We got in the groove and knocked out the other 3 walls, got everything tied together AND we built a solar power station to run saws and chargers. Our off grid cabin build is coming along really well!

From my observations, I like it for what it's worth. I believe this man has some good idead and has done an excellent job. There are some things I see done a little different but it is not to be said in a negative way. There wasn't any use of a jack stud for the window headers, and the door has an irregular header. Other than that just the 2x4 blocking was done vertically in some areas but I am very confident that this will hold up just dine and will be following to see some awesome progress from this man and his wife. It is super awesome to see that this is a strong couple willing put in the effort in building something monumental in their lives. It truly shows hard work and dedication. My hat does off to the both of them.

As absolutely lovely as this is... and always will be thanks to the internet, i have a question. Why didnt you shore up that top wall joint, or put a stud to join the two 2x4s? Just asking because id like to know how to avoid the wall coming apart at the top when you lift it.
Simply put, we should have. Even if it was temporary to hold it together while raising the wall it would have been a good idea.
I think its wonderful that u guys work together. I look forward to seeing it finished

Thats an interesting design, after building for a lifetime an retired now I'm invested now. So hope the best for you guys. Only question i have is where was the temporary braces or kickers on all those walls untill you return for next move. I may have missed it but usually theres a brace every 4 to 6 feet temporary kicker on framing walls untill joist an rafters are on to secure it. Its a sad site to come back an it's all laying down because of win or whatever freak of nature mother nature desides to provide.
We added kickers to the inside and outside before we left. We're way further along now, with most of the r panel on the exterior and we're getting spray foam insulation above the ceiling in the morning!
