    Awh i play volleyball too so i love that last illo! also it's amazing that you're practicing japanese with your sister. idk if y'all are also part of the diaspora, but language is one of the most difficult but rewarding ways to reconnect w the culture. it's interesting to see a stranger on the internet have such similar hobbies and interests ahaha. oh and congrats on finalizing those prints! so excited for you on this shop launch :)

      omg aw thank you!!!💗 yes 100% - I feel so connected to japanese traditions and culture and even little things like the food have such a warm place in my heart, & I want so badly for my (eventual lol) kids to be able to experience that, and connecting with the language (and being able to talk to people while im in japan) brings a world of joy I cant even explain🥹 so cool to find people that relate🫰🫰

    Hi :) What printer do you have in your little studio workspace? I loved how it printed the commission piece when you did that & I'm in the market for a new printer for my own little artsy shop. I've been binge-watching your videos today -- thanks for keeping me company on a lonely day. Love your stuff :) Almost makes me wanna start a channel, lol, but I am already a lady with too many creative projects. I'm glad people like you do, though! Really, thank you. & let me know about the printer?
    Cheers,
    Kait

      Ah thank you sm!! I'm glad you've been enjoying my videos🥹🫶 yeah I like it a lot - I have the Canon Pixma Pro-100, and I use the Precision Colors Refill system to save money on ink refills (its a bit of a mess around to get it set up with the printer but afterwards its pretty simple - they have lots of different tutorial videos online and an instruction sheet that comes with the ink) hope this helps!🙏🫰

    It's so great to watch you do all the technical stuff with getting your shop up. Hoping the launch will go well. ❤️
    Question about the print quantities: why 25 and not 26? Do they offer increments of 25 as a default despite printing 4/sheet? I had never considered this before but as someone who works with set production/sales units (f.ex all manufacturing orders must be divisible by 4 units, otherwise the rest will 'go to waste') I could totally see the shortcut to an easier life here. 😂

      thank you!!! idk honestly i just rounded to a clean number and called it good LOL from the printshops end, while they do print in 4s, typically when you order any quantity of prints they give you a few extra anyways (incase of b-grade copies or damage in transit) so i don't think exact order quantities matter too much to them🤔

      @@leechuts sounds good. 😅 True, there's always some 'wastage' in prints, so it probably wouldn't be that much of an issue. Stock levels are just so effing hard. 😅 I've been planning my own little shop and I'm trying to go as low waste as possible. The printers I've looked at offer good deals on large sheet printing and, as the cheapskate that I am, I thought about printing my small stuff on those and cutting everything myself. Seeing you cut the prints, the thought popped in my head that I might have been approaching the issue from the wrong direction... Maybe the solution is not to print 4 copies of the same print on a page, but rather to print one large image that combines several prints. 🤔

      @@thinkerdreamersketcherspy yeah thats definitely an option! I see lots of other shop owners who print and cut everything themselves, its all up to preference and what you're willing to spend time/money on

    Love your videos and I'm so excited for your store! Definitely will be buying some if you ship internationally.
    Sorry if you've already answered this question a million times, but what brush did you use for the I-Illustration? I've been looking for a nice inking brush on procreate. is it a procreate brush? Thank you :)

      @leechuts  Рік тому +1

      yay thank you!! yes! I'll have shipping options for my international ppl🫶 no worries at all, I was using the Inka brush (in the inking folder) its one of my favs - really great texture & lineweight capabilities!
