That was a beautiful video boys;quite stunning. I do not mean to sound condescending in any way, but I am so proud of you guys that you have chased and caught your dream. I started sailing when I was seven in Mirror dinghy's back in the day when they were new. At primary school we had to write a story about what we were going to do when we grew up. Mine was about getting a boat and setting off to sail the world. I am an old man now and failed, but you didn't. Embrace all of it; including the calms. Well done you two and thanks for letting me live my dream with you.
That was absolutely beautiful Cousin Jack. We also learnt to sail sailing mirror dinghies in Cardiff yacht club back in the day. Ah memories ☺️. It is an absolute pleasure to have you along with us for the adventure!! This is exactly why we make these videos. Thank you Jack😁⛵
Great to see ya'll enjoy yourself even though you didn't have no wind on the first few days, now you've got the wind don't worry you will catch a fish, the ocean looks great guy's happy sailing across the Atlantic into Great weather 👍
Hey Winston. Thanks very much buddy 👍. Although we were be calmed we made the most of it. The vast Atlantic Ocean is incredible, nothing around but deep blue ocean
Luke/Adam, the small fish underneath your boat are called Sargent Majors! When you see a line of weeds, Sargasso, you will probably have the fish called Dolphins, not Flipper but either a Bull or a Cow! Fantastic fresh eating! Time to catch the Christmas Wind!! ⛵🇺🇸
So we could have eaten those fish! We did see large patches of Sargasso. I was saying to Luke, I bet there's good fish in there! We are going to sail up the east coast of the states in the summer to Canada ⛵
Not the Shargent Majors but the Bull/Cow dolphins are white meat and exstreamly delicious! Fishing in the Caribbean is just down right disappointing BUT in the Bahamas not only is the fishing fantastic but you just have to indulge in CONCH, Conch salad, conch fritters and deep fried too! Conch is white and it takes time to knife out these conchs from their shells. Speaking of the conch shells they are a true take me home shell!! Don't eat any fish that the flies won't land on, true!!! ⛵🇺🇸
Absolutely brilliant love watching your vids and can’t wait till I’ve learned to sail and get out there myself …Im addicted to sailing vids and am halfway through all your posts …keep up the good work and safe voyage wherever you travel
Hi Sime, we hope you can learn and get out on the water soon if you go to your local yacht club and ask around I'm sure somebody will be more than willing to take you out on the open seas, thanks for the kind words
Great episode. Fabulous sunset shots. When you're making bread, if you tap it and it sounds hollow, usually that's when it's done. Did you know, as long as you buy a decent brand, tinned fruit, vegetables and meat have the same or better nutritional and vitamin content than a lot of the "Fresh" produce.
Thanks for the tips Phed Rob! We were eating a lot of tinned fruit vegetables and meat during the passage, more so towards the end. Pretty good eating 😋
Once again lads, fantastic. We have wind, we have wind, I'm not surprised you have wind with that diet of cheese with everything. Lol Keep going loved it.
Never ever seen such footage of Mahi mahi before on UA-cam, excellent lads, the bread making made me laugh 😂 so jealous keep living your dreams👍 your doing an excellent job with the videos keep rowing, excellent humour👍
I can’t wait until you two put a vlog up, and this vlog is amazing, the start of a journey of a life time, I have said before I am so envious of the pair of you, not just the Atlantic crossing but sailing around the uk too, only something most probably dream about, stay safe and enjoy every moment of this adventure. PS the bread rolls looked to good to eat 😉😁.
Thank you so much Philip 😁. It's been a crazy year sailing around the UK and now crossing the Atlantic Ocean. But we couldn't have done any of this without you guys! Thank you ⛵😁. Ps the bread was delicious
Great passage! They say the tradewinds were most unusual this year. The Transquadra racers (France to Martinique via Madeira) took a much more northerly route but had tough conditions, so best to play it safe 😎 ! Loved your bread making, which the warm weather turned into a great success! 👍
The TradeWinds haven't been as reliable this year. France to martinique, now that's a passage!! There's something about freshly baked bread on a boat ⛵😁
Fun video Adam and Luke. Loved the bread making course! Our worst day at sea was 13 miles! Used to make bread every morning. Don’t get too frustrated, enjoy your time on the ocean. Fair winds, have fun.

You guys are so enthusiastic it's infectious a very inspiring ocean crossing so far and the highlight of the week. Ps the wife said you need to clean your mugs 😃
Great video, loved the swimming. You boys are living the dream. Think you should get a gaff hook so you can land the big fish!! 😉 Keep going, great channel 👍👍.
Driving across Cardiff this morning I was stuck behind an Asda van. It made me think of you and how things have changed. Thank you for your excellent videos btw .
Another brilliant video!!! Cant wait for the next. As always, brilliant camera work and natural, candid footage. Loved all of it - the bread, the fear of sharks (I relate to that), being beclamed etc. So looking forward to the next part. Strange as it may seem, I am 'saving' the question video until after I have seen the whole journey!!!!
Great footage guys Loved Part 1. we used to catch those giant bull Mai- Mai back in the 80's doing delivery crossings recall one night be-calmed all in dress shirt & ties eating beer battered Mai Mai fish n chips english style ( not Welsh) lol. Lukes Cookery class funny as F$..Keep up the good vids inspirational stuff. .
Thanks Mark. Beer battered Mai Mai sounds absolutely delicious 😋. I suppose someone has got to do the yacht deliveries across the Atlantic. Luke spilt half of the mixture over himself 🤣🤣
Another great video. Incredible stuff. Even cooking bread! Looking forward to the tattoo 😁 surely your both going to get your logo done.😉 Good luck, enjoy and stay safe.
Another great video a bread making cookery course too Loved the swimming too so funny and completely bonkers that's why we enjoy your adventures love mum nigel tommy xxxx
So many enjoyable parts to this video, too many to comment on them all! The swim, the bread, the paddles, but your excitement and enthusiasm was a joy to watch. Have a look at ' Bake with Jack ' channel for breadmaking ideas. Luke could do Baking with boxers.
17:33 such an honest moment of a dream realized. 5000m of ocean. Awesome. Later. "How much flour do you think? " "That will be enough I guess...." Too funny.
Such an entertaining episode boys! The sunset shots were breathtaking, and the open water swimming looked amazing. And when Luke punched his bread roll...hilarious!
My word lads, look at that weather your having, its freezing in blighty your on a long free holiday. You need to do this every uk winter time. I'm really pleased for you lads, look at those smiles on your faces. Well done.
I know Graham, we are extremely lucky to be able to experience this. It's an absolute pleasure sharing the adventure with you all. Everyone should spend the winter out of the UK! 😎

Fantastic boys you are doing brilliant even baking bread on the ocean. I hope you are enjoying the journey as much as I am watching the two of you do it! GREAT fun GREAT entertainment . Take care and a safe journey.
Thanks very much for your fantastic comments John. The bread turned out pretty tasty although a little hard 😜 it's a privilege to share out adventures with you all
Once again Luke and Adam your pushing the content/production of your vlogging . Really enjoying your take of sailing across the Atlantic. And there's more keep it coming always building the content so enjoyable well done. Fair winds and all that comes your way enjoy Cheers Robin
Thank you for such a lovely comments Robin ⛵😁👌. We have come a long way since episode 1 of the UK circumnavigation. Hopefully we will never stop with the content
Really loved this episode. The sunset you captured so well ,was the best I've ever seen. Its good to see how you dealt and occupied yourselves when becalmed, and so entertaining to watch. Thank you
YOu need a rod and reel, heavy duty line, a wire trace from hook to line and A GAFF to get big fish aboard. You should trail a lure all the time to subblement
We have upgraded some of our fishing gear now. Got a trolling reel 25kg fishing line and lots of lures. We are still using a kayak rod at the moment. We will buy a trolling rod once we save a bit of money. PS I have now made a Gaff
brilliant lads nice bread 😁 do you get a feeling of how small you are how massive the ocean is during the crossing ?plenty of wind back here at home as you probably know ,wish you could catch some more fish ,time to get the rods out, hope you both taking your time around the islands enjoying the moment, stuff that dreams are made of and your living it 😁
We feel like a speck in the ocean while crossing such a large area of water. We kept an eye on the weather, you had it pretty bad in the UK. We have a graded our fishing gear now, hopefully we can catch more fish 🐟🎏. We are living every moment ⛵😁
Such great memories you have, and now sharing some with us .What made me larf, was the comments about the wind, having having had spag bol the night before 🤣🤣 I had the feeling that you were going to tow the boat in the tender, when becalmed, to make some way and get some exercise. I can't wait for the next episode. Thank You Adam and Luke the Baker. Kind Regards, Barnacle Bern SY Cadbri SW Wales. ⛵👍👍
Hay Bernie! Nice to hear off you. These memories will last a lifetime. Spag bol produces a lot of wind 🤣🤣. We could have towed Atlas with the tender and outboard. This episode seems to be going down really well, we are very pleased 😁
fresh bread get some cheese on it when you get to Martinique buy a fishing rod pissing around with line no wonder they come off great vid really enjoyed it cheers
You are living the DREAM thanks for sharing, you are both very natural on these videos. Hope the cheese lasts. Good to see some wind, hope it lasts . Be safe lads. 🥃🥃
There's a lot of youtubers either in the Caribbean or heading there. You two will have so much fun... Te bread looked fine... Be nice with a slither of Mahi mahi on there...
You two have absolutely no idea what your adventures means to us armchair sailers, some can only dream of doing what you are doing. The both of you have inspired many, through your videos, and Facebook pages, to take the plunge and get sailing again, and some of us to start sailing for the first time. Brilliant stuff from start to finish. Keep up the excellent adventures. Stay safe and fair winds to you both. PS: One thing I have noticed, that both of you are getting some decent suntan now.
Thank you so much Chris for such lovely comments⛵👍. We just love to share our adventures with everyone. Without you all the channel would not exist! It's a fantastic feeling to have inspired people to start sailing. We have never been so bronze 😁⛵
Great one guys, you two were so excited to leave. Frustrating when there is no wind but you weren’t in a hurry. We didn’t get to see you sample the bread, what was it like? Masterchef here you come! Andy UK
We were incredibly excited to start the Atlantic crossing Andy. It was a little frustrating being becalmed but it gave us a chance to go for a swim and relax. The bread was absolutely delicious although a little hard 🤣
That was a big Maui Maui sheesh wish you guys could have hooked into that one...👀👀🐟🐟🎣🎣👍👍 Maybe having a diving lure would have been a good thing to have ready for that opportunity. Drop it down a bit in front of him and rip it towards the boat... Their feeding frenzy can get triggered that way.. and if there are others around that will also drive them to compete for the bait too which can mean some serious fun :)
It was very big, would have made a couple of meals out of that. I think we are going to pick up some diving lures. We didn't notice the faster we travelled the more likelihood of catching the fish, they just love the chase 😜😁👌👍😎
Thank you everyone for the fantastic comments they are a joy to read 😊

Bread making was brilliant. I don’t laugh at much, but I did at this! What a highlight. My favourite UA-cam channel
The bread turned out fantastically well to be honest, tasted lovely, your favourite UA-cam channel we are very honoured
Your excitement and enthusiasm is inspiring.
I think we are a little mad 😜
Brilliant Lads. I love the fact that you’d not been abroad before starting this epic voyage, you’re discovering the world the way are ancestors did..
We grew up going on holiday in the caravan in West Wales 😁. This is all new to us
Was pissing myself when the bread mix went everywhere & the pan sliding all over the place 🤣 Projects look extra fun on a boat 🤣
We had a good laugh about it Mish🤣🤣. It makes it more interesting on a moving boat
You need a regular segment. Called "DELICIOUS with Luke and Adam!"
Now that would be delicious 😋😁
A couple of top blokes sailing their boat across the Atlantic - great stuff!
Thanks very much Rich ⛵⛵⛵
You need carrier landing lights for your boat for the birds to make night landings!! 🤣😂🤣😂👍👍
🤣🤣🤣 to right Thoughtful Wander
So good! The sunset shots while becalmed. "I feel like I'm on TV!" and then SPLASH. I was on the floor. Keep going. Your adventure is awesome.
Thank you so much for your comments Edward, it made us laugh 🤣🤣⛵
Got your game faces on and ready for anything the blue can throw at ya!! Be safe guys!! excellent video!! 👍👍👊👊⛵⛵
We were certainly ready for this one! It was a fantastic start besides the becalming. It's absolutely fantastic out there 👍😎😋🍞
Can't help thinking there's some big wind coming and you'll be wishing for flat calm. Great bread .
I think we would rather have light spinnaker winds than 35 knots 😳. Life on board would be difficult
Excellent way to pass the time, by making fresh bread and also very funny to watch. Can't wait until next week for the next video,.
Thanks Lee. The bread turned out pretty tasty but it did look like rock cakes 🤣
Oh my gosh I love that you guys made bread without any fancy kitchen appliance, and it looked delicious!
Just made it up as we went along Kim 😂. It was absolutely delicious

Your best episode yet I think - really engaging and those Maui-Maui shots made a nice change from the dolphins you always get on sailing channels.
Wow thank you very much indeed David. It was so cool to see those fish close-up next to the boat on a pond like Atlantic
Very Very nice Video thank you so much for sharing 😂👍👍👍👍👍🖐

Excellent lads, the big push, great job........for future, bigger fish, you need a 'gaff' hook to bring them onboard.
Thanks Ray 👌😎. I have now made a Gaff
Fantastic episode gents - the cookery segment had me in stitches. I want to see more cooking (and wind of course!).
Haha thanks it was a lot of fun and messy, thanks for watching and your fantastic comment 😊😊⛵⛵🧀🧀

What a great bread experiment. Bread is like chemistry in that the proportions of the ingredients and the timing of the method can produce vastly different results with what seem like small variances. We feel like a speck in the ocean while crossing such a large area of water. We kept an eye on the weather, you had it pretty bad in the UK. We have a graded our fishing gear now, hopefully we can catch more fish 🐟🎏. We are living every moment ⛵😁
Awesome stuff
😁⛵👍
We have recently upgraded our fishing gear now Dave. A new you trolling reel lots of lures and 25 kg fishing line.
You are living the DREAM thanks for sharing, you are both very natural on these videos. Hope the cheese lasts. Good to see some wind, hope it lasts . Be safe lads. 🥃🥃
Thank you very much Harry. We are living the dream and we are very lucky! It's fantastic to share the adventure. Will the cheese last?? 😁😁⛵
This is the bit ive been waiting for, thanks lads im addicted to ur journey
Thanks Cook on denton 🤙
Really glad you enjoyed the episode
There's a lot of youtubers either in the Caribbean or heading there. You two will have so much fun... Te bread looked fine... Be nice with a slither of Mahi mahi on there...
Looked like an amazing start of your trip! I liked the bit when you took the bread out of the oven and started tapping it :) Fair winds!
It was a fantastic start Szymon. Luke does some crazy things 🤣😂
Love it guy's. Cracking shots of sunsets.. And that massive mowie.. 💯💪✌️❤️🇧🇲⛵
Cheers Richard 😎. It was pretty magical
Awesome! I had a smile on my face from the opening shot to the end. Living your dream!

ATB Cheers john
Cheers John 👍. We have recently upgraded our fishing gear. Hopefully we can catch more fresh fish.
Cracking episode! What a fantastic experience being out there. Bet the depth sounder thought "what the hell, wheres the bottom."
Thanks Craig 👍⛵. The depth sounder log was completely useless. Where is the bottom??
Really great stuff. Not bad being becalmed on the Atlantic. The longer the better out there - enjoying a great experience. Well done!
@@TheSailingBrothers yep they sure do! 👍🎣👍🎣
