I keep saying it you are a lot nicer then I. If I have appointment time and I’m there on time and they say they don’t have time for me go to truck stop they’ll call I tell them don’t bother I’ll get another load. After 28 years I don’t have the patience anymore to sit and wait. I understand your position your going to bed.
Kurt, you do such an incredible job at showing us what a normal hard working American can accomplish. Your ethics, work habits and direction you demonstrate with your family, yes that includes those furry kids, proves what success can mean. We hear it all the time, “ money is not everything, but it would be nice to know for sure” LoL. You’re a gentleman and great influence on the younger folks that watch. I have never ridden in a big truck like yours. But when I'm driving home late, an I pass a truck stop lined up with sleeping truckers, I am instantly sleepy 😴 🥱 It is totally psychological, but gets me every time! I imagine them all cozy inside their trucks, with the engines humming.... 😂 I'm immediately ready to crawl into bed!
Shellbell, there is nothing like sleeping in a truck with an idling caterpillar motor. It put you back in your mother‘s womb. I’m totally honest it will put you out big time when your mind is ready for it.👍👍👍

Unfortunately the clerk who check in trucks have never been in or on the road most likely, truckers are limited on driving and try to make everything fit for their schedule but someone saying we don’t have time don’t they have a hub truck so you can drop and pick one and go

Sounds to me like your travel agent needs to talk to that shipper about getting you some detention pay. I find it hard to believe shippers haven't got it through their skulls that you can't drive all night, then stay awake at their beck and call, then get enough down time to be legal, before your required to drop off or pick up your next load. Let alone the domino effect on your schedule and how that affects your earnings. They should be compensating you.
I do the same thing when I'm tired lol I see them trucks parked and I'm like MACK all those sleeping trucks lol 😅

i ran reefer for 12 years, got so damn sick of waiting. the grocery warehouses want you there, and then keep you there. i found flat bedding much better, when you get there they take it off!

Without an ELD you can fudge the times, but with an ELD, it controls your day and makers it more difficult to arrange time for loading, etc. Are you going to get the old CB radio back? Missing the hula girl on top of the CB.

There we were in the deepest darkest sh*t in Vietnam. The year was 1980 I was new boot. My first day in this place they called The Nam. My partner and I were assigned to a special outfit.
