You should try putting charcoal between your screen and substrate, it really helps keep the enclosure clean. Springtails would also be a good addition to help keep things clean

My first thought was that this is CRIMINALLY small, so glad this is a temporary enclosure 😅 so many people have pets (that naturally live in an entire forest or ocean or lake or tree) crammed into cute tiny cubes or tanks. Like Betta fish in those one gallon round bowls. It's like condemning you to live in a small bedroom that you can never leave.

Do geckos like small spaces ? I don't know much about reptiles. Noticed lots of channels have small enclosures while others have large ones for the same specie.

From my experience, smaller geckos can be put into a smaller tank until they get bigger. Leopard geckos prefer spaces with less height and more length, while crested geckos prefer taller enclosures, as crested geckos like climbing. Not too sure about many other geckos, though.
