Hi ladies! Thanks so much for your lovely words at the end there - we are so glad that you liked our wee presents. I have to be honest - the dolls head with the eyes kind of gives me the heebie jeebies, so we knew it would be going to a much better home with you both! Fab day out with you at the bottle tip - we should do it in summer next time when it stays light until 11pm 😂 Sarah x
I spy a partial Bobs pipe . Being a Fifer ; I have a few of these . ‘BOBS’. This was the nickname for Lord Roberts, a Victorian Field Marshall, The pipe is not that far from home and the moulds for it still exist . Yes great haul ; it's an everyday thing for us bottle diggers /mudlarkers there. It is a great dump for full pipes ; " Gimme a Tam White" . Cool dolls head too . As I have said in a previous video with finds from here TW was a generic pipe (emperical evidence) associated with localities rather than makers . 16 makers at least of these TW pipes . Did you come across any of our sculptures that we place on filled in holes or sad faces on broken gingers . If you did then they were placed their by the Ginger Stigs . (that's me and my buddies )
The nit comb is made out of celluloid. Lots of ladies' toiletry sets (brush, comb, mirror, nail buffers) were made out of celluloid which was indeed one of our first plastics. Celluloid, the first synthetic plastic material, developed in the 1860s and 1870s from a homogeneous colloidal dispersion of nitrocellulose and camphor. It supersedes Bakelite which was developed in 1907.
Thank you very much for that information. There was also a plastic called Ivoroid which was used to simulate ivory but it was only called that in the UK. Thank you again :)
I've seen both your video and D.S.o.S.'s video, and I thoroughly enjoyed the collaboration. 🥳As many others have said, I love your excitement over some of the finds. Your facial expressions and exclamations really make me smile. 😁Two thumbs up for all the wonderful gifts from Willie and Sarah. They are a class act for sure.🥰 I'm looking forward to meeting the new Scottish cousin, whenever you create her. 😁 I hope you're fully recovered, Kate, but in case you're still dragging a bit, do take time out to rest. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that we'd rather have you healthy than not. 🤗😘 I'll see you next time. Bye for now. 😊💛👍
Thank you! Kate is fully recovered and we will definitely be making a Scottish cousin sometime in the future, maybe she can be visiting in the sitting room :)
That was really fun. I love how genuinely excited you both get with your finds. It makes it so enjoyable to watch you both. I'm glad you got to meet up with Willie and Sarah, it looks like you all had a great time. Thanks for sharing! 😊
How absolutely fabulous. This was such a lovely lark to join you all on. I loved all the little bottle's you found, and that little pig was amazing. He was so cute and perfect. Your gifts were lovely too. Especially that dolls head, with its original eyes no less. So many treasures in one day. Well done to you all and thanks for sharing. Hard to believe, trash can be treasure, but it can. You never know what will turn up next. Thats what i love about larking. X
Just started your second video and really enjoying it, the dog whistle some of the beads, the blue flower bead, pot lid, eggcorn pipe, the heads, Both sides of family sewed, have my Grandma glass beads that look like flowers. My favourite finds are the blue ink bottle, pig, eggcorn pipe, I love the history and your enthusiasm is infectious. you hooked me. Nice couple and kind of them to send you those items ,had to subscribe and continue sharing special moments. Thanks
i love your videos so much, especially your crafts! you have inspired me to start painting again after i stopped in 2017. i don't usually leave a comment as your videos will play on autoplay for hours while my hands are covered in paint but i stopped after setting up my paints to type this out. thank you so much for inspiring me to start making art again!! much love from san francisco, california, usa 💖
That was an awesome collaboration with Willie and Sarah. Both of you and Willie and Sarah found some great things. Take care and thank you for sharing 🙏👍❤️
Was such fun meeting you both! We should definitely meet up again for another adventure! And thanks so much for your very kind words and support in your video. We hope you get lots of use out of your gifts from Scotland. Willie and Sarah. 🙂 xx
Love Sarah’s 2023 calendar! At 41:02 - Why didn’t you show that gorgeous container to Willie who does AMAZING restorations! That was right up his alley and it was a beautiful item. Please ask Willie to go back for it ☺️
I follow Willie and Sarah since they started. I remember the video when Willie found the dolls head. I'm so glad you got to meet them. Sarah is a beautiful painter. And Willie is a great digger. Their dog Jack Spaniel is a fun puppers. You found some amazing finds there on that tip. I love the slanted eyed piggy. So cute/
Well that was worth waiting for! Brilliant video Ladies. The finds are amazing especially the pipes and the pig and the inks. I'm so glad you teamed up with Willie and Sarah, I love their videos and I imagine they are great fun to spend time with. Hope you are feeling better Kate 😃💗 x
Don't you just love that piggy pig pig and the tiny ink well and sooooo many pipe bowls but the acorn one was the best with the bobs second. Hope you had a lovely holiday with your great aunt. I have missed you all this week.
Greetings, from Branson Missouri USA🖐 You both are adorable and I love watching the treasure hunt 😁❤ Finding an old bottle dump is THE VERY BEST🤗 OH, I have some cute dollhouse beds I've made from drift would found on our local Lake. Love to send you some photos😄
It’s lovely to see the four of you together. You all have such vivacity. Also, I imagine that the comb has an elephant in it, because it’s *not* made of ivory.
Your "elongated bubbly" bottle may have turned out that way because it was the first bottle of the day, which meant it was poured into a cold mold. This also accounts for the "whittling" effect. Just a possibility. Great video! Love Dirty Secrets of Scotland!
OH MY GIDDY AUNT!! I'd have to charter a small plane if I was there!! Such a fabulous place. AND I have pipe envy too now 😮😆Thank you for taking us along my lovelies xx Teresa 🇦🇺❤
Awww luv all of the treasure.. it was an INK-redible lark! My favorite is the piggy. Happy hunting ❤️ maybe ask or commission Willie to cut the pottery he's very good at it😆😉
So sorry I missed the premiere, did catch the DS of S version. Really enjoyed this one too! You found so many wonderful treasures. I always love how excited you get, thanks for taking us along.
Wow! Amazing finds again. I am always amazed at all the wonderful objects you find and just laying there waiting for someone. The little doll's head you found is so cute, can't wait to see her made into another family member for your dollhouse. I hope you will restore the doll head you were given, the eyes are beautiful. The stationary eyes were set in with a very sticky wax, put in just around the eye opening to hold them in and seal the opening. A plaster was then poured just over the eyes to keep them in permanently. (I am sure you already know this but, just passing it on for anyone who might be curious) Thank you for sharing you fantastic finds!
Thank you! We are going to make a paper mache body hopefully for the big doll restoration, which will be rather time consuming and hopefully an interesting film to make and watch! :)
Oh what I'd give to explore a dump like that!! Your little pig reminds me of the pieces of a porcelain pig I found a few weeks ago in my local woods. Thankfully, I had all the pieces for its face 👌 Keep exploring and spreading the wonder! ☆
What a wonderful dump with great treasures. Love the big bottles but the small things are amazing as well... The pig is the cutest thing ever and so. many. pipe bowls! I really like the filming of mushrooms and all the nature shots in the golden hour light, so pretty!
What an amazing day for all of you! I cannot wait to see all of your wonderful finds. I love your pantsuit. Little piggy for your animals so sweet. Do any of those bottle stoppers fit those bottles that you have found.
Absolutely awesome that you got to meet up with Willie and Sarah. I watch both of their channels and I love them both. He always announces when he finds spongewear that he will save it for you two. Awesome day and I love the bubbly bottle and that you found a bottle to commemorate your visit there.
Thank you for all the hard work you put into your videos! Filming and editing can become all time consuming. Just wanted to let you know how much your efforts are appreciated.
I’m chuckling quietly at the Fettes College find. It’s pronounced “ Fet” as in let, then tees. Fettes is the Eton of Scotland. Many of my friends brothers used to go there. One of my school friends was one of the first girls to go there when it became co Ed. I went to the school literally over the road from there. We had many a snowball fight over the road between the private boys and the Broughton pupils. Oh fun memories. Back then the boys had very distinctive blazers and used to go into Stockbridge to buy supplies, as girls we used to love to smile and chat with them - it was torment for them coming from an all male environment. The little doll will have to have a good Scottish name like Wee Jeannie, or Heather or Janet. I loved this video, thank you.😊
How amazing the number of pipes you found! And the dolls head, fantastic! I love the ink bottles too, as many as I have seen I still see some that I have never seen before. This was a great day for you as well as for Willie and Sarah! I'm so jealous that you get to interact with each other as well as the other UA-cam channels! I love watching you all so very much! Please be careful and stay safe! ❤❤
So so many pipes and much more your excitement is great and makes your videos that much more interesting and fun keep being you. love from Tennessee in the. USA
The TW pipes are “The Workman” pipes, especially with the hand on it. The “ murder bottle” is one of mine dream finds. The broken torpedo bottle, what a heart breaker. The acorn pipe, also a dream find, love all that’s acorns.

Oh, I loved this weeks video! Y’all found some really amazing things. I seen the video of Willie finding the dolls head and all the pottery they seem to be the sweetest couple. Sara from Manchester Mudlarks is going to be so jealous of the pottery shard that has the bee on it. That’s their signature symbol for their channel and she usually puts a bee on all her crafting projects she makes. I really enjoyed the twofer today and as I always say I can’t wait to see next weeks video.❤
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers Hi Kate & Fleur. I hope you're feeling better now Kate, so sorry you were under the weather. This collaboration with you along with DSOS was very entertaining. I have a suggestion for you in regard to the Fettes College plate bottom. Perhaps you might be able to ask Gail and Alex if they can help you by cutting the bottom off? I think the history behind that is lovely, but sad also. My daughter-in-law is so obsessed with bees she got a bumblebee tattooed behind her ear; she'd be so envious [in a good way] about the logo, or mascot, being a bumblebee. That fine china plate is so beautiful, I hate to think about it being used as a paint pan...perhaps a food dish for your Sunny cat? Love, hugs & greetings to you both from your friend in North Carolina, USA.
Well, this was a lot of fun! I can’t believe some of the finds you found. I was drooling over all of the inkwells! The blue one is adorable. And your dolls heads. I love dirty little secrets. And she walks she paints. She is really talented. Thank you so much.💜🤟🏻🤗🥸🇺🇸

Sooooo many pipe bowls!
What an abundance of pipes!

Definitely an inkredible blue bottle!

Kate is much better thank you :)
