    I'm so glad I came across this series. I've been planning a workshop/garden house thing in one big building just like this. The exact same building technologies I was going to use and everything. So glad to see your successes and issues. AND you're also from the UK, as someone who watches a lot of DIY/construction/manufacturering stuff, it's all North American based that's actually good quality. Also, I had no idea about that non combustible wall part so you may have saved me a huge issue and money.
    I was wondering if you (or anyone else here) knew of a more attractive non combustible wall? If I can keep the neighbours as happy as possible I'm willing to do it :)

    I've really enjoyed this series, because it has demystified a lot of the finer details about a DIY out-building. I've always wanted to build something like this, but each time I ran through the design and details I ran out of budget on the estimate and know-how about "belt & braces" strength. I probably would have ran out of patience too, with a half-built monstrosity lying in my back garden until my old age. Great stuff!

    Most garage electric door installers recommend you have an alternative method of entry so that if you have an electrical fault you can still get in and open the roller door manually. The workshop looks great but as someone else mentioned why no windows?

    • @TheDIYGuy1
      @TheDIYGuy1  3 місяці тому +4

      I have a manual override but not filmed that due to it being shown in my roller door guide video. No windows by choice due to security, tool theft is at an all time high

      I’m actually toying with the idea of insulated steel sheets as well. Cost wise they seems to stack up and speed wise, seem a no brainer. What do you think?
