The existing car port was pretty much on the same spot, not sure how and why is compliance being so close to the property line but when the architect did the plans went through with the surveyor and apply with council they didn’t have any problem with it… I’m 2 meters setback from the back fence because there is a water pipe going under so I wasn’t allow to go to close to it, I’m in the Easter suburbs of Melbourne, different councils different rules 😄
Either the shed is 900mm from the boundary or the shed needs to be 900mm from the house. The building code does not care if the shed burns down as long as it doesn't spread to the house.
Thank you! I’ve only done the insulation in the roof for the moment it’s only gonna be a place where I work not live for the moment, will see how hot it gets in there in the summer 😁😁
Thank you! Very much mate, dealing with council not fun, everything is overly engineered and cost money and they are very slow..but eventually I’ve got there 😁
Nice job mate Can you give us a price break down I’m about to get a best shed 7x10m and also need a new slab I’ll be doing it myself as well so price would be great
here is the breakdown: -council/surveyor/architect/plans $8400 -shed flat pack delivered and built myself $10800 -concrete slab and driveway $21000 -new fence $1000 -electrical including wiring from the house and new fuse board $2000 (mate's rate) -plumbing $1500 (also mate's rate) -excavation flat garden and dig for wiring and pipes $200 (also mate's rate) -around $1000 for random expenses like a sink inside the shed, crash rocks, screws or hardware in general. demolishing I also did it myself as you seen in the video and ive tried to do as much as I could to save some $$$, despite that it was still a 50k project. took me over 2 year so save some money and I still got a small loan to cover some of it. I prioritise working on cars and on 4wd on my spare time so it was well worth it for me as its my hobby/passion. subscribe if you feel like supporting my channel, :) and thank you so much for watching the video!
I’ve had a carport and a small shed there so there was already stuff built against the fence, also my neighbour is pretty awesome he never really cared he is pretty easy going, he also offered to pay for half of the fence without me asking him, I’m pretty lucky and grateful! He also has a shed built against the fence with the other back neighbour…we all pretty chill about luckily! 😄

Thank you! 🙏
Nice shed you’ve got yourself
Sick build !
thank you mate 👍
How did you get it passed with it being so close to the fence line? I thought it had to be 900 from the property line?
