I'm technically overweight, according to "BMI", but that is because I have a naturally muscular physique and always have. I'm just heavy, and I'm good with that. I like the way I look, I have energy, and I feel comfortable in my clothes. Who cares what the scales say?

I so appreciate that you produce these videos with modesty and respect for yourself in the way you dress. So many workout instructors dress unnecessarily provocatively and it's very disappointing. I feel our bodies are not for show and tell but rather to be kept precious and I feel sorry for the ladies that expose their beauty in a way that will only draw dishonorable attention to them. Okay, I am ready to work this body! :)

So nice! When I switched to "yoga only" I was worried I would gain back the weight I'd lost. I haven't, and I've actually lost more, from not focusing on losing weight..it's a paradox!

Honestly, I had been staying away from this one initially as, as you often mention, I try to come to yoga mainly for the silence of mind, rather than to change my body. I chose to do this one today as my mind was especially active- and this was the only higher intensity class that I hadn't done yet. I really appreciated all your comments around this issue of weight loss, body image, desire to be other there where I am- physically or otherwise really. The reality is that this class or any class really can be called a lot of things. Feeling grateful ;)

Lesley, I have to say-- I've been a yogi for a couple of years now, stumbled upon your UA-cam channel about a year ago and have been practicing them daily ever since (sometimes twice a day if I felt like I just couldn't get enough)! I absolutely adore the routines that you put together, finding them to be challenging yet encouraging simultaneously. I think this routine has become one of my favourites (doable for newbies but also a great workout for more seasoned yogis as well I reckon). Sounds like you may have a kapha dosha. Do you eat a lot of cold foods, fried or non spicy foods? Or green teas? I study yoga and Ayurveda and there are ways to balance this bloat, given you eat healthy, but what is best for your constitution. Checkout mapi.com and take a dosha quiz. Chopraa center is fine too if that's what you prefer

Such a challenging class.Loved it! Its quite difficult for me at the moment to do chaturanga as I have a ligament injury in my wrist, (its hard to have my wrist in a bent position) so I am doing it on my fists. aaahhh!!!!! Sure is strengthening my biceps! Your classes are always such a perfect mix and I love your beautiful intentions throughout the class and also at the end to have clear and loving thoughts, clear and loving intentions and clear and loving communication. Hi Lesley! Thanks for this wonderful class! Could I make a special request? I try to practice vinyasa every day, but get a lot of irritation across the front of the shoulders from all the chaturangas. Could you maybe make a tutorial on how to avoid that? It's that push-up movement that is killing me :S I hear that I could just modify the position of my arms but I'm not sure how... Thank you so much for everything you do!!

Such a hard transition for me! Could you post a tutorial? I'm wondering if it's because I'm tall (6'1") and don't have enough upper body strength perhaps? Or is it more based on core strength? Hello Lesley. Thanks for uploading these awesome yoga lessons. I have been doing this particular schedule for about a week now and I feel great already. I just have a little issue. I get a little headache after the schedule sometimes. What could possibly be the reason behind this? Is there any particular Asana in this schedule which I should skip?
I'm so sorry to hear about your headache. I think it would be best to take it a bit easier until your body gets used to being inverted so much. Everytime you practice downward facing dog, you're in an inversion and that could be causing a headache. Also, be sure to drink lots of water! If you're taking requests... You did a twist and detox class that was about 45 minutes long, which I loved, could you do another one? When you said, "crescent, or croissant if you're French", I about died laughing. You make me smile all the time. Thank you

Hi Lesley! Thanks for this wonderful class! Could I make a special request? I try to practice vinyasa every day, but get a lot of irritation across the front of the shoulders from all the chaturangas. Could you maybe make a tutorial on how to avoid that? It's that push-up movement that is killing me :S I hear that I could just modify the position of my arms but I'm not sure how... Thank you so much for everything you do!!

Hi Lesley! I love all your classes, thank you so much for bringing yoga to us all! Question for you- I struggle to step forward out of downward dog into (for example) warrior one or two. Such a hard transition for me! Could you post a tutorial? I'm wondering if it's because I'm tall (6'1") and don't have enough upper body strength perhaps? Or is it more based on core strength? Hello Lesley. Thanks for uploading these awesome yoga lessons. I have been doing this particular schedule for about a week now and I feel great already.
I just have a little issue. I get a little headache after the schedule sometimes. What could possibly be the reason behind this? Is there any particular Asana in this schedule which I should skip?
I'm so sorry to hear about your headache. I think it would be best to take it a bit easier until your body gets used to being inverted so much. Everytime you practice downward facing dog, you're in an inversion and that could be causing a headache. Also, be sure to drink lots of water!
