    It's rubbing on the nut for the shock, you can see the end of the bolt protruding through the nut is shiny, pull the bolt out put the nut on the other side of the shock.

    Hey Justin good video, old wheel guy showed me a good cheap way to clean your wheels and tanks. Mothers aluminum polish and then WD40 helps pull the oxidization from the Aluminum, the combo mixture works wonders. Plus the WD40 helps shed the water and road grim off the tanks and wheels for protection and easy wipe off on the go. Flip the bolt around and put some paint on the bolt head and see if the head rubs. Take care and enjoy.

      Got to thinking and the old KW cabover could of been a old 2 stroke Detroit diesel like a 8v91 or 8v92 and then upgraded to a Detroit 60 series diesel engine. Just a thought. Take care

      I built those suspensions and put many of those airbags in Justin. Just be careful when you put the brass fitting back that you don't cross thread that plastic threads. It will leak like crazy then and then on the bolts on the bottom don't over torque that either you'll crack the plastic housing

    Good evening JUSTTRUCKIN FAMILY, Justin thanks for the video hope you are back behind the wheel with a load soon.the truck is looking good since you put some elbow grease on it and the air bag you took off can be reused if you spray some flex seal on it so don't throw it away that stuff works it was used on my buddy's tire and he is still riding on the tire for two months now.looks like you are going to have to order TDUBS some more ring cleaner and you more as well to finish the truck well until the next one stay safe and be careful.

    You should go thru your Kdub one day and pinpoint and address all the little air leaks and try to eliminate the majority of them. I get with being parked up so much it wont hold air forever but it should be able to hold air for at least a day or two (our new trucks will hold it a week). Maybe the constant deflating/inflating is stressing the cab bags?

Always looks better when clean and shiny , old T shirt works much better than those Harbor freight rags , but a foam polish wheel on drill would really have them clean and shining for sure brother. • @Jesse_Jessie_James
    @Jesse_Jessie_James 2 місяці тому +1

    U hardly ever see any cabover's anymore. Jesse's Grandparents had a really nice KW. And it had bunk beds in it the sleeper is like yours. With the sunroof window's above. We would sit up top the top bunk and watch traffic. And either Jesse's Grandma would be driving or his Grandpa and the other one would be watching Tv in the bottom bunk. That is when u could use rabbit ear's. And now u hardly ever get any stations on the air. That is why we have a prepaid tablet to watch movies on the road. And also use it google earth to see locations on how the loading docks are and stuff. We have a Garman for GPS and it works really good. Tells u where weight stations are and where the law enforcement is hiding. Jesse collect's allot of diecast toy's. He has all of the Monster Garage Diecast stuff. And the first 2 they did the mustang mower and the ford explorer garbage truck diecast are signed by the famous Builder Jesse James. And no people my husband is not related to him or the famous outlaw's Frank and Jesse James. Dam that suck's replacing the airbag. Daycabs are easier to do. Jesse had to replace one that was not easy to get to. We are going to be Power washing the house this weekend. And also cleaning out the KW and also washing it. Our powerwahser works excellent. The handle has a device where u can connect attachments for soap and u can remove it to spray all the soap off. Jesse will do the neighbors house also cause it needs it. They asked Jesse to do it if we ever do our house and he said he's doing it this weekend. I figured u had Chicken lights under the sleeper. Our's lights up god at night. The lights on the air filter on the left side are out and Jesse has the new ones for both sides.

The sad thing is they are being installed in AC units like filters, anything to make us sick. I stopped using them 7 yrs ago. All we need is fresh air.

    When Mercedes bought Detroit diesel,Western star and Frieghtliner very shortly afterwards it was a high premium to get another manufacturers engine in your truck …before that GMC Caterpillar international mack Cummins engines could be found in any truck…at the same time 90%+ transmission where fuller(eaton) transmission …Paccar did not make there own engines till they acquired DAF in 2010…when i first started driving trucks back in the early 1980’s the 400 hp cat and the 8v92 where the favour engines in my neck of the wood’s Cummins was distant 3rd..

      Just something to keep in mind. Cabovers are a cool "hobby/collector" truck. Running one on a regular basis can be challenging just because of the limited availability of parts. I run a couple of older t600 kenworths and they were manufactured for over 20 years and it's getting to be more of a challenge to find interior and body parts. Believe me I am all for running older trucks I feel that they are much more dependable than new. It's just something to keep in mind. I was considering making a heavy haul out of a cabover but came to the conclusion parts availability would become a bigger and bigger issue.

    Be worth buying the 2 air bags at $60 to have as spares for on the road. It should get you home and who knows they may work fine. ( He said without a lot of conviction )

    This is just my opinion but I started trucking in the late 70's you had to run cabover's because of length laws. They generally ride rougher but easier to get into tight places ,you will get tired real quick of raising the cab also climbing in and out of is a little tougher and it gets old crawling in and out of the bunk and laying down to change clothes. they usually are a lighter truck but parts could be hard to find. If it's used for actual work I would stay with a conventional just my 2 cents. As for the engine the 60 series is a great engine.

    Bad thing about a cab-over, you're the first one to the accident!

    The only reason COE trucks were phased out was because they relaxed the length laws for 53 ft trailers. We HAD COE tractors for 100 years "" give or take "".
