suicide out of grief and Bay finds all of this out when she's 16. You have to really lack empathy to lay all the blame on Regina without seeing things from her POV.
I understand her reasons and that she wanted to do what's best for both her daughters. What I blame her for is that she never really tried to get close to Bay after. It was always Bay who begged for her attention.
I never got to see the final episode but after seeing this clip Angelo should’ve been a part of it and I’m still so angry they killed off his character I do think it would’ve been weird but for that last episode he should’ve been there
Because FreeForm canceled the show, I don't think the writers intended on ending the show, you can tell by the way the season was going and how all of a sudden you see it end, is because the writers had to rearrange the show so they'd make something that would be a suitable ending.
Because Bay’s life turned out so horrible? Lol please. She has turned her passion into a career and is in a beautiful, healthy relationship. Bay is thriving, and it gave her sister the opportunity to pursue her dreams. Y’all are so bitter, it’s pathetic. Emmett has already cheated on her and treated her like sh*t whenever they were together, whether or not she took the fall for Daphne, Emmett would’ve found some reason to leave her. Bay does not regret her decision and doesn’t look miserable to me.
I DID NOT like the Regina and Eric relationship at all; the only one meant for her was Angelo and something about Eric and the whole nature of the relationship itself gave me wicked creeps. And what a real bold move to say: "I'll raise your kid if you go serve your sentence..." It's always hard watching Bay and Daphne cry too :'(
Sarah Adoga exactly I was confused too. I think they were trying to make it too sentimental, which is good too. Also Daphne called katheryn mom before but idk why they had to announce it
John's So Called Apology In Scene Sounds Less Like An Apology And More Like An Excuse If You Ask Me Anyway I Did Not Like The Way They Ended Things Between Bay And John Like At All I Think They Could Have Done So Much Better .
I love this show and the meaning in it and even the emotional parts are nice and I am even watching this show on tv too it is a good show love it and I love it too because this is probably base on a real live thing and it have like all stuff people go through like family and people in high school and college and work I ashally see alot of that and I like this show because my stepsister use to watch this when she was at home and now I like this show
I still don't understand why they didn't do a full season 5 even if they had just added 2 more episodes it would have been better than the way they rushed everything in the last episode. Like do 1 episode where everyone is settling into their new normal now and then last episode be a flash forward to show how they all turned out from decisions made in this episode. It just wasn't finished argh! also no Angelo at all? I miss this show especially Regina and Angelo and their bio baby Bay. I did like Regina and Eric very much. Even though he was a fugitive, he was perfect for her after Angelo. I liked Luca but I'm glad she ends up with Eric and Will back in ERS, she had the most adorable relationship with little Will.
No she still calls her mom but now she calls both Regina and Kathryn her moms. Season 5 episode 4 she calls Regina her mom and Regina always refers to Daphne as her daughter because that’s what they are.
Omg and once Bay said, "I'm a Kennish, too, daddy" I started bawling my eyes out
Me too!
me too....
FR
Now she’s a Kennish
bay is my favorite character because she is such a darling and kindhearted. love to see her :)
Daphne is my favorite ❤
Me too!
@@jadamatlock183 daphne is soooo annoying and selfish

Daphne and Bay always switched personalities, when one is good the other is a brat.
toby and his family are like the third wheelers in this scene :P
for real
Lol I love how they are off on like the other side of the table 12 yards away from everybody else! 😂🤣
Toby has been the 3rd wheel for the entire season

Very well said! I feel the same!
Same, the show was epic! Loved watching it as a teen. I could relate cause I was around the same age as the girls
Same Regina and Bay were my favorites.

omg this moment with Regina and Bay 😍😍😍 😢😢😢 I cry every time I watch it! It is just soo sad and also so wonderful 😍
*tenderly* I know ...
And Bay crying cuz she didn't want Regina to leave...omg

The second I saw Daphne's smile at 1:20, I knew.
Regina's not just moving back to East Riverside. She's moving back into their old house.
the whole series john has been kinda dickish but in one episode he completely redeems himself in two powerful moments 1) telling kathryn he never cared bay wasn't his even when thought she cheated (unlike angelica god rest his soul) 2) when he talked to bay
Darkness Spawn you mean Angelo
Alex is Awesome Sauce yes that was a typo i meant angelo
He had some anger issues, I agree, but it never made me dislike him. Those two moments of his were great.
Do you remember in which episode point 1) was?

I love that Daphne and Kathryn finally are mother and daughter!!!!
I'm so glad to find this show. I can't believe all good things come to an end
It might get revived soon, you never know :-)
I just love Regina and Bay the most from the show.

I balled my eyes out while watching this scene. So beautiful!
1:58 It warms my heart so much🥲
Now in my real language : *Ça me fait tellement chaud au cœur* 🥲
Ahhhhhhn this is just so emotional and pretty
Hallmark will begin to show the reruns of switched at birth in 2019 talk of two original movies
Donald Mcauliffe I have hallmark they never mentioned it
This episode makes me cry every time I watch it😭😭😭😭
Bay is my favorite characters Daphne is my least because she always acts so innocent

This scene was amazing and made me cry!
I'm sad abt this but can someone explain who parents is who I'm so confused pls
actually, the scene between Eric and Regina was so childish. Ah I love you but can you go to jail for me? just 2 or 3 years.
Ah okay sure I can.

Isn’t where Bay and Daphne are living in the coffee shop in East Riverside so wouldn’t they see Regina more often. I got confused.

Yes. I just watched season 5 episode 4 and she calls Regina her mom and Regina calls Daphne her daughter because that’s what they are.
