- This was our last trip to our favourite bottle dump before this recent lockdown and wow were we not disappointed with our finds! We found lots of beautiful pipes and poisons. Come along and scrabble in the dirt with us!
We have a Ko-fi account, so if you wanted to support us by buying us a metaphorical cup of coffee it would be greatly appreciated xx

#MUDLARKING #THEFINDERS
Love your sweet video. The look on your sweet face when your mother stumbled, the amount of concern almost had me in tears. What a wonderful family you all are.
I could swear that your voluptuous lady pipe is Lady Godiva on her saddle. Her hair is just so accurately placed!
I thought the same thing when seeing the lady pipe!
It is so nice to see mother and daughter doing things together.
I am very lucky that Kate enjoys the same things as me :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers she was brought up right! ;)
@Colombe Couture if you like watching these ladies. You’ll like Northern Mudlarkers also! Kit and Caboodlers have gone mudlarking with them a few times, lots of fun watching all 4 ladies find history in the muck!! ❤️❤️❤️
@@Katseye102 I do all the time and love them also.
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers Kate and Fleur, that little square ink bottle with the M on the bottom could be a marking ink bottle. I learned that from Gail and Alex. Great bead, poison bottle and clay pipe day ladies. Hello from eastern North Carolina! You have the kind of relationship I wish I'd had with my mom. I love the cat figurine.
I absolutely love hearing Fleur declare ' IT'S MADNESS!!' I don't know why,but it makes me smile every single time 😊
Haha I do seem to say it a lot :)
Such lovely people, with an appreciation of simple and small things and the story they may tell...... and to Kates' mum... how wonderful, that you've passed these values on to the young people. Love the videos.
If the viewers get to vote about seeing your ink bottle collection, Kate, I say "Yes". And regarding your collabs with other mudlarkers when it is safe to do so, again I vote "Yes"....the more the merrier!!
Haha we may show a few of our collections over the next few weeks and we can not wait to do some collabs :)
Dear Family,
Its field of memories. All the items have a owne story.
Come on and listen.
I think so. Thank you for the adventure.
Liebe Grüße Jette
Our pleasure! :)
Yea, that helps, happy hunting..😃 from the US..
🇨🇦 Ha, ha, ha. Kate you really need to let out that squeel of excitement before you explode. 😀 We really do enjoy your enthusiasm. I am really am enjoying the sound of bird song on yet another cold day. On the positive side it has now warmed up to -22 Celsius. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day💖
Oh my goodness! -22!!!!!
Oh I hope you're making a mold of that bird head for a brooch or pendant. EEEEE!!! Love it!
An interesting thing about your videos, and bear with me,lest you hastily take it the wrong way.
Often times, after a days work,I watch one of your newest videos, and I fall asleep!!
NO,not from boredom!
It is soothing, tranquil, that quality that invites me into a dream like state.
I typically become lucid again, and re-view the video, after exploring quiet moments of quasi-dream.
And I love that!
Only YOUR videos bring about such a peaceful state!😌
Oh, me too!! I took a nap just now, with my dog Lexi, and had to restart the video!☺️ So peaceful!!❤
Happy Valentine's Day to me because I got to watch a K & C video. Wonderful. And Happy Valentine's Day to Dad, Fleur, Harry, Kate & Oscar. You all have a special place in my heart. :)
One of your beads looked like an orange and it got me thinking of your little dolls house.you could use some beads for a little fruit bowl green beads for apples and yellow for lemons and oranges 🍊
Oh that is definitely a good idea! :)
Thank you for the beautiful photography shots of the plants and surroundings, including a perfect mushroom standing straight and proud. Thanks for taking us along. 💞
Oh happy birthday Kate
I wonder if the peach beads are coral. Coral necklaces were once very popular.
Love the ship design on the pipe. Still to find a complete poison bottle, you did so well ! Hope you're both doing OK, take care Josie and Andy x😄
Kate is a pipe magnet and I seem to be a poison bottle magnet! It is odd how these things come about haha. Fingers crossed for your first poison :) x
Happy Valentines day ladies. ❤🙂
Happy Valentines :)
Your anchor and galleon pipe is by a maker called McDougall from Glasgow. It would have been stamped on the stem. Lovely haul today Ladies!
Do you have any idea on the date range for that particular pipe? Being that I am an ex US Navy sailor, I found it quite interesting.
@@TheRabajohn Hi there. MeDougall started making pipes in 1846 and always stamped his pipes with Glasgow. However after some import law in the US in 1891 they had to be stamped Scotland. So the Glasgow ones are the early ones.
That’s great! Thank you so much for taking the time to answer and the speedy response. I have a clock made in the 1850s in Glasgow by a James Muirhead and my maternal ancestors were from the Aberdeen area of Scotland.
Thank you so much for the information we really appreciate it :)
VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE. DEREK X
You guys are so funny with your dolls.
I so enjoyed this video, with all the beads, bits and bobs, as well as the little "man of mirth". You're right Kate, nobody could look at him and not smile. That kitter reminded me of Sunny, except he looked like a Manx/bob tail. Looking forward to the head mending. Have you ever thought of using tiny pieces of glass or pottery pressed into your clay to make a miniature mosaic piece for the doll house? You could even finish one of the faces as a mosaic? Could be fun. : ) The Happiest Valentines Day to All!
We will look in to that. Thank you :)
What excellent ideas!
I was thinking a mudlark with you ladies, the Mudpies and Tom Burleigh would be awesome !! As soon as I saw “Brighton” on that mug I thought of the Mudpies !!
So happy it was such a great “Dump Day” for you both. 🥰
Happy Valentine’s Day 💕💕
Amazing video and awesome finds, god bless and stay safe and well 🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰🥰👏👏👏👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹
The beads and figures are beautiful thank you for the great videos
Happy belated birthday and Valentine's day.🤩
What a wonderful day filled with beads, pipes, poison bottles and doll parts! Can't wait to see what you do with the dolls!!
Magnificent bottle finds. I was squealing with you! Cannot wait to get out of lockdown and do some dump searching myself.
What an amazing day of great finds! I adore your videos. I think my favorite find was the bird's head.
Looking forward to seeing some craft from your finds...keep well🌹
What wonderful finds. I sat here and clapped and cheered every time you picked up a n item. Stay safe and warm. Hug from Rosie to Sunny. 🥰🥰🥰
Some lovely finds ladies. Always happy when you find something for the first time. Pretty poison bottles and mini ones too.
Happy Birthday Kate,Happy Valentine's Day to you all.
This was an amazing episode. Loved every minute of it.
Oh 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻, I can't wait for the "Franken' Dolls"🤸🏼♀️🤸🏼♀️!!! We have an artist's "oddities" shop on our downtown main street. SO many really cool creations by gifted local artists with fabulous imaginations. Paintings and dolls and even memento mori jewelry. Oh I love just wandering around in that store🙌🏻.
Congrats Fleur on your double cobalt blue" not to be taken" bottles👏🏻👏🏻!!! They're stunning 😯😊!!!
And that imprinted aqua inkwell, Miss Kate... what a magnificently lucky find. I'd love for you to show your collection in an upcoming video 👍🏻👍🏻😉.
Absolutely, positively LOVED🥰 your vintage Valentine's 👏🏻👏🏻!!! Amazing to see... what a treat!!!
Hope all is remaining safe and healthy with your family and friends 🤞🏻. Love to all👨🏻👩🏻🧑🏻👩🏻🦰👦🏻🧓. 😊🤗🤭😘
Thank you Juliet we are very excited about making our new heads :)
I’ll never understand how you find places like this, I’ve been searching for months. Love your videos.
Sorry about that it can be hard but keep trying I am sure you will find a place :)
Great finds ladies.
That is a wonderful dump. Love the colorful bird head, almost looks like a woodpecker but probably a pheasant. Looking forward to the crafts.
Ohhhh…. That bird head!!!😍😍😍
hi,i think that the marble in the earlier part of the vid is an end of day marble, cant wait till the roundup to see, good work
Could you put that bashed German marble into a rock tumbler and smooth it up and then varnish it? Great finds! This was fun!
I am going to try and smooth it and varnish :)
Wonderful, lone the bird heah, looks good with the corn.Happy Valentines Day, and happy birthday
Great video . that blue plater looks like it might have had a cherub statue form kind of like
Love it all! Best wishes till next time!
Tiny ink bottles - I suppose that makes total sense in an age before the ball-point and fountain pens! 😁♥️
Happy Valentines Day ...stay warm im sure sunny cat knows where the warm spots are.
It's so sad to see this video now, knowing the apple trees are gone...Wish they could have been saved....😢😢😢😥😥
There was a bottle stop right near the second clay pipe. :) ps love the channel n what you do. You all are amazing...
Liked for the second time around, always refreshing always enjoyable.
Happy Birthday
Such pretty little bottles, the green one especially!
I love your bird head and your little man's head. The Brighton cup is so cool. They marbles are beautiful.
Thanks so much :)
Thankyou Kate and Fleur. Just watched your video. It has picked me up immensely after a sad week for us.
From blue/green poison bottles to pipes and beads. But, I love the woodpeckers head and the naked lady pipe bowl. Possibly a mermaid?
❤️🌿🌻🧜👁️ Xx
I hope you are feeling a little better. We are thinking the pipe is possibly Lady Godiva. :) x
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers Oh yes it could be. I live near to Banbury. Look up Banbury Cross.
We lost our Spaniel Charlie, so hard. 🥺
Looking forward to tomorrows adventures. ❤️🌻🌿 Xxx
Hello!!😃 It seems that since this video were posted, Kate’s had another birthday, and another Valentine’s Day has passed as well. I hope every passing year brings you joy and love!! I so enjoy your videos, and am so envious that I can’t be there along with you both, but still thoroughly enjoy trekking along, through the tv screen.🥰 I agree with the comments of the bosom-y lady pipe, being Lady Godiva. I think it’s her hair, wrapped around her hips, perhaps? Love to you both, from West St. Paul, Minnesota, USA.😘
Check with Tideline Arts. Nicole has one like it and it is a lady sitting on a commode. It is also, I believe, the one with the horns (Anti Diluvian something?)... Cool Beans.
Staggering , amazing to find two blue not to be taken bottles , laying there close waiting, blessed, nice one , must be a hardy touched spot ❤👍🙂
Oh so lovely. Amazing finds, Kate is so a pipe magnet, and you are both the doll parts, figurines magnets 😊 I just love watching you both, it's so relaxing and fun ❤.
Happy Birthday for last Saturday Kate, I hope you had a good day despite lockdown. And I hope you will all be out of it very very soon. Stay safe lovely family ❤😊
Thanks so much 😊
Yep,Magrit,Ici nest pas un pip,,love the pipes,I went to a local small beach, expecting nothing, came back with a bit of modern sea glass and some pool tiles and a shell, once upon a time at the same beach we found sea urcins, but no more,I was very sad.
Lovely video this week. Fingers crossed for lockdown to end. Although l enjoy your crafts there's nothing like your mudlarking in a bottle dump or beach. Thank you. Xx
Awesome finds Ladies, thanks so much for taking us along.
Thanks for watching! :)
Happy Birthday, super video some lovely finds. I must get out hunting ones the snows gone..stay safe...V...
Thank you! We are so excited that we should be able to mudlark in about 3 weeks at last :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers YESSSSS..
Wild how y’all find that’s stuff over here across the pond we never find cool stuff like that .Awesome lady’s HH GL
Keep going ladies I love your videos
Yes!! You are back in my favourite orchard :) How creepy that little dolls eye looked! I would guess if anyone could tell you more about that Rubens Mermaid pipe bowl it would be Nicola White or Jason Sandy! Loved that battered old German marble x
We think it maybe Lady Godiva and made in Coventry :)
I had to rewatch this video! I really enjoy the nature shots you take at off times. They fill the gaps with beauty and tranquility. I just love watching you girls! You get so excited and are so happy with even the tiny finds. Please stay safe and be careful! ❤
The gnarled branches of the apple orchard looks mystically witchy. Super finds. Please be safe and healthy.
Great video. Thank you. We are expecting a big snowstorm so we may be in a snow lockdown for the next couple of days.
So the lovely red glass with the incised floral pattern with the white glass interior is called “cased or overlay glass”. And when you find glass beads with clear colored glass over white, sometimes that is referred to a “white heart” bead. The really chunky, old ones tend to be african trade beads. The white heart is most often coated with red glass with solid white glass bulging out surrounding the holes.
Thank you! :)
The woodpecker's head you found would be a great mask to put on a dumpbaby.
I always enjoy watching you find these things. So amazing! Thank you ansmd stay well and Happy Valentine's Day!!!!
The dollhead rebuild will be fab. I watched a tv program about a Japanese artist, he rebuilt and rejoined ancient broken pots and plates.
That first green bead reminds me of what rosary beads are made of
It is very beautiful :)
Good find with the blue poison bottles, Fleur! I shared your excitement and squeaky voice!
Happy belated birthday, Kate! I love your enthusiasm!
That faceted green bead is extra, extra special. Your Valentine's gift from the Mudlarking Goddess.
Yes! Thank you!
Happy Valentines Day girls. Love this mudlarking it was a great adventure and you do beautiful things with recycling, peace Julie
Infectious enthusiasm as always. Loved it.
Yay, thank you! :)
The lady on the pipe looks a bit like a sea nymph one that I once saw, she is sitting in the same position.
Some lovely finds. X
Hope you had a wonderful Valentines Day, loved the video as always. Many Thanks
I love this place! I would be there every morning from the second the sun came over the mountains. Assuming there are mountains there. Where I live there are mountains and if i found an amazing place like this here where I live I would totally be there early in the morning.
Absolutely Fabulous Fleur & Kate, I am your number one Fan, excuse me, your videos just melt my heart. Thanks 😊🌹🌹
Thanks so much 😊
The gum referred to on the ink bottle probably included gum arabic used in inks as a thickener and stabiliser for printing, and other gums were used in art making and printing processes. It would be interesting to find an advertisement which lists the products they sell. Love your finds, and your enthusiastic explorations. Stay safe.
That is such a special dump that keeps giving up lovely finds. I love those poison bottles and think the birds head maybe a woodpeckers. Thank you and have a good week
Love your channel so much. I have done a bit of treasure hunting over the years (mainly with a metal detector) but have yet to find any decent bottle dumps. I have a couple of rivers to investigate after lockdown, can't wait until we can all get out again.
I love each and everyone of your video's and the music you play is awesome!!
Wonderful video! Love the finds and can't wait to see what you do with them:) Thanks for sharing and stay well!
Your first green bead looks like a Bohemian (now Czechoslovakia) cornerless cube bead . It's "vaseline" glass so will glow under black light. They were used in trade, and came in different colors with green and yellow the most common.
Thank you! :)
So Happy this channel popped up on my feed, excellent finds Ladies and the accents make every find even more interesting, look forward to checking out the rest of your videos, Thanks For Sharing, GL&HH!!!💙
Wonderful !!! What an Amazing place ! The pipe with a small harp on probably has shamrock not clover on
You are right! :)
Absolutely adorable video!!! Thank you for sharing this, amazing finds . 💝👍👁💋👃👍
Thank you so much 🤗
Kate what happened to the happy little head you found? Is it still in the bottom of your bag perhaps? Another good video please keep them coming. Have a great week.
Such wonderful finds. Happy Birthday and Happy Valentine's Day. I sent you a message through Kofi
The small bottles are adorable I have a small collection my self ☺ mainly old perfume bottles about an inch to 1/2 inch tall, the eye was a first for me when it was put in the doll eye socket I gasped lol lol..pipes and stems fascinate me cause they're so commonly found, the beads were everywhere ☺, when you clean the beads have you used like a knitting thread to clean the hole? Some of the beads you find are to tiny for the knitting thread but not for a sewing thread, the blue and white you find have such pretty designs on them, the cherub tray is precious. Thank you for sharing. Happy belated birthday and a Happy Valentine's day...💕
We love small bottles so much easier to display than large ones :)
Yes, and they display easy also...the excitement Kate has when she finds something is a delight ☺...Have a lovely day finding more treasures.
Completely enjoyed video! Your excitement makes me smile. Terrific finds and the poison bottles! Stay safe ladies. Hello to Oscar and Sunny cat and Dad. Happy Valentines Day 💖
Nice German hand blown glass doll eye. The light bulb is from a flashlight ("Torch") A fouled anchor is usually a Navy symbol.
Love the glass eye xx fab find. Lovely hobby. Can I please ask how do you clean your bottles? And find your sites!!
We use Barkeepers friend and magic balls which are tiny ball bearings you swish around in the bottle to get rid of dirt. We were told about this particular dump we research a lot too :)
Fill the little bottles with beads you've found, cap it and make necklaces.
That is a lovely idea :)
Fab video Ladies, brilliant finds! I found an eye just like that at the place you went with Tom, it was watching me from a sandbank 😂 Hope you had a lovely Birthday Kate 🎂🎁 x
It is one of my favourite things to find! Not sure why haha :)
28:54 She obviously inherited her 'eye' from you, Fleur, because I was just thinking the same thing about you!! LOL
Wonderful, so wonderful, thank you☮️🇨🇦
Thank you too!
Watching you dig in the dirt and finding a first piece makes your videos so fun. How long have you been mudlarking.
🎂Happy Birthday🎂
