    For folks reading this, reached out to Sandro regarding removal of wheel weight adhesives. He recommended a heat gun to loosen/remove the foam with a non-marring tool, and TarX to remove the adhesive. Got both, used as he recommended (and per label instructions), and it couldn't have been a smoother process. Thanks, Sandro!

    CarPro Lift IS HANDS DOWN the best touchless pre-wash. Intense cleaning, particularly on bugs guts & bird bombs, and the longest dwell time & thickest suds!! It also drags dirt down rather than just clinging & drying. Plus it smells like lucky charms🤗🤗. Awesome video Sandro been waiting for one like this for a long time!!

      Have you ever tried Bilt-Hamber Touchless or Auto-foam? Not trying to start an argument here but the price of Lyft for that size bottle is ridiculous, atleast here in the States. For a little more that the price of 2 bottles of Lyft, shown here, you can get a gallon of either Bilt-Hamber products, it's just a great value and melts away salt/muck/dirt without an issue!
      Bilt-Hamber products are incredible!

      @@klasseact6663 I usually buy Bilt Hamber autofoam by the 5 liter! It’s my go to for mobile detailing. I do prefer BH touchless but it’s too expensive to justify doing as a business. I’d say all of CarPro’s pricing is pretty vampiric. The only thing I use from them is Tar remover, because I only use it on 1/100 cars I do lol

    Hello my friend and thank you for running this channel. I've been following you for a few years, you've taught me a lot about car care and preparation. In addition, I have to tell you that I really appreciate your calm manner, you bring all the details across so calmly and understandably, thank you for that. I myself only do vehicle preparation semi-professionally, for friends and acquaintances. But I love the sight of a perfectly shiny car and its interior. Thanks to you I have learned a lot about the individual products, thank you my friend. I think your channel deserves a lot more attention, because you learn a lot about the perfect vehicle preparation. Greetings from all my heart from Germany.

    Definitely some great products there, over the years Nv snow + has probably become one my favourite products in my arsenal, just seems to clean so well, and used at a 1:10 dilution as a pre spray prior to contact washing, really supercharges it’s cleaning ability and continues to surprise me with its ability to strip back the surface without requiring further use of harsher apcs and/or traffic film removers.
    Well done once again mate 👌

    I would suggest to anyone cleaning their car frequently to buy a wheel cleaner and a strong apc that is concentrated, can be diluted and offered in gallon. A bottle ready to use is often just to expensive, will need to restock basically every month or two.
    And don't get a 2 in 1 wheel cleaner/iron decontamination. Get a concentrated wheel cleaner that you like, and iron X. Only use iron X when needed.

      @@jdmkidk24 you have to work out your PIR and you can adjust from 1%-4% depending how dirty it is. During the summer where it’s just light dirt 1-2% is enough and I don’t use up the full 1 litre solution in my foam bottle, I mix it in with 500 ml which is still more than enough to cover the full car.

    Thank you Sandro. A little surprised you recommend the MTM foam cannon in 2023. Our local dealer usually has to throw in a free 16oz bottle of soap to move them.
    Seems like they're the only company on the market that hasn't figured out the wide mouth bottle yet, and I constantly had to adjust the fan nozzle because it came loose so easily.

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  11 місяців тому +2

      Yes I agree a wider, easier to pour in bottle would be nice. But I tested it against quite a few other lances and the MTM always had the best cling and longest foaming dwell time - that’s really what impressed me about it.

    • @Ichabod_Jericho

      The best thing about the MTM is the repair-ability! Very simple and easy to work through if it clogs a little. The steel casing & nuts & springs inside are high quality and last a long time while also being very easily & cheaply replaced with goods from your local hardware store.

    Thanks Sandro, for taking the time to put this together. I always enjoy your videos, but this one was particularly informative.
    I'm curious to know if you've ever done a video on regular, weekly decontamination during maintenance washes? My workplace is next door to an asphalt production plant, so you can imagine the amount of airborne mineral and tar based contamination is stuck to my poor truck by Friday afternoon. I'm currently using Meguiar's hybrid ceramic for main protection, but I'm curious about anything I can use weekly to remove this gritty mess without damaging my paint or needing to re apply protection after every wash? Can you offer any suggestions?

      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  11 місяців тому +2

      My pleasure mate and your situation may need some trial an error testing to find the best solution.
      The vehicle in the video has a 3mth old ceramic coating, so I can comfortably use traffic film, iron and tar removers to deep clean the surface without compromising the coating - which is very chemical resistant.
      You may find you’ll need to test perhaps something like BugOut or Poorboy’s StripDown to see if they firstly remove the contamination and secondly if Meguiars HCW holds up to them.
      You could even try Carpro Multi-X starting at 1:5 and working your way up or down in diluting it accordingly.

      @CarCraftAutoDetailing thanks for taking the time for this thoughtful response! I'm beginning to think that the time has come to actually jump into the world of "pro-sumer" coatings. The cost of course us more, but having something I can actually get clean without degrading the coating would be nice. To be honest, I believe the worst dirt accumulated this past couple of weeks has been due to poor air quality/fallout from the wildfires here in Canada. We had a really bad week last week, it was actually hard to breathe for a couple of days due to the poor air quality. I'm going to do some trial and error, and maybe get ready to "up my game" next year. Again, thanks so much for taking the time!🙂

    Another awesome video, Sandro. You recommend Shine Supply's Wise Guy for tyres, but how is it on wheels compared to NV Purge? I'm looking at keeping it simple and hoping that this will allow me to use it for both tyres and wheels. Cheers, mate.

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  11 місяців тому +1

      Thanks and you can absolutely use WiseGuy for wheels, but I would recommend diluting further at least 1:5 up to 1:10. The main reason I prefer Purge is that it’s more gentle and a little better on brake dust, but WiseGuy will still be very capable and at the right dilution also safe.

    Thanks for all your incredibly helpful content over the years, not sure my bank account would agree but 😂
    Can I also ask, is there any specific combo of product plus an applicator/brush that you like to use on the more aggressively lugged off road tires? I haven't quite found a combo that speeds up the application process yet. I've just been using a foam applicator and "sponging" it in.

      A tyre dressing combination I like a lot particularly on off-road 4x4 tyres using Zaino Z16 with a detailing brush (something like the Carpro Boar Hair brush) and just painting Z16 over the tyre walls and knobby treat patterns, it’s great at getting into all the intricate areas. Also just leave on and usually it all self leaves within 30-45mins and looks just amazing. You can also just use a cloth to wipe off any runs on the rims or any excess dressing.

    Great video and brilliant insight into different products and reasons why they work for you, being careful and sensible about what you use is what should get you good results. I wanted to do a decon on one of our cars while I was off last week and a quick polish and re-protect. It’s been blazing hot near 30 degrees in the uk and have left it as I’m not prepared to go out with a fallout remove until I get some good shade to work in, just asking for trouble.
    Though I’d share some that work well for me…..
    Tyre Cleaner - Autoglanz Rebound
    APC - Bilt Hamber Surfex HD
    Pure Shampoo-
    Adams Blue Shampoo
    Decon Shampoo -
    Garage Therapy Zero Decon
    Strip Shampoo - as above or
    Meguiars wash +
    Snowfoam (good cleaning)-
    Bilt Hamber Autofoam / Touchless
    Autoglanz Spritzer (Citrus)
    Iron Fallout Remover-
    Auto Finesse Iron Out. Not cheap but states not an issue if drys as long as not used in direct sunlight
    Car Pro Iron X or BH Korrosol also good, former was first one I ever used
    Acid Shampoo (coating rejuvenation or mild water spots) - Labocosmetics Purifica
    Water Spots
    (Mild) Koch Chemie FSE (Detail Spray post wash)
    (Worst case) Labocosmetica Energo
    Tar - Autosmart Tardis with care for quick and effective removal
    Safer option is Autoglym for light deposits
    Clay Lubricant - ONR or P&S Absolute which also use for rinseless washing
    Still need to try out BH Soft clay as can be used with just water but would use rinseless as a precaution. I agree the newer synthetic stuff is good and quicker if a little less effective, I also want to try out some of the newer ones with more pores in to keep the contamination better from the surface such as The Rag Company Ultra Clay Scrubber, as although only one use of the Carbon Collective Exfoli Block worked well I feel the prior would be safer and gentler.
    Thank for the content Sandro 👍🏼

    Very disappointed to see that you've snubbed Bowden's, Sandro. For a brand that won almost every single comparison you did, I find it hard to believe that their quality has just dropped over the years, or that the older products in this video are suddenly so much better.
