    May I suggest CarPro Perl instead of 303, it's designed to be diluted. 5/1 for interiors, 3/1 for exterior plastic and 1/1 or undiluted for tires.Nice content, keep it up.

    I liked you straight forward presentation of products today. I feel your product choices are pretty solid, but I have not used any Superior products. I do use the P&S Interior products (except in my own car, in which I use Ammo Products) and they are much better (effective) and more cost effective than many other products. It seems you are targeting mid-market vehicles so you are off to a good start and I am sure you will refine a few of your product choices over time. I am a hobbyist who details family, friends and neighbor's vehicles. I use several higher end products that you are not using, but I am not trying to make a specific profit margin. There are detailers who target the luxury car market that use better and more expensive products. Perhaps that is in your future. I think you have made wise choices.
    I would like to say I enjoy you channel so far because you do a very good job in articulating your reasoning processes. You have an awareness and thoughtfulness that most small business owners do not. I feel you will succeed because you are very clear-headed, analytical and have common sense. You would probably succeed in any other similar venture.

      @DetailWithJess  Рік тому

      Thank you so much! Yes, my current clientele is more of the mid-market vehicles based upon where I live. Quite honestly, I think. I enjoy it that way! I am always trying new products though and have added quite a few new ones to my work. I just wanted to share in this video what I started my business with. Thank you so much for all of the kind words and thoughts!

    Yes VRP from Chemical Guys can be used as interior dressing, exterior trim dressing, and great tire shine. It's like $9 at Walmart. Great product!! Just make sure to buff off very lightly if put on too heavy it will attract dust. Great video!!

      I've been using VRP as a tire shine for a while now. It leaves a nice satin shine that lasts a few weeks. But I've been wanting to try Aqua Gloss for a more economical solution. If I need something that lasts longer than that, I use Renew Protect BLAK.

    Not many LSP’s will play nice with the glass. I avoid spraying any on the glass and then give the glass a wipe down with my drying towel after drying the paint to just give the glass a tiny bit of the residual from the towel. Otherwise you’ll be buffing that stuff off the glass for days.

    Great call out on where NOT to use Super Clean - I know there's lots of fans out there for it - I have it too but using it very diluted and only on things I've tested it on not as an APC.

    I hear you Jess. Great video. I love P&S Xpress and Super Clean is so versatile.
    For interior dressing, I use VRP from chemical guys. And I'm about to text Meguiars Hyper Dressing.
    Secret secret : try testing your interior cleaner + water based dressing mixed together!! Let me know how it works for you..... It's a time saver for me and imho it leaves a great shine to plastics.
    Keep sharing these great videos!

    • @DetailWithJess
      @DetailWithJess  Рік тому +1

      Have you tied that secret secret with P&S Xpress?! Because that’d be amazing! I have heard good things about VRP. I recently started using P&S Swift and it is AMAZING but it’s best for maintenance cars…it doesn’t cut the dirt as needed for dirtier vehicles then ay P&S does.

    • @milord.mobile.detail
      @milord.mobile.detail Рік тому +1

      @@DetailWithJess yes I do use P&S Xpress with it!! I love the smell too! So try this out in a 32oz bottle:
      * 13 oz P& Xpress
      * 13 oz distilled water
      * 3 oz Super Clean
      * 3 oz of your dressing of choice
      You can play with the numbers as you want more cleaning ability or more shine from the dressing.

    Jess looks like you have done some good research on your chemicals. I myself use different chemicals. I like for Adam’s car shampoo Adam’s wheel cleanser and they usually have a 30% For interior and wheel dressing I like Carpro Perl dilution. I like Koch Chemie Green Star and Pol star for cleaning dilution pennies. Floor mats Koch Chemie gummifix. Then I have a detail spray Adam’s slick & shine and there regular detail spray clay lubricant. I have Adam’s iron remover. And I use IPA for windows and for after I polish car before I do a sealant or ceramic coating.

    I tried aqua gloss on a dash one time. Diluted 2-1. Didn't like it. I now use 303, but the blue bottle, not sure if there is a difference. I do aqua gloss for the tires at full strength and I like it for that.

    Superclean is great, but it’s very high alkaline, so you need to even it out after you use it or it will bleach the paint or upholstery & leather. You want to even out the PH.
