Went into to dyno charts there...a Suzuki 8R opened up(fuelling sorted, too lean out the box)loses only ONE horsepower but GAINS 8lbs/ft torque over a Yamaha Tracer 900...so a derestricted 8R is going to out run anything with the old CP3 motor...amazing!
Once again you nailed this. You prepare and present your reviews in such a way that it really engages your UA-cam audience. Love the tarn backdrop. Andy.
Great review Dave, I own the 8s have nearly 3000 miles on it and it’s definitely smile per mile, not tried this yet but may ask to ride it when mines in for its 1yr service.
Honda VFR800(which just ceased production),this is the replacement, Suzuki just beat them getting it out...huge range of accessories now available for touring...cruise control will come too from McCruise!
Good morning from Norfolk, many thanks for your enthusiastic review and not to dwell on it but you really seemed to enjoy it. I have not ridden for a number of years and am thinking of enlisting once again however, still not sure. This review brings the thought to mind that "enjoyment" is what this mode of transport should be about. Of course, in our younger days, the thrill of the speed was at the fore, if we come through those earlier adventures relatively unscathed, then the pure enjoyment should be the aim. As always Dave, I really enjoy your efforts to bring these reviews, regards, Roy.
I'm 57yrs old...that's aimed at me...single rider on Scottish roads , all you need power wise(de-cated...84bhp ARW,which is about 95bhp at the crank),with approx 200 miles to empty(210mls is the official figure)...I'm in!
Hi another good video as usual and scenery looks a nice bike but not my style anymore I’m afraid but I love that colour blue lots of manufacturers seem to use that colour like bmw cars especially with the msports great colours though and the bike seems a good price though but I’m surprised it’s not got adjustable levers in that price but I expect you could spec them but nice bike anyway good review and scenery as always take care
Great review Dave. I’ve ridden this bike too when my Interceptor was getting serviced a few weeks back. I find myself in total agreement with all you said. It’s odd; but I could hardly ride the 1000GT my back hurt so much. So disappointing coz I only rode the bike from the dealership to home and back again; that’s literally all I could manage. Not the bikes fault in any way, my knackered old bones🤪. Yet the 800 was perfect. Soz for wittering on; nice work bud. Ride safe. Neil
Lovely looking bike and the colour too. It's amazing how small they've managed to get that exhaust and still keep it legal, especially when you compare it to some of the other bikes massive offerings. I wonder how effect the twin stacked head light will be in the dark. I had a honda blackbird and that had twin stacked and it was like you'd got a couple of candles to light your path, used to hate riding it in the dark.I suppose being led should help. By the way that bike was an inline four and I loved it, pulled like a train. Shame they only give this Suzuki a peanut size tank, can't stand petrol stations, so having to call at then every 150mls or so would be a ball ache. Had a mate with a Honda 800v and he'd get 240 out of that , with what you might say as spirited riding 😉 much better range. Take it easy fella and maybe one day, I'll see thee too 😂
Great review Dave and oh to be young and flexible enough to ride that bike without the need for ibuprofen..! 😂😂 I’m assuming that those wonderful country roads were from Andy’s “Atlas of Amazing Roads” 👍
Heyup, you think that's a tongue twister of a name , my mates got a Hardly Davidson , it's a FXRTWIDE BOY XLHGYCHMSPRTSTER HERITAGE HARD TAIL LOW ESTEEM 98CUBIC INCH .Tommy Tickle.
The bike is lacking a decent rear end & proper dual seat . The IT & gamer nerds in Suzukis design department have obviously been left unsupervised again . This monstrosity is giving me mechanical scorpion insect vibes , it’s a no big cigar from me.
Bye Gum Bingley Wheeler! Tha keeps heading west into them bad lands of Lancashire! I'm intreaged as to how come when you cross the border Tha film stays in colour? Not the black & white that I'm understood to exist in them there Bad Lands!?

wot? our Dave hooning around on a sports bike?? lol, glad you enjoyed it Dave
Not my kind of bike at my age but would have fancied it 20 years ago, when I owned a VRF 800. Nice video Dave, as usual.

Cheers Andy great to have you along 👍🏻

GSX 8R
Hi Dave, Suzuki are certainly bringing out some good looking bikes especially in the blue😊👍🏻 carry on that man Caio for now tat ta 👍🏻
Really enjoyed the review. Your best content for me is when you are in front of the camera and waxing lyrical 😂👍
Cheers Chris
Very nice looking bike and i like the colour. Nice review
If I was young and not of creaking bones this would be my go to bike. What cant it do. Always loved twins of any kind and suzukis

12:09 that guy on the bike in front will be thinking that you are following him 😉
It's Dave's friends bike I'm quite sure. It's the Triumph parked up at the lake and he's on a bench by the lake.

Thank you Neil yes it’s a great bike…..know what you mean about the GT 👍🏻

They were indeed Nick and….I’d taken the ibuprofen first thing 😎👍🏻
There's a name which doesn't roll off the tongue 😜
21:30 the Honda Hornet 2.0 looks interesting, not sure the 17bhp is a match for the power of the 8R though 😁
Moore Mafia sorted the lean fuelling(for emissions) and it's kicking out 84bhp...at the rear wheel, which matches Honda's cranks figure!
Great review but was the engine any good? You didn’t make your opinion clear about it. 😋
Info at mins 8 onwards.
😂
Maybe your comment was tongue in cheek, it is Sunday morning and i am on my first coffee.😎
@@RoyWFish yes it was, I was up before six so might have an awake advantage😁

Just to clarify then is it the GSX8R 😂😂😂
Apparently it is…..but then
