Glad we could work together! It was great having you at the shop!!!
LME to the top
LME is the best engine shop hands down up front and honest no cutting corners no bullshitt no games respect you guys 110% 💪🏽💪🏽
Amazing experience viewing your modern engine machine shop. Interesting to see how CNC machines are being used. I've always wanted to be a Engine Machinist. I've spent 28 years in the trade mostly job shops, mold shops and tool and die. Very hard to obtain a job in a engine machine shop. Hats off to you guys🥰
Nice place 👍😎 very cool
L
You can see and feel the man’s excitement about his business and craft through this video very cool. 🤙🏻
Hadn’t heard of LME until maybe a year or two ago. Mitchell Stapleton has a pretty good tour video he put out a year or so back, that was my first time seeing the shop. Their setup is definitely impressive! 👍
Right so this is the same shop ?
And I must say his tours and old school nascar tours/interviews are the best on yt hands down shout out to you Mitchell 👍🏽
@@anthonygibbo1881 Mitchell also has done (a couple) at Blueprint. Blueprint is where his big block came from.
@@niceguybille yeah I believe blueprint is where he "stole" a big block from
@@niceguybille oh yes that's that badass engine he got in the escalade that things gnarly as fk 😂
I was in the engine buisness 20 years and can tell that man looks at all the details, comes up with correct procedures to build consistent engines that last!
LME builds and makes some of the nicest engines and components hands down!!! Thanks for the tour!
I swear Jeff Lutz is absolutely EVERYWHERE!!! I swear it’s like he’s got some identical twins out there or something because he literally helps everyone and is with everyone 24/7!!!!! It’s suuuper impressive honestly and wish there were more people like Jeff out there. Absolute great dude and I’ve never heard anyone say a single bad thing about the guy and around a bunch of shot talkers that’s really saying something!!!
Larry Larson can’t stand Jeff Lutz. I watched the Chicago race and Larry Larson lied and said Jeff Lutz flipped the coin over and cheated on the coin flip.
I used to like Larry Larson now I think he’s a piece of Crap.
Jeff Lutz is a much better person than Larson will ever be. Jeff knows a shit ton about everything. Great guy.
Wasnt Jeff Lutz branded the Permatex bandit on YellowBullet when he used permatex instead of weld on a 25.3 cert chassis?
And wasnt he branded a crook on the same YellowBullet when he was working on a car for a guy named Heatley and brand new race engine parts were replaced with old and worn out ones?
And Best One Was the Kent Rose incident where Jeff Lutz supposedly sold illegal pills to Kents wife and got her hooked.........Theres a racer who recently was on Street Outlaws and on his laptop says Im a friend of Kent Rose...Thats a statement to Jeff Lutz and why Larry Larson really hates Jeff Lutz....LOL.. Even Bill Lutz knows how crooked Jeff is....LOL
The behind the scenes stuff is the best. Love seeing the process, I mean as a professional mechanic, I've built quite a few engines, but none to this level. Awesome.
A high quality shop is always very clean.
Glad to see ACTUAL facts in regard to blueprinting. After I worked for a top tier engine builder and learned what it entails, I cringe every time someone throws the term around. It is not a common procedure regular folks would do to their daily driver or low performance build because it is VERY labor intensive.
That’s so sick. Goals. Thanks for showing I’d never get to see this kind of quality without these kind of videos
Lutz and Ryan are going to take over the Race scene for sure
Pretty much already have
Idk about going to…. Between the two of them they have 50 years of racing experience! They took over the racing a loooong time ago! Some people are just getting into racing and learning who they are though and that’s awesome they have helped grow racing so much! Hopefully everyone does it in a safe manner though, especially if they are making hits on the street.
@@stevemcvay2220 not just the track, I'm talking about the industry and TV etc
Big thanks for a look behind the wizards curtain to Ryan and LME for the show and explanations. really cool for us home grease monkeys to see also.
One of the best engine shop tours I’ve seen in a long time! So cool! What a great shop!
Ryans little Elf running around in the background, touching everything is perfect
Good to see you in my hometown and hope you got some good food while you guys were here!
Amazing craftsmanship
He knows everything from start to finish
Not most owners do

Thank you
Super cool look into a fabulous engine build shop.
Houston Strong! What an incredible shop.
It's so awesome seeing you work with LME. We used LME for a trophy truck 416 ls3 build. Beat the freaking hell out of it. Never left us stranded in Baja. Thanks to the guys at LME.
Ryan is the top dawg on the planet. he gets to handle, buy, sell or trade more racing parts than ive ever seen. BUT, he dont know shit about the machining and why they machine anything. he just always says yea, cool neat and other big words. lol u still the man Ryan
As a mechanic and business owner I also have air conditioning in my engine shop even in Michigan my main reason is that most sealer's need to be at certain temperature in order to setup correctly and to keep my employees happy lol.. Bob.. Hard core performance Houghton lake Michigan we specialize in the power sports business side of things SXS, ATV, PWC, snowmobiles, boats,
Wow, you and d have the same comment
@@Steve_Hayden not sure who this other guy is or why he copied my response but he's definitely not the owner of HCP in Michigan because my family has owed it since 1979 he must be some kind of scammer
@@Steve_Hayden check his page out he's some kind of comment hunter and has people copy others comments and post as his own to get more people to go to his page that he says he bought for some reason not sure just not cool that he claims to be me and owner of my family owned business that my family has owned since 1979 !!! The real Bob is standing up and it's me not this D the scammer!!
@@bobc8694 While, if that's the case, his name suits him. He is a real D.
For sure it's just crazy to me how some people are now of days I just don't understand why someone would copy someone else's comment
You see this is what America is about if you have a dream and you work hard you can easily exceed your dreams God bless America
Thanks again for the video!!!!!
You can tell he really cares about his finished product and has put a ton of time it to try to really make a great product. As a tool and die maker I really appreciate this video and the attention to detail they go to.
Man I love this. This is what I do on a daily basis. I run Haas milling and lathe but I’m not fortunate enough to run engine components. I machine a wide variety of industrial used parts. Thanks for the video!!!!
LME makes some bad ass Engines I remember when they did the LS versus Coyote shoot out and he bring A LS motor that stomped the Coyote motor It was more than a 100 horsepower difference And they had set guidelines on how each engine was built
They had to make rules like average power and power/ci just so it was a little closer. Its hard to look at the results and be neutral when the ls numbers were so huge
On stock head bolts too lol
Nice video guys...One cool machine shop!
Great video very noligble guy great explanation of process of machine work and nice clean facilitie cleanliness is definitely key.
Sounds like he would be a good person to work for. That's a nice shop!
Ryan and Jeff make such a good Team! Both are Masters at the Race Game! Amazing Combination of Old School and Newer School! 😆
It’s absolutely amazing what a machine can do over manual labor today. Back when I was building motors we had almost none of this at our fingertips. I can remember weighing rods & pistons on a gram scale and then grinding and sanding to get everything to weigh the same. Then we had a funny little balancing trick to make sure each end weighed the same on ever rod. I won’t even try to explain how we made sure the pistons weighed the same from side to side.
All by hand made with machines and grinders we made up.
This was back in the late 60’s an early 70’s . When I was over 20 years old!!!
Nice job guys man you weren't kidding when you said that place is clean enjoyed the tour guys keep up the awesome work 💪 💯
I appreciate the tour! Bad boy shop!
Happy to see you're pushing the performance level to stay on top!
Having worked in a high performance engine shop for years back in the 80s /90's when everything was more a manual process, I can appreciate the significant thought and and technology they have included to reduce issues. I always build my own engines, but if I was ever to buy one off the shelf then these guys would definitely be on a short list.
thanks for the ride along Brian ... that shop is amazing n informative...the host is a terrific guy!!!!! again thanks Brian!!!🤗🤗
Bad ass video...can’t wait to see the finished car making licks🤙🏽
Incredible Machine Shop to watch !. So happy to know there are bunch of Knowledge and Technology going on the Shop ! 💪👍
I love how his dumbing it down to Ryan who then dumbs it down for us perfect
Thanks Ryan that's a very clean machine shop that's the type of place that anybody that needs a motor built if they go to that much trouble to keep the shop clean then you can on them to do a awesome job on your engine. Thanks for taking me along on the tour. As always be safe 👍
Awesome job!
Cool video. They have a bunch of CNC machines. Big $$ invested there!
Great video makes me wish I would have paid more attention in high school auto motive shop class. I now have a 2007 LS motor needs to be redone but Texas is a little to far to send it. But this was a great video what I did learn in school this video showed me that I paid some attention. Because I did understand some of what they were explaining.
Thanks to Ryan and LME for the tour.
Ryan sounding like the guys from the tv show STORAGE WARS😭😭 yep, yeah, yep, yeah!
Thanks for the run down great video
I’ve ran Frankenstein heads on my Ls in the past, I may have to give LME a look next time I’m in the market
Great Vid !! Very cool to see the machining process!!
I miss working in an engine machine shop, LME is nice! A/C is not a luxury it is essential!
HELL YEAH BROTHER right down the street from my work here in H-TOWN
Another great video! Congrats on winning in Chicago, too!
There's a reason why Ryan's number 1 he puts in so much time and work
Amazing Ryan ! Great Job !
Have to say I enjoyed this video and the great work by Ryan's team and LTE.
Great tour and insight to what an engine facility should be. Thanks
Great video. Very good machining and assembly info.
Eye opening!!!! What an amazing facility.
Beautiful work...they have some nice products for sure
nice shop... great vid.
Always love watching your guys's videos keep them coming you guys rock do they do motors besides LS and all that interested in them because they do good work up until
Great video, thanks!
Really a very nice machine shop. Great machine work being done.
Awesome, thanks for this video
Great video thanks
Man what an awesome guy, super knowledgeable
LME has some innovative stuff going on!!! Very nice!
👍👍👍 HTOWN, BABY..
Awesome video guys. Thank you
I see a pilot for a new Car show with Ryan as the host.
It's been filmed now with Mr Lutz.. some seriously fast and bad ass cars if this two are involved
Awesome video Ryan. Thanks
This is fantastic insight. When you factor in the cost of time, effort, skill, people, equipment and paying for a place to put it all, it seems like they are not charging enough for each engine. With the quality they put out, there is definitely a ton of value in there. At 400 engines per year, they must be cutting it close on profitability......
Very informative video. Thanks to Rayan and LME for the video!
Thanks Ryan great video very interesting
Great shop to work with obviously.
Some of the baddest Chevys in the world built right there!🇺🇸🇺🇸💪💪
Man I’ve gotta say, I’ve seen a you tuber your LME before and not go into this detail. To the entire Fireball team I appreciate the video. Been thinking about swapping a 1500 single cab to a small block and LME will be high on the list. Local to you guys in Norman and this kind of stuff excites me! Appreciate the time and effort you guys put into this one.
Funny looking flywheel caught my attention actually

Lol, did you and Bob write out your comment together?
Why did you copy my response because you are not Bob the owner of HCP in Michigan I am what's up with that you must be some kind of scammer?
Wow! Very informed video
On your talk about CNC milling machines....Let me educate you a lil...My dad was in the machine shop industry for 52yrs and he did work for Ithaca Acquistions aswell as the gov't and I strictly remember his shop having 5 axis milling machines I think were made by Kitamura to do brakerods for jets aswell as pylons..These machines were able to change tooling automatically too and if you were born after 1980 thats why youre so in the dark about how long theyve been around....
This was great
Those Hurco milling centers are amazing
Great video guys
I like that Ryan knows the answers to every question before he asks it lol
👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽 that place is awesome
Interesting
Martin knows his shit 💯💪
Shout out to javi and the help too. 😁👍
Drag week.... sick week says it all.
Bro that was bad ass.
That was cool
I can’t even imagine working in a machine shop without AC in Houston in the summer. And I live in central CA where summer days are routinely above 100 F. But our heat is dry unlike the swamp weather down in Houston.
What up Ryan 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah and Houston it gets pretty muggy and hot so I guess without the air on by the time they assembled the motor it should be all warmed up LOL
That is absolutely awesome! Hey Ryan what are you putting your LT in? And what LT engine are you getting?
Wow!
you should see tkm that is a clean shop!!!
It took me all winter to port and polish a set of small block steel heads on my days off back in the early seventies with a Dremel flex shaft moto flex tool. And the bastard that did a valve job stole them and left me with a set of shitty heads with cracks between the valves. I wanted to murder that so and so...
Bryan and the crew at LME built a LT 416 for me last year for my 16 Camaro that made 680 HP in his shop. I didn’t get it running last year because I was waiting on parts for the fuel system. I’m building the car now and should have it running in a few weeks. Can’t wait, it’s still a 6 speed car with twin precision 6466’s.
Love ❤️ it
What an education on how to build an engine!
