M2c needs to come out with some 5mm shock shafts for the k6 range the stock shaft r 💩💩💩, even still the exb pins still break under hard bashing but they r better than the v4/5 pins

I purchased M2C's new diff pins for a set of V5 diffs. I used them, but upon close inspection of the size difference....there is none. Same EXACT diameter. I have some McMaster Carr drill blanks that fit through the outputs, and they are significantly larger in diameter than both stock and M2C's... which are the same size. I got M2C's because I didn't want to cut the drill blanks😅. Turns out that the stock ones would've been enough, outside of the drill blanks. 🤷
Edit, I also made sure that the McMaster Carr blanks I have would fit into the gear. They do, but only BARELY. Yes, to clarify, I am using the stock V5 outputs for now in a new build....because I bought M2C EXB ones for a M2C'd out K6. Haven't broken the stock V5 ones yet. So if M2C's outputs are made better to fit the newer stock size pins, then that would be a better match. But the stock V5 outputs (with the slightly larger holes) can handle an even larger diameter pin. I was hoping M2C's pins were the diameter of my drill blanks....but they're not. At least I know M2C's are of a definite, high quality tool steel for sure. But, to my knowledge, Arrma's steel for the pins are quite decent.

The outdrive cups themselves from M2C are both built way better quality and have a slightly smaller hole. The pins them self from M2C were built to match the size of the new stock newer version arrma finally come out with. But they are made of a much better material, as everything from MTC has a much better material. So the size of the pins themselves are going to be the same. However, they are going to have less slop if you put them into M2C’s outdrive cups because the hole is smaller. Regarding the photo used for the thumbnail the pin, you see that is referencing Arrma‘s is their old pin that they actually used to ship for many years. But I do clarify that in the video that Armma did set things straight a bit by increasing the diameter. But they never increase the quality of the metal. So now you do have much better quality metal pins and you don’t have to cut them yourself if you go with with M2Cs

@EastTactics Right. Yeah, I had to learn the difference. M2C made their outputs convenient in that regard. I'm gonna use the stock output/drives in this new build until they break or wear out. Then I'll probably get M2C's. I got M2C's outdrives for my EXB diffs that I put into my M2C'd out 17lb Kraton, though. They, along with their driveshafts, are holding up to 8s power with a 1650 and now 1250kv 4092 motor like a champ. The Max 6 ESC runs cooler on 8s compared to 6s. More efficiency. So hopefully, 6s on the new, slightly lighter build with a spare Max 6 and 1730kv 4092 will be okay. It has been for R duperbash.

Always remember 31mm are 'Rtr' diffs witch are V1,2,3,4 and 5 unless stated that its an Exb witch are 29mm diffs. Exb Diffs have beefier internals and externals that includes the pins 😁

Might I add the pins and gears are already made of 4140 steel from factory, 31mm diffs Pins are 2.25mm dia, where as Exb's - 29mm diffs have 2.5mm pins for outdrive cups

Doesn’t look like they offer them anymore. Atleast for the new Keaton 6S EXB V2

They really only needed for the non-EXB diffs
These pins breaking is sort of a non-issue in the EXB V2
But for those running the old version, they’re still available:

All of my basher rigs have EXB diffs. Hopefully M2C comes out with better diff pins for the 6s EXB. And the. Input and output M2C cups are better than Vitavon. Ya know
