My 51 year old son and I shared this song many times over the years. On June 22, 2023 he lost his battle with cirrhosis of the liver. We were playing videos in his room that day. Not more than a second passed after he was pronounced, this song played. I immediately lost my shit because i knew he made that happen for me. He was telling me that there is peace we are done. No doubt in my mind. And therefore I am at peace with his passing. Amen.

Saw them live at a dinner theatre in Hollywood California. Flawless vocals and musicianship. One of my all time favorite bands ever and never disappoint live. Better than their studio recordings.
It’s not a fashion statement. Rich Williams blew his eye out of his head when he was a kid making bombs with black powder and baby food jars. He twisted the cap onto one and the friction ignited the powder in the rim of the cover. It’s really a horrible thing that he, very thankfully, survived.

Steve Walsh is one of rock's greatest vocalist but doesn't receive the recognition he deserves. This is one of the great songs from the 70's and imo Kansas' best track. I can't believe that it never became a huge worldwide hit. Many people were introduced to it through Supernaturral, but for me it was the Henry Winkler movie "Heroes" back in 1977. Everyone was leaving, but I sat through the entire credits of the movie to make sure I didn't miss a note on the great cinema soundsystem.
One of the worlds most amazing songs...this group of guys created something incredible. And look at them so many years later. No one makes music like this anymore....

Was lucky to see them so much. One concert was new years eve in the 70's maybe 76,77? On one song while they were playing they just disappeared while playing instantly. Music never stopped and then they were there? Never knew how that was done. Stage lights just dimmed for a few seconds and back on.

Yes! The genius behind the band's success. Please check out A.D., the band Kerry formed during the 1980s. Their "Art Of The State" album is state of the art.
This performance was filmed on February 9th, 2009. Kerry had his stroke in September of that same year. He still plays guitar, but with certain limitations and he makes an occasional appearance with Kansas when they play in the Topeka/Kansas City areas.
I saw Kansas in concert sometime around 1974 in Hays Kansas, the amazing thing is they were the backup band and I couldn’t tell you who the feature band was because Kansas was so much better. I remember a local radio DJ was the emcee and he told everyone in the Hays coliseum there was no cigarette smoking in the building but they didn’t say anything else about smoking and here comes Kansas, the house lights went out and there must have been a thousand lighters go off lighting up all the joints. We were about 30’ back and to the left of the stage. Those were some of the best days I ever had, thanks to Kansas.
Pay attention Kids... Real Musicians playing real instruments with real voices.... Kansas will rock throughout the ages!!!!

Still one of the tightest live bands you will ever see. So many classics and they nail every one of them. Just superior musicians.
Saw Kansas last year at Luhr Performing Arts at Shippensburg College. Only 2 original band members still playing, but, they rocked the hall.
Not to mention they still sing at the original keys and nailed it.

I saw Kansas in concert sometime around 1974 in Hays Kansas, the amazing thing is they were the backup band and I couldn’t tell you who the feature band was because Kansas was so much better. I remember a local radio DJ was the emcee and he told everyone in the Hays coliseum there was no cigarette smoking in the building but they didn’t say anything else about smoking and here comes Kansas, the house lights went out and there must have been a thousand lighters go off lighting up all the joints. We were about 30’ back and to the left of the stage. Those were some of the best days I ever had, thanks to Kansas.
Kansas put on one of the best live performances I ever seen, seen then with Jefferson Starship and Kansas seriously brought it!
