Love this game! Whoever made those attitude control animations and effects as well as the camera was a f**king Wizard!!! To date it is the most beautiful space game for me. Could watch those ships all day. So beautiful
Same here. I found this game purely by accident in a video game store when it first came out and it ended up being the game I've loved the most. I still play it to this day. The remastered version on Steam is nice. And you're right, I could just watch those ships slowly dance around each other all day, too. I even track the energy shells as they leap from me to them. So gorgeous. And switching to the fighters POV with those laser lattices eveywhere... Amazing that this was made 15 years ago, and nothing like it has ever been made since. Some kinda come near it, but none are like it.
@@billyheaning If you liked this game, there's a Facebook group for it you can join and discuss the game along with other fans. Yes, it's sad that this game was more or less unique and nothing like it has been made since, not even a sequel.
@@Bogdan221192 Yes, this game belongs to a rather niche genre, and unfortunately the devs didn't reach enough people for the crowdfunding campaign to succeed. If they tried again, would you financially support the development of the sequel?
Easily one of my top ten favorite games of all time and such an underrated jewel at that. It is highly unfair that Nexus just came and went without making much of a dent; most of the possible fanbase never even knew about it. I played it back in the 00s and was amazed how it managed to slip under the radar. The best part is the excellent storydriven gameplay, with narrative cutscenes worthy of the finest sci fi movie scripts.
I have completed the game for at least 5 times already, and still amazed with the story. My favorite part was when Angelwing entered the wormhole near Pluto (Alpha gate) for the first time, and found out that Noah's Ark actually survived :-D
I will be the first to say it, I absolutely despise Vice Admiral Norbank. Arrogant, callous, prideful, and disrespectful towards someone who is trying to do their damn job.

I agree. Also one of the hardest games to play.

I haven't seen a game or a movie better than this game, and it's 2023. Simply unmatched!

This game being the prequel to imperium galactica is by far one of the many space games way ahead of its time back then.
This game needs an actual movie. Great story.
Not if Netflix get it dirty hand on it, caz whatever they touch they destroy !
Well more like a tv series since there is a lot of details that a single could not be able to cover
57:40 You can, if you are good enough, destroy one of the further out ships for a medal. A real try hard thing though.

Wow, I think this counts as a longplay. If you like this game, have you considered joining the group for this game on Facebook?
+Mazryonh I didn't even know there was a facebook group. This is my favorite space rts game of all time though.
