I pray to the stars that you find a way and enough parts to resurrect shocker in a new way that can be competitive with these 4:20 "street cars" like the murder nova, I'm sure she needed updates to stay competitive. You two are the only reason I ha e decided to build another car. 3rd gen of course. 😉

Wow Kye, thank God no-one was injured or worse. So sorry about Shocker, I've cheered for that car many, many times. We as fans sitting fat and happy in our living rooms often forget just how dangerous drag racing is because you guys make it look so easy. Thus today we are painfully reminded that in the "blink of an eye" so many things can go horribly wrong. Stay safe and keep it on the gray part.
When you hit any type of moisture on a street with slicks on the car not much he could do even if he did back off the car would have done the same thing. He had no traction even if he tried

Missed seeing Shocker due to rain in NC. It was vs. Daddy Dave. Always loved a 3rd gen. Sucks for the loss but David to walk without a scratch after seeing it. True blessing. Glad your able to build Shocker back up and keep some parts. I know it will dominate the streets for sure!

@ Falcore, I like Kye too and yes, the Shocker IS the most famous 3rd Gen but, I’d say the Crow and the Murder Nova are the most famous “ street cars”. That’s NOT throwing any shade at Kye or the Shocker. I just think given that both of those cars were out in the public first, and Kye and the Shocker didn’t turn up on tv until season 3 or 4, they were already in the public consciousness when Kye showed up. Now, that said when Chief couldn’t get around Shocker the first 3 times on the street, it elevated Kye and the Shocker tremendously. Sad that not only the Shocker but many other legendary cars have been destroyed in the last 3 years.
@@timothynalley7802 chief and dave couldnt beat Kye though. shocker was the black knight. the terror of the 405 for years no matter what they did they just couldnt beat kye.
@ Sarah Reigns , Dave got Kye once at the pad in the Sonoma by a bumper, but your right, Chief and Dave couldn’t get around that car on the streets for a LONG time! I’m pretty sure that the very first win Chief got against Kye was the big Bristol race a few years ago. I remember in the NPK race at Bandimere that Chief won a couple of years ago, he said Kye got him all 3 times on the street but he had beaten Kye 3 in a row on the track. Since then, they went back and forth a couple of times on season 1 of America’s list. When Kye initially showed up on the original show and beat Chief then Dave, imo it was the Chief Kye rivalry that really helped elevate both cars. I was said when the OG Crow got totaled and I hate to see this happen to the OG Shocker. Both cars are now legendary for sure

I just got into chatting with you recently Kye and I feel honored to share in ur life. I'm sure you can't discuss the crash but reminds me of my crash at the Texas Motorplex back in 90 and the metal can always be replaced but you can't my friend . Sometimes you guys make it look easy as some have said for us watching from home . But in the seat I felt in my crash that my car was so user friendly that when ur one handing it on top end and beu G a brake racer I was on the hard and the bump on top end going from concrete to asphalt upset the chassis and the rest was history in the semifinal. So you are great and have lots of support as look at where your at! Great job and sorry for the loss but your good is where it's at !

Man that sucks, glad everyone was ok and walked away. Definitely a hard lesson learned. It sucks bc it’s at your expense but showing a video like this and seeing what type of carnage that may become from a situation might SAVE a life down the road for somebody else. I’m sure people see you guys on tv and an event and think you guys are unstoppable. This might keep people at bay and keep the reality real that this stuff is dangerous no matter what speeds or car setup. Could be a newbie in a civic saying hey I’m going to do a drive by first. I’m sure shocker and the crow are up there in race car heaven duking it out already. Good advice from another car youtuber TJ Hunt, “keep moving forward”.

Kye. I'm sorry for the loss of shocker. I remember finding out early that morning but didn't know all details of what happened just knew you weren't in the car. Then finding out a day later it was David and me messaging you on Facebook praying that David was OK and telling you how sorry I was. I was in such a state of shock to see the car a few months back. Still seeing it in the video shakes me up but this is what we love to do and what we signed up for. I'm so glad David walked away unscaved for the most part. Glad you were able to focus on going and doing what you did this season after all this. Swapping cars, engines, getting showstopper ready, competing on the street and actually doing well. Yes you didn't finish in the top but considering everything you went through you did damn good. "Including David" Also congrats on the new 2 shockers coming to a street and track near you. As the saying goes. There's a blessing/positive out of every negative and yours are coming soon. Congrats on your win at VMP and going b2b. Can't wait to see you dominate this year. It was great being able to see you again when you were in Florida and I hope next year I will be a little bit more stable on my feet and hopefully be able to see you at a few races. It's a testament to the quality of equipment that racers are using these days. I have seen some crazy crashes watching Street Outlaws and everyone has came away with their lives. Both wrecked racing 1/4 mile at Racecity in Calgary Alberta Canada on July 23 1997 both cars completely wrecked and racing ended for my family. The fire is still on me, only money holds me back. I can actually say I got to see that car in person at Shadyside and that makes me happy to know that I at least got to see the legendary shocker go down the track. That was one badass car and it will definitely be missed

But in the seat I felt in my crash that my car was so user friendly that when ur one handing it on top end and beu G a brake racer I was on the hard and the bump on top end going from concrete to asphalt upset the chassis and the rest was history in the semifinal. So you are great and have lots of support as look at where your at! Great job and sorry for the loss but your good is where it's at !

Sorry for the loss. The fans loved this car! I could see the emotion in your voice as you talked about the car. Not sure what your plans for the wreckage is but would be cool to take whatever is left and sell fans bits of the shocker so the whole world can cherish a part of her. Man that sucks, glad everyone was ok and walked away. Definitely a hard lesson learned. It sucks bc it’s at your expense but showing a video like this and seeing what type of carnage that may become from a situation might SAVE a life down the road for somebody else. I’m sure people see you guys on tv and an event and think you guys are unstoppable. This might keep people at bay and keep the reality real that this stuff is dangerous no matter what speeds or car setup. Could be a newbie in a civic saying hey I’m going to do a drive by first.
I’m sure shocker and the crow are up there in race car heaven duking it out already.

Kye. I'm sorry for the loss of shocker. I remember finding out early that morning but didn't know all details of what happened just knew you weren't in the car. Then finding out a day later it was David and me messaging you on Facebook praying that David was OK and telling you how sorry I was. I was in such a state of shock to see the car a few months back. Still seeing it in the video shakes me up but this is what we love to do and what we signed up for. I'm so glad David walked away unscaved for the most part. Glad you were able to focus on going and doing what you did this season after all this. Swapping cars, engines, getting showstopper ready, competing on the street and actually doing well. Yes you didn't finish in the top but considering everything you went through you did damn good. "Including David" Also congrats on the new 2 shockers coming to a street and track near you. As the saying goes. There's a blessing/positive out of every negative and yours are coming soon. Congrats on your win at VMP and going b2b. Can't wait to see you dominate this year. It was great being able to see you again when you were in Florida and I hope next year I will be a little bit more stable on my feet and hopefully be able to see you at a few races. It's a testament to the quality of equipment that racers are using these days. I have seen some crazy crashes watching Street Outlaws and everyone has came away with their lives. Both wrecked racing 1/4 mile at Racecity in Calgary Alberta Canada on July 23 1997 both cars completely wrecked and racing ended for my family. The fire is still on me, only money holds me back. I can actually say I got to see that car in person at Shadyside and that makes me happy to know that I at least got to see the legendary shocker go down the track. That was one badass car and it will definitely be missed
