Your detail, care and innovation to keep the authenticity is a pleasure to witness. Fun shot at the end in use by the intended happy child is what it's all about. Thank you for what you bring to restorations!!
Man, I have a phobia with stuff like this ,old baby carriages and the like. creeps me out for some reason. I still watched tho! As per usual excellent restoration! 👍
I’ve recently began my own collection of kitchen gadget antiques & it actually began with me selling similar baby chair and “Tzar’s palace” styled wooden sofa. Hope my kitchen will look amazing in no time, thanks to many restoration channels and your in particular for showing me the variety of items I can find to place on my shelves! Thank you for giving me an idea for a new unique hobby! Best wishes from Russia 🇷🇺!

Wow, the video connects many generations, did a total of 4 generations work on it? That makes the video something even more special, because you have spent time together, Perfect! And of course the result is wonderful again!

Maravilhosa cadeirinha!
Your hands look like my dad's. He has passed away, and he used to love these stuff and working with wood. And seeing you working makes me feel that I'm watching him 🌹. Bless you and hope you're always saved for your loved ones 😊. Thank you for your magnificent hard work ❤
Damn! I had one just like that - don't remember much because that was 70+ years ago, but I do remember that it converted to a car, as you've shown. And that my parents bothered with the conversion only a few times... Thanks for the memories.
I really love all your videos and also this one. I likje the way you make new parts by using old techniques. But I guess there´s some kind of latch missing in the back of the chair (above the eye screw) to prevent the upper part from tipping over.
Very nice work guys !!! Really looks nice you brought that old wood back to life !! and I like the way you bent the wood for the new top edge !! 👍👍Keep up the excellent work !!
I had one of these in the early-mid 70s it was a hand-me-down from my older sisters. Strange thing is that I hated dolls but I would get one every year up to the age of 9! I got 2 of them that year Christmas (‘80) & a Silver Cross dolls pram! I think my brothers helped it get thru to my mum’s head that I hated dolls when she got found one of my brothers performing open heart surgery on one of them & I wasn’t bothered! Good resto job 👍🏻
I couldn't understand what the hinge and wheels were for to save my life until the last scene. That's freaking awesome
Right?! Every child’s dream toy.
I'm not getting it.

I imagine that the original manufacturer took as much care and pride building this as you did restoring it.
I never seen before how to bend wood. Awesome 👏😎🤩
you have to look up, how violines are made
specially the borders/walls ;)

The touch at the end where you show this was made for a little girl to play with only makes this video that much nicer. Well done!
Woodworking sound is so relaxing, and what an amazing result. 😍😍
Definitely one of my favourite restoration channel 🤗
Thank you 😊
I like how true you stayed to the age of the object. Very well done. A really nice video
Thank you :-)
I expected Avril to inaugurate the chair. Maybe the chair is too small for such a big cat. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed this video!
Such attention to detail. Enjoy watching these so much, they bring back memories of watching my father in his wood shop.
I really admire how original you try and keep each project you work on. Not to mention your craftsmanship is AMAZING! Kudos.😁❤️
For the life of me I could not understand what the wheels were for! That is a really neat chair, well done restoring it!

What a beautiful restoration. Very inventive for the time period as well. Love your channel and the time and care you put into each restoration.
Taking a branch to create a wooden rod brings a whole new meaning to "I make a new one". Awesome job.
I remember having one of these as a kid ! OMG I’m old… lol
It’s good to see that you have a younger person working with you, good to pass on the knowledge earned from a lifetime of experience.
Great work 👍 I love cats 😺🤝🤠

In my opinion this is a true restoration🙂
Really like when you both work together and how old some of your tools are.
Looks great😃
Amazing job!!!
So lovingly restored.
I like it first, and then I start watching👍👍👍
Как всегда прекрасная и аккуратная работа!!! Смотрим с удовольствием!!! 🥰🥰🥰
I love restoring wooden pieces too. Beautiful eye for detail
And now it's ready to go for another 70 years! 🙂 Thanks for another great restoration.

If that chair is as old as I suspect, the glue used was animal glue. You could disassemble the joints using hot water to dissolve the glue!
I was thinking the same thing. When they literally sent horses to the glue factory.
Yes I believe it is referred to as hide glue today. Warm water can soften or dissolve it quite easily.
Damn! I had one just like that - don't remember much because that was 70+ years ago, but I do remember that it converted to a car, as you've shown. And that my parents bothered with the conversion only a few times... Thanks for the memories.
