An artist's imagination, an engineer's practicality of design, metalworking, finish carpentry, and shop mechanics all come together to not only look beautiful but work beautifully. Well done! Thanks! Made my morning.
This was "ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!" Super beautiful...super creative...super ingenious...OUTSTANDING creativity. It is OUTSTANDING and very useful. I want one!! One of the very BEST restoration videos I've seen with various restoration worldwide channels!!!! I salute you!!
I know it is two years ago, but I just saw this for the first time. I thought the restored jack looked very nice. Then, of course, you made an adjustable table with it, which I think looks amazing! It is a very nice style and would look good anywhere from a garage or workshop to something classy like a gentleman's den. Top notch work!
That worked out nicely, the jack looks great but it would just sit in a corner doing nothing other than being admired, now it's part of a functional desk and given a new life. Well done!
AWESOME !! Finally, someone who knows how to weld properly, not just tapping the joint with the welder to join the pieces, but someone who lays down a beautiful weld. magnificent job!!!
how wonderful it is to be so mightily skilled in literally everything. working with metal, wood, electricity, just anything. looks like real magic, and so satisfying to watch!
That is the best steampunk upcycling that I have seen on UA-cam. Absolutely amazing. I also noted that you are a master craftsman because you lined up the notches in the screws...perfection!
You are amazing to watch, perfection in motion. The years of training really shows. I took a college class in metle work and appreciate your expertise.
Absolutely stunning. Not just the restoration of the original jack, but the reimagining and ultimate implementation of it into a sitting/standing desk design.
What a fantastic job, I love seeing old things being restored and repurposed for something new. Awesome idea and great craftsmanship. Thanks for an awesome video sir.
Love watching, restoration is such an interesting hobby. Being a person who lives and works on a farm, I know quite a bit about reusing old things to make something for a specific task. Enjoyed seeing your process and how you reused the old jack to make an adjustable desk.
До самого окончания ролика не мог понять что это такое. Удивительный стол. Удобно и на века !!! Великолепная работа. Успехов Вам и процветания. ************** Until the very end of the video, I could not understand what it was. An amazing table. Convenient and for ages !!! Great job. I wish you success and prosperity.
Awesome You are a fabulous craftsman in all areas from wood to electrics, you really put your heart and sole into all your restrictions and I enjoy watching what would of put on the tip to its glorious way it was to begin with when first made. Thank you all your great videos. I like how youmace the jack into a desk. I bet Avril will enjoy resting on it hee hee. Amanda from Scotland
I wish I had seen one of those jacks when I lived in Toulouse/Carcassonne. Makes me want to go back for a while and look for things like this. Gorgeous restoration.
Avril is a very fussy stage personality. She makes many ridiculous demands about her dressing room, getting only her good side on camera, wanting fussy little treats from les patisseries and les boulangeries, etc etc etc. Not worth the hassle! 🤨😉
First; the jack was an excellent quality find and even better restoration! The wood repair, gluing screws and bluing the important parts...First Cabin!! I love that it had a horizontal tab for a toe jack! Adding it to a desk with an amazing Oak top and making it adjustable height Really Made it Sing vintage. Over the top in quality stick welds and engineering design...strong stable and highly functional...best of all worlds, new and old! Thank You for sharing your great work and fine videography! Finally Sub'd! Hat Tip ~PJ
I'm not a fan of *re-purposing* tools and other items but this is one item that would probably never be used as originally meant to be. So, I say you did a fantastic job finding a new life for this jack as well as restoring it. Well Done!!!
So I like watching things get fixed, and I'm watching this and it's awesome, and I get a blast of hot dog breath because my collie puppy loves this. I don't know if it's just him or if it's a dog thing, but he loves it and when I turned it off he went back downstairs.
A very quick trick my dad showed me is to rub your bit / screwdriver against a magnet for a while and it will retain the magnetism for a few weeks usually. Beautiful desk, I hope to be able to make one this nice someday!
У Вас потрясающие видео! Золотые руки! Сегодня весь день смотрю Ваши видео 😍 Нравится ,как поют птицы, нравится Ваш кот и звуки реставрации. СПАСИБО за эстетическое удовольствие 😇
To keep a restored brass part shiny it is a good idea to spary it with clear lacquer before reinstalling it. That adjustable desk was a brilliant idea. Congratulations.
I like the idea this was turned into a desk. Fabulous job! I just love the old fashioned way of arc welding. I was taught the most about arc welding back in 9th grade as a high schooler. Wasn't taught much of mig welding though. Just the fact you gotta knock off the flux with a hammer and wire brush after welding lol
who say that girls out there are not interesting with this kind of thing ?? for real i really enjoy most of their videos and also i learn so many things from them..keep it up !👍👍
What an absolutely splendid idea. And the best part is you made it look like this was the intended use for the jack. It is actually beautiful, I would not have expected that. You guys are so great at what you do, always a joy to watch. 😃
Had to jump on and comment. You guys are amazing! The vision for this piece is brilliant! This piece would look great in any designers/engineers, or architects room. I always love seeing what you do with your restorations but this my friends has got to be my all time favourite by far. I’d like to see more innovative restores like this one in the future please. ❤
Just Awesome!! May I be so bold as to suggest adding brass retaining chain to pin, so as to not loose it and a nice accent to the brass plate? Bravo!! Beautiful work as always!!
How cool is that! You have quite the skill set. It was educational and enjoyable to watch the various processes you used to restore the jack (an unusual item for me) and create the desk. Thank you!
This is a perfect example of renovating an old device to re-use it for a modern purpose. Well done.
hi, i'm new to this business, can you see how i restore? ??
yes, a great place for Avril to catch his cat nap

This is probably the best restoration channel on UA-cam.....The amazing work is beyond any words...👍....
You should look at the my mechanics channel.
Stunning stuff!
I absolutely agree!
My mechanics is much better, he always "makes a new one".
Hand tool rescue
@@bdaddyjames011976 good, but not on the same level, in my opinion.
The restoration of the jack was absolutely brilliant, and what a great idea to re-purpose it for a modern application.

Absolutely LOVE the finished jack and what a unique way of bringing old into the new. Great work
I think that this restoration outdid the wheelbarrow one. What a craftsman you are.
It appears there is an LADB Sr. & Jr. That makes the content that much more heartwarming!

Is it just me or is the restoration community one big support group and family??? ❤❤🇹🇹🇹🇹
this is probably one of the cooler standing desks I have seen. What a great mixture of old and new!
You are amazing to watch, perfection in motion. The years of training really shows. I took a college class in metle work and appreciate your expertise.
What patience! You do BEAUTIFUL WORK! It's inspiring to see such craftsmanship. From Florida USA
this man who restored that thing there, he's an excellent welder.

The good ol slag hammer, and also thank you for considering us viewers and pointing the camera away from the light from the arc welder
WOW! One of the best restoration and repurposed object I've ever seen! Thanks for a really cool project.
Actual restoration was soooo pretty. Desk, amazing.
It’s always great to see someone using a stick wielder the way it’s designed. Great work.
I love how you gave such a beautiful, historic piece a new life as a (standing) desk.
Wow, perfect idea friends, thanks! Radek
Top quality work! Thanks for sharing your talent!
All the others said all the words that I was planning to use. Absolutely brilliant.
I love the fact of all restoration channels are so damn united and friendly with each others
I really love that you restore so many tools made of wood. Not many channels do,and I think it's really neat!
Dear Mr LADB please give the cat more air time, he is the star of the show. Good upload. Thank You.

I like that you do a CAT scan on all of your projects.

Absolutely sick mad brilliant genius. My hat is well and truly off to this. Just clever as it gets.
Nice re-purposing of the old jack. The desk has an air of steampunk about it!
Superbly magnificent. The work, the aesthetic, the respect for history. Love the edge on the table -- what a sophisticated juxtaposition.
Absolutely brilliant..what a great way to use that Jack.
Amazing job as always guys!! That table looks absolutely incredible. Such a great furniture, made by an old beautiful tool. This was perfect! :)

I wish my welding was as good as this. Excellent resto and repurpose.
Beautiful desk, well done, I’m sure that it is going to look amazing wherever it goes. Desks like that are worth a lot of Money these days.

Really beautiful. I can’t imagine the pride and the pleasure of watching something working and using it after all the sweat to make it.
