Hello all,
We are currently on an offshore passage to America, we will respond to all your comments when we get there
Thank you very much
Hope you all have a fantastic week
Luke and Adam
So glad you took the time to have a BBQ and enjoy an over priced drink😉
The BBQ was delicious but the drinks were crazy expensive 🤬
You may be the smallest but you are the bestist!
YES that's what we thought 😂
@@TheSailingBrothers Just read a report of a 66 foot / 20 M modern sailboat with crew of 4 in force 8 ( which you have been in), and were overwhelmed by huge loads of this large sloop with a 100 foot mast and the boom got loose due to a complex reefing system. It killed the captain and 1st mate. And 2 others helicoptered off. Boat abandoned. Sad, RIP. A proper small vessel with only one or preferably 2 on board are better off in many ways.
Nothing wrong with your boat she's amazing doing a great job. Atlas seems a beautiful SV even with a couple of pairs of pants flying in the wind. 21:25
We absolutely love Atlas she is a fantastic sailing boat even with her washing line 😂😂
Wow, how deep was that anchor, don't think my ears would stand that depth.
I think it was about 6 m
The simple pleasures...the swim...the fire....good cheer. small boat, small van, but great fun!
Best Wishes.
Proves you don't need to be a millionaire and have a giant catamaran to have fun 😁
@@TheSailingBrothers You proved it here with style. Atlas is probably much swifter and nimbler. Safe Journey.
Atlas is probably the best looking boat in the bvi...real boat really doing something. Everyone else round you just doing a Disneyland cruise. Great film guys and great heart going out to help those fellows. Legendary sailing brothers smashing it 👍👍
Atlas is a much prettier vessel than those big ugly catamarans. Some of them won't even wave back because they got more money than you. We spotted that boat, looked like he needed help. Was glad to sort their problems out 👍
Exactly! all those rental "caravans" will be sitting there jealous of you living the real sailing life. you sailed there on your own boat. they hitched a ride on a jet.
You have a proper sailing boat, a real beauty, and they have apartments that float. Savanah Bay - what a find, out of this world. Keep living the life! x
Atlas is a classic, heavy, strong sailing boat who will conquer the world. That bay was absolutely incredible 👌
Thank you for a day sail in the BVI, just a short holiday for us
Taking everyone around the world slowly 😁⛵
Boys! Kecks out at 21:00! I couldn’t focus on the scenery for that horrible view. 😂🤣😂. Awesome, keep taking us with you, kecks or not…
Going to start phasing out all the smalls hanging up on the rail, doesn't look that good 🤣🤣
omg! I was on the floor when you were discovering US money. Don't get used to it. It's super easy to spend here in America. Nice job on keeping an eye out for that other boat!
It definitely reminded us of Monopoly money Edward 😁😁. Was really cool to hold it in our hands. That poor guy definitely needed help! Atlas to the rescue
Fascinating, loved how clear the water is and your dive down to the anchor, interesting to see the night life and parties and how expensive, but you have to experience and enjoy it, your confidence in your beautiful yacht and yourselves is growing, stay safe and happy
Thank you very much indeed Harry. The islands are such beautiful places the water is crystal clear and the sailing is amazing. Atlas all the way!! ⛵😁
you are rich boys, rich in life, you don't need a big boat. another fantastic video.
Who needs a large expensive boat? We have Atlas ⛵😁
Living the dream boys. They were damn expensive drinks, but the memories they helped to cement in your minds are priceless. Safe sailing lads and thanks for the upload.
Overall all had a fantastic time in the BVI. Memories that will last a lifetime. Feel completely blessed to be able to share this 👌
Luke/Adam, sailors helping sailors, tradition of the sea!
Sail On!
⛵🇺🇸
We have to look out for eachother us sailors ⛵
I'm looks at the smiles on your faces, lads. Wish you well on your voyages. Enjoy just beautiful 😍
Thanks Graham 👌 The adventure has only just begun
Man, I'm just blown away by how blue that sea is. I never realised that when they talk about blue water cruising the water really is crazy blue.
The sea is extremely deep blue rich colour down in the Caribbean quite amazing
Fantastic again guys, wow what an adventure and its only just begun.......
Stay safe and enjoy the ride 👍
It's only the very start, hopefully we get to sale Atlas around the world 🌎
Enjoying watching you enjoying what you’re doing! Great episode. Be careful over in America - some places are much better than others!
That's perfect John. We love to share this adventure! We will keep our wits about us 👊
What a great blog I enjoyed every last minute of it. I am going to put my shorts on and some sun cream on just to put me in the holiday mood and watch it again.
I would not be envious of anybody else's boat because Atlas is doing everything that is making your dreams come true and having a hell of a time. Carry on
what your doing and have a good time. Remember !!! The drinks are not expensive your just poor like the rest of us. Take care boys.
Thanks John
😂😂😂 That's awesome, factor 50 mind! I would never trade Atlas in for anything else. Having the time of our lives out here and it's all thanks to you our friends. We are poor like the rest of you 😁
Top notch episode! Really puts the true costs of sailing in perspective. You may not have the most expensive boat but you sure do have a good reliable blue water yacht which is fun to sail and gives you all the satisfaction without the big maintenance costs of a larger boat. You boys have it in the bag.
Thanks Craig 👍. We absolutely adore Atlas and would never want to change her. She is the perfect boat for us and built like a tank. The older boats are characters
Atlas and crew were the best in the anchorage! Another great video. Thank you.
Thank you so much sailinglatis 🙏
Who needs loads of money to live your best life. I think you two are proving that everyday. You are rich in so many other ways. Great video 👍😊
Rich in freedom and adventures. Hopefully we can bring all of you around the world with us 🙏
Great episode guys. You are really making memories of a lifetime...
Memories that will last forever 🙏
True wealth can not be measured size of your catamaran or bank balance. It's about the experiences you collect along the way and the people you can call friends at the end of yhe day. Keep on collecting boys, you are probably the richest guys in the anchorage! Another great video, living the dream. 😀
That is very very true Darren. Some of the happiest people are the ones who own very little but are rich in happiness. Thanks very much Darren much appreciated 👌
What a great episode!!! I really needed that sunshine and stunning blue sea & sky as it's grey and damp back here in Wales.
This episode had a bit of everything. Really enjoyed making this one Jonathan. Thank you for your support 👊
Fantastic video lads. Well done on giving assistance, that was excellent of you
All in a day's work Brennig 👍
You guys are amazing well done
Wow, thank you so much 🙏
Nice one gentlemen … What’s it like? Hob-Knobbing with the rich and famous 👍🏻😁👍🏻
It's not all that great 😂😂. A few of them won't even speak to you because you're poor
Magic video guys, some wonderful places you visited. Great you helped that guy on his boat and now you have somewhere to visit when you get to his neck of the woods. Glad you arrived safely in the US. Stay safe. Andy UK
Hey Andy
Absolutely beautiful Islands, amazing sailing area. That poor guy on his boat with his wife were elderly. He just could not get his anchor up. Was stuck there bobbing around like a cork. Poor couple were tired and needed help. Had a fantastic package to the USA ⛵👌
Living the dream boys, beach bbq…that’s life 😉
It feels like we are living in a dream Matt 🤣
That conversation about the money was hilarious!
😁🙏
Enjoy your journey lads , wonder how many of those fancy boats have crossed the Atlantic like Atlas has ? Keep living the dream fair winds
Maybe only a handful John. There were lots of charter boats there. There was even a marina full of them! Atlas for the win ⛵
I love their fascination with the American currencies! I guess i have never experienced any British currencies myself, I'd probably be blown away by it just the same as they were to my national currency.
Thanks Landon 👍. We going seen american currency on television until now 😁
@@TheSailingBrothers Thats awesome, I am planning on visiting the British Islands when all the Covid rules die back a bit. I go to the US Virgin Islands quite a bit because some friends have a house there but because of the quarantine rules in the BVI I have yet to experience that! I can’t wait to be holding some British Pounds hahaha! Good luck with your adventures you two! You’ve earned my subscription!
Good spot on the yacht having difficulties and helping them out. It gives you a warm fuzzy feeling when you can help a stranger. Loving your appreciation and excitement when discovering new places and spending a fist full of dollars lol.
We were very concerned for the yacht as it looks very odd being out there bobbing around like a cork. Was really glad to help out and get them on their way. It's all part of this amazing adventure Ian 😁
fantastic episode you guys in your element visiting such cool places funny reaction to the dollars lol like your in a different country haha just shows how down to earth you guys are
Thanks Eddie 👍 we are in our element visiting amazing places on this incredible adventure. First time we have ever held dollars in our hands 😁
Guys well done. You showed real boat man ship by what you did helping out those fellow cruisers 👍👍
That’s what sailing is all about!
The sailing community always amazes me. That is the main reason why I absolutely love sailing
Well done again guys. Looking so forward to seeing your next video
Fair sailing 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
All sailors should look out for each other, it is a lovely community. We have met other cruises on our travels and always ends up having drinks and food on each other's yachts 😁. New video out today
Be assured guys your boat was likely the only one fully paid for at that anchorage. Hold your heads up high.
I rather spend time in your company than the owner of that super yacht anytime.
Thanks for another brilliant vlog!
Agree. also, how many of those boats actually hoist sails? Of the ones that do, how many have the balls and ability to cross the Atlantic?
Atlas and it's crew are the odd ones out, but in a good way.
You're probably right Frazel. Thank you so much for your comment it is really nice 👊 Atlas for the win
Thanks Paul🙏. A lot of them boats we see speeding around the islands on the engine
@@TheSailingBrothers
No worries guys. If you make it to the South Island New Zealand, Christchurch, I'll be waiting for you with a few beers and some cheese.
I’m loving your videos you really know your stuff. Fair winds and happy sailing
Years and years of experience Ian. Self-taught sailors ⛵
What fantastic places you are going . I love a bbq on the beach and what a beach to have it on . You both look like you are having the time of your lives . Keep the videos coming I’m loving them x
The British Virgin Islands with incredible. Amazing sailing and beautiful weather. That barbecue was epic except for all the flies! Having the best time 😎😁
you filming and your commentary are wonderful - real and down to earth. Thank you lads!
Thanks Pauleen 🙏 we really appreciate your words
Wow, what a great episode. I'm so glad you were able to help the Americans....and...how right you are. The cost of the BVI's is enormous...but great fun. Hope to see you both in the spring....My Best, David
Hey David 😁 the poor couple needed help and we were there to provide it, sailors looking out for one another. The BVI has beautiful sailing and amazing islands but you need very deep pockets 😜
So sincere and engaging. I've left my other channels because these fellows are indeed champs.
Wonderful video.
You didn't have to leave your other channels Musa! Now you are definitely making us blush 😂😂😂😂
Fantastic.
👊⛵⛵
Another great video guys! Thanks for sharing..
No worries Randy 😁
Great to see you boys having fun
Smallest boat but biggest hearts
Bet that party reminded you of Cardiff Bay on a Saturday night lol
Great vid plod on
Having the best time Rob. We were surrounded by massive catamarans. Sort of did reminders of Cardiff on a Saturday night 😁
We’ve sailed all around the BVI on a flotilla with Sunsail and loved it and it is nice to see it after the hurricane.
It is a beautiful place just wish it wasn't so expensive Tom
My mum always said "the best things come in small packages" so in that anchorage Atlas was definitely the best thing! And don't forget - no matter how rich the person on the next boat is or how massive their boat - you both have exactly the same view from your cockpit!
Your mother is right, the best things do come in small packages. Whether we're on a giant catamaran or lovely atlas we still look at the same things! 😁
Good stuff , keep it dogs.
Thanks Tony 🤘
Guys you are doing really well Keep up the good work and it is smart to take it easy on the grog,You might be surrounded by money but I bet most of them are not in your league when it comes to sailing you two are both captains
Thanks very much John! Won't be drinking at that price 😂. We may have a small boat compared but we have a lot of sailing experience
amazing videos lads keep them coming :)
We'll keep them going every Sunday 👍
Isn't it marvellous how an anchor can dig in (do they call it 'set'?) and then as the currents and tides change, the boat revolves in a circle round and round, yet the anchor stays set? My neighbour is a ship accident investigator and he told me it is the friction of the chain on the bottom that not only restricts a boat's movement, but keeps the anchor pivoted down horizontal. Without the chain few anchors would work anywhere near as well.
I'm 64 and just doing up my first sailing boat, a half century-old Halcyon 27 with a big old encapsulated lead keel for blue water cruising, not as nice as your boat but it hopefully will keep my cat and me safe. So many things I am curious about with sailing that you boys already know very well, I'm picking up good information from you every episode.
I think your trip is fantastic and I don't want to miss a moment of it, so thank you so much for all the trouble you go to filming it to these amazing TV documentary standards. It must take up most of your time editing, choosing beautiful music etc.
Also what could be better than travelling with your own brother! I would love that, but my poor bro Gareth is married to one of those women who barely allows him outside the back door to break wind, let alone go cruising. He and I went to Australia and New Zealand, and we had to keep it very short (only two weeks total) despite going all that way because his wife made out she was so 'distraught' that he went on holiday, and every night in their evening phone call she was wailing and crying, begging him to come home early and threatening to top herself. It ruined his trip, and she never lets him forget that he dared choose to go there with his brother, even though she didn't want to go as we were visiting friends in NZ. She won't talk to me any more as she sees me as public enemy number one. I haven't seen my bro for three years and he lives four minutes walk away.
Now listen up boys, this is private reading for you two alone, so everybody else please go away (nicely!) and maybe check you're subscribed properly or something.
Right then, I want to talk to you about the young ladies of the USA. American women are FAR better looking than our British girls, something to do with a wider ranged breeding field or whatever. There are way too few American men to go round, so the women are in hot competition for men. They do themselves up INCREDIBLY beautifully, gorgeous Italian blood often mixed with Eastern European or Hispanic blood, they become these irresistible human cocktails and you don't stand a snowball's chance in hell. Be on your guard every second of every day when you stray ashore as an American girl only has to hear your accent for a second and she is already choosing a wedding dress and texting her friends to get ready as she has a target firmly in her sights. "Oh my gahd I love your accent!".
I'm not kidding, they are utterly bloody beautiful, and totally lethal, and once you are in their sights you are a goner. I couldn't ever look in the mirror again (not that it's a nice experience when you look like I do) if I didn't warn you lovely boys, those American girls are so gorgeous, look after themselves so well, so beautifully sunkissed and they always make their hair look BEAUTIFUL, and you being wonderful Celtic gentlemen with perfect manners will find it difficult to refuse invitations to dinner or parties or 'dates' or whatever. You will be toast by the time they kiss you goodnight, and you boys will be squabbling over who uses the laptop to look for engagement rings. I cannot stress this enough as I had two and a half years amongst those goddesses and even I, as a half-man-half-toilet-brush exhausted myself 'dating' a string of absolutely stunning young ladies. You don't realise how much your accent will drive them cuckoo, and the fact that you aren't fat like so many American blokes will be nectar to them, so please be VERY careful and don't let the ravishing local girls destroy your hard-won freedom. I am deadly serious about this, your freedom is already horribly threatened, and they will be waiting at Key West or Savannah or wherever to lasso you with overwhelming femininity. It doesn't even feel like they are damaging you, but they will confiscate your liberty like it was just a bucket of sea mist. I wish I was there to help guide you and fend off these lovelies, truly I do. BE CAREFUL, ok? "Oh my gahd I love the way you tahk, and you guys are such gentlemen!".
Thanks so much for your message. We loved reading this. It is called set 😁 lovely boats the Halcyon 27, hope you get out on her soon. Sorry to hear about the issues with family, it can be difficult sometimes. Will keep an eye out for the American women 😁😁
Another great video and inspiration.
Just antifouled my boat in Cardiff so will be back in the water soon still have a very long to do list though.
Looking forward to seeing your next video
Fair winds boys.
Thanks so much Lee. Fresh coat of antifouling and ready to sail sounds perfect. Better crack on with that to-do list as it has a habit of getting longer
It sure has !! Especially on a 55yr old long keeler that's had a hard life by the looks of things.
Hey up guys, just watched ep63, another brilliant vid. Good samaritans at sea, nice one. Keep enjoying and take care.
Thanks very much Jeff. Really glad you enjoyed the episode! Sailors need to help other sailors
Great episode, you guys are really growing its so great to watch. Loved Luke's, "you want a quarter?" good impression.
Thanks Rob 👌 we are learning more about the world every day. Making the adventure videos is the best bit
As an American, watching you guys discuss the money was amazing! LOL. Great video gents 💪🏼
Thanks very much Theodore. Was a good laugh discussing the currency 😁
Well done lads, really enjoying your adventures.
Here in Scotland today it’s cloudy but 18c.
You must be having a heatwave! When we were sailing around Scotland last year it was cold and raining. In the south of the UK they were having that heatwave.
Your so correct, today it’s heavy rain, limited visibility with complete cloud cover , temp of 12c , 18 mph Wind from South.
This weather is forecast for next week?
Great job helping out the sailors in need!! 👍👍👏👏
We all have to look out for each other 🤠

Gotta love Adam

hilarious bit about US bills and coins. Thanks for the giggle. ;-)
Probably be the same with Canadian currency 😁
You guys absolutely nail this filming gig. Really enjoying following your trip. Love the way you count your money.
You should do a how we save our money video. 'The Frugal Brother' respect 🙏
Thanks so much 🙏 absolutely loving this adventure we always seem to have a camera in our hands. Yeah the frugal brothers more like 😂
John Perry (Melb. Australia)
Great video, lovely sailing footage. What a great place to visit. Look forward to your weekly catch ups. Can you show us your intended course when you sail to the U.S. Keep safe and as usual good sailing.
Hey John. Super glad you enjoyed the video. Yes we film The intended course and predicted weather for the crossing to the US. Coming soon 🤠
Awesome!!
👌🙏⛵
Know the feeling of being the little boat amongst all those (apparently) rich folk. Our little steel Ebbtide 33, 'Mollie of Helford' wasn't envious though :) I did my YM on a Rival 38 so I know exactly where you are coming from - beautiful design and so reassuring.
We always seem to be the smallest boat in The Anchorage. But some say we have the prettiest ⛵
Great video lads, though I'm pretty sure the last BBQ you had was in Tenerife..... I cooked it for you!!!
Hey Henry. I don't remember a BBQ 🤔 😂😂🤣🤣. We ment having our own BBQ was in Scotland. Yours was super epic!!!!!
Thanks guys! I enjoyed watching.
Thanks for watching 👌👌
Awesome, thanks for sharing :)
It's a pleasure Simon 👍
Smart to make the jump!
Great stuff as always!
Always keep a close eye on the weather and swell direction ⛵
They may have bigger and better boats than you .... but you've had bigger and better adventures than them. Thanks for all the great videos lads 👍
Who does need a big expensive yacht. Everything would cost so much more money. Atlas is the best boat in the world 🌎🙏
Another belting video, I'm sure you both have done more mile's than most people there 👍. Thanks for the videos, gets me through the week 😁. Good luck with your next passage.
Thanks Brian. If we added up all our passages it would be thousands of miles. It's great to know we get you through the week 👍
Brilliant thanks lads.. Pushing on what a trip..brilliant upload loved every minute all the best Ricky jack and Dylan 💪🎵🎶🧀⛵⚓
This episodes has gone down pretty well, lots of comments, just like yours🙏⛵😁
It's so great to watch ya'll having fun, yes the American currency is used in mostly in the tropics wate until you get a fifth dollar or a hundred It's not like England there is a water mark on all the currency guys, guy's it's great to see you helping out folks it's great Calmer 👍 but you guy's kee having fun, stay safe, keep exploring, making sailing look so easy, the hut is called a teakey the are made, designed my the American Indian's having a great time exploring 🤙
Hey Winston 😁
Never seen or held American currency in our hands before you could tell 😂😂. All the bills look the same. All us sailors must look out for each other. Having the best time of our lives exploring on Atlas. It's the best job in the world. A teakey hut, oh right!!
When I dive down to any depth I have to have ear plugs because of the pressure, don't know how you do it .Another great video lads..
It's all about equalising the pressure in your ears as you descend. Watch some videos on UA-cam of how to do this ✌️
Great episode! Be safe SB Team!! 👍👍

Thank you so much for the really lovely message! Absolutely loved reading this one 🙏⛵. Must remember to take the washing off when it's dry 🤣🤣
Looks like you guys are out for a grand adventure. Hope you have a great time. US currency is a bit different. Just in case no one has mentioned it, a few security features appear when you hold it up to the light. Also, the notes have raised ink, and you should be able to feel the ridges if you scratch your fingernail over the portrait.
Having the time of our lives, we are extremely lucky. I will definitely look out for the security features on the US currency. Thanks for the information 👍
We travelled to the USVI (St John’s) and BVI (Jost Van Dyke) some time ago, and you’re right. It’s costly but loads of fun.
We were amused by your incredulity about American money, we love our dead presidents, and a few of the living ones too! Monopoly money! Hahaha!!!
Safe travels on your ambitious trip across the Bermuda Triangle! A wee storm’s a-brewin’ as of 8-11 May, so keep an eye out. North Carolina’s a beautiful place, and the Chesapeake Bay is picturesque, make sure to try the soft shelled crabs.
The islands and sailing is incredible but you need very deep pockets. The money was really cool to see in real life, looks really strange to us. We are actually in the US now. Made passage safely. The episodes are around 4 weeks behind real time. North Carolina is lovely
Nice one - brought so many memories back - we anchored in Beef Island in exactly the same spot - maybe in 2015? Weirdest part was I had to fly home from there, getting off the boat, and literally walking 100m to an international airport... then taking off over the boat, my M&D waving from the cockpit. didn't make it to a full moon part, unfortunately...
It's a beautiful anchorage very well protected. We had a meal out in the bar, cost us $60 🤯 yes the airport is very close and the planes fly over the bay. The party was cool 😁
MONOPOLY MONEY!!!! Ahhh that was so hilarious! British Virgin Islands gives you Monopoly money from USA! ;-)
Yep 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great video!
🙏⛵
I can't believe you don't have more subscribers. I've followed you since the early days & I love what you're doing. Your filming has got so much better. I'd be thinking about a series on discovery or something similar
We would love to have more subscribers Andy but appreciate the ones we have. We have come such a long way since sailing around Britain. Absolutely loving this adventure
I've got a suspicion that the $20 note in Canadian money has the Queen on it. If you get up as far as Canada you are in a brilliant spot to see the Niagara Falls, the city of Toronto and the incredible, amazing CN tower, Quebec which is pretty fabulous and Montreal, all with a lot of French speaking people who are very much nicer than the French in France and better at understanding our British attempts at speaking their lingo. At least, that's what I found, so it may not be true for everyone. The Canadians are a total delight, lovely lovely people, down to earth and what us Welsh would call 'solid' people.
We will be going as far north as Canada, really looking forward to exploring up there. Maybe we could get a bus to Niagara falls! They sound like really top people
You guys have huge apatite huge!!!

Another great episode lads. Looks amazing there! That 'Dollars' bit was excellent! You think it's all like 'stuff off a film' you wait 'till you're in the states! Man when i first went to America i was proper taken by the 'I'm in a bloody film!' thing haha! Cheers and all the best! :))
The British Virgin islands we incredible but very expensive. We are actually in the states now. The episodes are around 4 weeks behind real time due to editing and having a buffer. It is like being on a movie set here 😎😁
I used to shrink wrap sometimes 10 thousand dollars and hide it in my cabin Emerald Triangle Northern California
Did you 😆
Atlas was the best boat there - I was a bit surprised to see you came back alone or are you not showing that bit ;-)
We have to keep some things secret Richard 😜
If you look really closely at a dollar you'll see little red and blue fibres running through it - the special paper is their 'security' ... also more modern notes like the 20 have special raised glittery paint on the 20, and there are watermarks that only appear on one side.
Oh right we did not know this, thanks for the information. Having a good look at the dollars now!
Good diving on the anchor - USA dollars it is monopoly money .. great resucue and yip you have to tell us Savanna Bay.... - shew terrible swell - $16 you were ripped off...Jerusalema - good Seth Efrican song... the life of the Rich and Famous.. _ Atlas i s goergeous... and your humility is priceless.
Thank you so much Dirk 😎. We managed to cram so much into that episode. Had such a brilliant time. Will miss the BVI! 😟
LOL, Catamarang

Yes we equalise our ears on the way down. Otherwise it can be very painful. Cheers Paul 👍
If the BVI's premier asks you to take anything to the US for him I would advise you to just politely decline!
